1.Recent progress on study of the selection of intraocular lens in the bilateral sequential cataract surgery
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2014;32(6):560-562
Bilateral sequential cataract surgery is very common in clinical, but the ophthalmologists often ignore how to choose the timing of operation and whether the first eye can be used to improve the intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation for the second one.Despite the refinements in IOL selection with the use of third-generation IOL formulas,5% of eyes still result in a postoperative refractive surprise of ± 1.00 D or more. This paper introduced the methods of using refraction error of the first eye to improve the IOL power calculation for the second eye,and the refractive error of the second eye can be improved by modifying the IOL power to correct up to 50% of the error from the first eye in details.Because of the variation of the postoperative refractive surprise within a month, the interval of three to four weeks between two eyes cataract surgery is highly recommended. These conclusions may provide the advantageous guidance for us in the selection of IOL in bilateral cataract surgery.
2. Pharmacokinetics of fondaparinux sodium in Chinese patients after major thoracic surgery
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2012;47(24):2022-2025
OBJECTIVE: To characterize the pharmacokinetics of a single dose of 2.5 mg fondaparinux sodium in Chinese patients after thoracic surgery. METHODS: Thirteen patients were enrolled in the study and were given a single dose of 2.5 mg fondaparinux sodium via a subcutaneous injection. Plasma concentrations of fondaparinux sodium were measured throughout a 24 h period. The pharmacokinetic analysis was performed using WinNonlin software. RESULTS: The following pharmacokinetic parameters were derived; t1/2(7.92 ± 3.13) (4.21-15.89) h, tmax(2.52 ± 0.93) (1.38-4) h, p-1 (0.73 ± 0.18) (0.45-1.02) mg · L-1, AUClast(6. 56 ± 2.19) (3.07-9. 75)mg · h · L-1, Vz/F(3.54 ± 1.00) (2.24-5.73) L, CL/F(0.34 ± 0.14) (0.16-0.63) L · h-1, and MRTlast (6.98 ± 2.1) h. The pearson correlation coefficient, r was 0.7283(P = 0.005) between the serum creatinine(Scr) and mean residence time(MRTlast) of fondaparinux. CONCLUSION: The disposition of fondaparinux is highly variable in patients. A statistical significant correlation between Scr and MRTlast of fondaparinux was observed. Fondaparinux sodium administered by intravenous injection is well tolerated in patients.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2015;(2):129-133
MicroRNA is a type of endogenous noncoding small molecular RNA with a length of 19-25 nucleotides. MicroRNAs are involved in almost all key biological processes, such as cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and hematopoiesis, via repres-sion of target gene expression. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common type of pediatric cancer. It is a heterogeneous disease with different clinical signs, morphology, immunophenotype, and cytogenetics. Currently, several microRNAs have implicated aberrant expression in ALL and play an important role in cancer initiation and development. MicroRNA expression pattern is associated with clinical feature, prognosis, and treatment. Therefore, microRNAs could act as a novel marker to help scientists learn about the pathogenesis of ALL and to provide more effective treatment options.
4.Common hemodynamic classification of circulatory failure and therapy principles
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2012;19(3):220-223
According to the hemodynamic changes, circulatory failure is divided into warm shock and cold shock, and severe circulatory failure often co-exist in both conditions in children.Circulatory failure in children is characterized by rapid change on hemodynamic status, pathologic vasodilation, relative or absolute hypovolemia, myocardial depression, altered blood flow distribution, and metabolic disorders.Therapeutic strategies include improving cardiac output and tissue perfusion, achieving SVO2>70% and cardiac index to 3.3~6.0 L/( min· m2 ),ensuring the intravascular blood volume and cardiac load.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2012;35(18):10-12
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of uterine arterial embolization combined with hysteroscopes in the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy(CSP).Methods Seventy CSP patients were divided by willingness of patients and their familiality into treatment group and control group with 35 cases each. The treatment group was treated with uterine arterial embolization combined with hysteroscopes, while the control group was treated with uterine curettage after crug therapy. The intraoperative and postoperative situations of two groups were observed. Results The intraoperative blood loss, erythrocyte suspension transfusion, plasma transfusion, preparation time before curettage, hospital stay and pestoperative serum β- human chorionic gonadotropin in treatment group were all obviously lower than those in control group [(420.7 ± 18.9) ml vs.(1893.9 +39.8) ml,(2.1 + 1.3) U vs.(11.1 ±1.4) U,(400.2 ±23.6) ml vs.(1700.3 ± 31.4) ml,(3.9 ± 2.3) d vs.( 18.8 ± 6.7) d,( 14.32 ± 3.89) d vs.(37.83 ± 8.98) d,(312 ± 54) U/L vs.(532 ± 85) U/L,P< 0.01].There was 1 case with massive hemorhage in treatment group, while 3 cases in control group. Conclusions Uterine artery embolization combined with hysteroscopes is a safe and effective treatment with less trauma for CSP.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
6.Expression and role of Twist and N-cadherin in pancreatic cancer
Chinese Journal of Pancreatology 2012;12(4):238-241
ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of Twist and N-cadherin in pancreatic cancer, and to study its relationship with clinicopathological parameters and patients' prognosis. Methods The expression of the Twist and N-cadherin in 62 tissue samples from patients with pancreatic ductal adencocarcinoma and 10 normal pancreatic tissue samples was determined by using immunohistochemistry MaxVision two step method, and the relationship with clinicopathological parameters and patients' prognosis was analyzed.ResultsThe positive expression rate of Twist in pancreatic cancer was higher than that of normal pancreatic tissues (96.8% vs.30%,P <0.01 ),and the positive expression rate of N-cadherin was higher than that of normal pancreatic tissues (75.8% vs.0,P <0.01),but there was no correlation between them (r =0.100,P =0.441 ).The expressions of Twist and N-cadherin was significantly correlated with TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, infiltration of portal vein or nerves and tumor location ( P <0.05 ),but not with age, gender and degree of differentiation ( P > 0.05 ).The post-operative survival of patients decreased with the increasing Twist expression, but the survival was not associated with the expression of N-cadherin.TNM stage, the expression of Twist was independent predictive factors of prognosis for pancreatic cancer patients.ConclusionsTwist and N-cadherin are highly expressed in pancreatic cancer, and the expression was associated malignant behavior of pancreatic cancer. The abnormal expression of Twist may be a potential marker for prognosis evaluation of pancreatic cancer patients.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2009;17(4):309-311
Superficial siderosis of the central nervous system is a seldom disease in clinical practice. Its most common clinical manifestations are hearing loss and ataxia. It is a hemosiderin deposition in the surface of the brain and spinal cord after chronic subarachnoid hemorrhage. Magnetic resonance imaging can make the diagnosis. However, further research and clinical verification are needed.
8.Research progress on mechanism and premedication regimen of taxanes hypersensitivity reactions
Journal of International Oncology 2009;36(3):190-192
Hypersensitivity reactions ( HSRs) are the serious problems of taxanes in the clinical appli- cation. These reactions range in severity from mild flushing and itching to bronchospasm, dyspnea and signifi-cant alterations in blood pressure with loss of consciousness or not, and death in some rare cases. Nevertheless, HSRs are often reported only sporadically in clinical trials or as case reports. The vague or inconsistent termi-nology used to describe these reactions may reflect our poor understanding of their pathophysiology. This article will reviews the advancement of taxanes HSRs.
9.Diagnosis and treatment of hepatic trauma: a report of 55 cases
International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(2):78-80
Objective To summarize the experiences of the diagnostic and therapeutiec approach of hepatic trauma. Methods Referencing to the literature of recent years,we retrospectively analyzed the clinieal data of 55 cases of liver trauma. Results Among the 55 cases.18 eases of stage Ⅰ~Ⅱ.1 5 cases of stage Ⅲ,17 eases of stage Ⅳ and 5 cases of stage V,Thirty-one cases received non-operative treatment.and 24 cases reeeived operative therapy. In non-operative treatment group, the cure rate was 100%.In operation Ireatmenl group the cure rate was 91.7%.Conclusions Focused abdominal sonography for trauma (FAST) and diagnostic peritoneal paraeentesis are the initial methods for diagnosis of liver trauma and are largely used nowadays. When the patient is hemodynamically stable,CT scan or simuhaneous contrast-enhanced scan are important to decide for conservative ur surgical treatment.Today.treatment of hepatic lesions takes in account mainly two aspects:hemodynamically stability and the mechanism for trauma(blunt or penetrating).Liver injmy score of patienlS is not as important as the hemodynamie status for determining conservative management.Nonoperative management under close continuous observation for the hemodynamically stable patients with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ and some eases of stage Ⅲ blunt hepatic injury has become the stamlard of care. The decision for surgical intervention should be given in time according to the variance of hemodynamically stability and the presence of trauma (blunt or penetrating). Some cases of stage Ⅲ and all cases of stage Ⅳ to Ⅴ hepatic injury shouht preferably undergo surgieal treatment. The effective preventive measures to decrease mortality in patients with severe hepatic trauma include early remedy to henmrhagie shock.effective hemostasis, complete abdominal drainage and prevention of pnstoperative enmplieations.
