1.An optimized 3-step strategy for preventing and treating post-operation relapse and metastasis of malignant tumors with traditional Chinese medicine
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2007;5(1):5-10
Abstract: Relapse and metastasis are the main causes responsible for failure of surgical operation in treating malignant tumors. This article introduces the present development in post-operation treatment of lung cancer, liver cancer and stomach cancer, showing that the synthetic treatment by stages combined with traditional Chinese medicine is the important way to prevent and treat the post-operation relapse and metastasis of tumors, and suggesting the optimized method for treatment.

Objective To evaluate the effect of nursing intervention on the psychological status, complications and satisfaction in patients with cerebral hemorrhage. Methods A total of 184 patients with cerebral hemorrhage in the Third People's Hospital of Panzhihua City from January 2013 to June 2015 were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 92 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine internal medicine nursing, and the observation group received nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. After 1 month, the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) were used to evaluate the psychological status of the two groups before and after nursing. The incidence of complications and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. The quality of life of the two groups were assessed by the life activity ability rating (FIM) scale and the quality of life index (QLI).Results Compared with the control group, the SAS and SDS score of the observation group after the intervention were significantly improved (P<0.05).The incidence of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and satisfaction was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).The FIM and QLI of the observation group were significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention can significantly improve the psychological status and quality of life, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve the satisfaction of patients with cerebral hemorrhage. It is worth popularizing widely.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
Objective The aim of this study was to elucidate the effects of homocysteine (Hcy) on the expression and secretion of tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) in endothelial cells (Ecs). Methods Cultured human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) (ECV-304 strain) were incubated with homocysteine (Hcy) in different concentrations of 0, 25, 50, 100?mol/L, and 1,5,10mmol/L, respectively, for 24 hours. Cell viability was then determined by MTT assay, and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) released into the culture medium was measured to assess cell damage. Antigen levels of the free form of TFPI after Hcy exposure were measured in culture media with ELISA (Diagnostica Stago, France). Furthermore, the total content of TFPI was assessed with cellular ELISA. Results Hcy in concentrations of 0~1mmol/L did not produce cell toxicity as shown by cell viability and LDH determination in culture media after 24 hours of incubation. When the endothelial cells were exposed to concentrations up to 5mmol/L, cell viability decreased, and a higher concentration of Hcy (10mmol/L) elicited a significant cytotoxic effect, as shown by a decreased cell viability and a higher amount of LDH in culture supernatants compared with the control cells. All the TFPI absorbance values in Hcy-treated cells and the free TFPI levels in culture supernatants were significantly increased, especially in the 50?mol/L group. Conclusion A lower concentration of Hcy did not show signs of cell toxicity but it could promote the expression and secretion of TFPI. The results can help us partly explain why the TFPI level was increased in some patients with hyperhomocysteinemia. They also suggested that Hcy could play an important role in the modulation of coagulation processes in blood circulation.

Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(9):677-679
Foxp3 is a novel member of forkhead and winged-helix transcription factor family.Foxp3 is specifically expressed in CD4+ CD25 + regulatory T cells, and Foxp3 is a critical regulator of CD4+ CD25 + regulatory T cell development and function maintain. With the development of molecular biology techniques, the understanding of Foxp3's structure and function is increasingly clear.Foxp3 plays an important role in the lung cancer's development, clinical treatment and prognosis. Thus to clarify the regulatory mechanism of Foxp3 expression is beneficial for the explanation of lung cancer's immunal environment and the establishment of a better immunal therapeutic regimen,so as to provide profound significance for lung cancer's prevention and treatment.

AIM,To verify whether p73;a homologue of p53,which supposed]y acts as a tumor suppressor gene in neuroblastoma, might also be a tumor suppressor in non-small cell lung cancer.METHODS:The allelic expres-sion of p73 in the six non-small cell lung cancer cell lines was studied by Sty I polymorphism analysis. The P73 gene ex.pressions in these six cell lines were examined by reverse transcription-PCR,the expressions of P73 protein in the five cell lines inducing tumor8 were also determined by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:Homozygous allelic expression was dem.onstrated in all six cell lines and the GC/GC genotype Was the predominant type.Complete loss of the p73 expression both at mRNA and the protein level was revealed.CONCLUSION:Taken together, our data suggest that p73 might play a role as a tumor suppressor gene in human non-small cell lung cancer cell lines.

Objective To investigate the outcome of induction of tumor cell apoptosis with low dosage of 131 I labelled anti carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) monoclonal antibody C50( 131 I C50) and the therapeutic efficacy of combining radioimmunotherapy(RAIT) with chemotherapy in colorectal cancer xenografts. Methods Human colorectal cancer xenografts with positive CEA expression were established in nude mice with LoVo cell line. 5 fluorouracil(5 FU), 75 ?Ci 131 I C50, and 5 FU, combined with 131 I C50 were given to nude mice through tail vein to treat xenografts on 9th day after implantation of tumor cells. Fifteen days after implantation, each mouse was sacrificed and tumor tissues were stained with HE and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated X DUTP nick end labeling technique(TUNEL technique). Apoptosis index(AI) of xenograft cells in each mouse was calculated. Results Under light microscope, no obvious cytolysis or necrosis of tumor cells was seen in all four groups. Apoptosis indexes in blank control group, chemotherapy group, radioimmunothera py(RAIT) group, and RAIT+chemotherapy group were (0.29?0.08)%, (18.68? 2.69 )%,(40.88 ?4.54 )% and (62.33?8.00)%, respectively. There were significant difference of apoptosis indexes between any groups( P

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(8):578-579
The clinical data of 3 cases of Ramsay-Hunt syndrome concurrent with ipsilateral vocal cord paralysis were retrospectively analyzed, and the relevant literatures were also reviewed. Ramsay-Hunt syndrome is a kind of disease characterized by heavy ear pain, herpes zoster oticus and inner ear neurologic symptoms, which can also affect the vocal cords and give rise to vocal cords paralysis. Ramsay-Hunt syndrome can cause multiple in flammation of cranial nerves. The viral infection can also involve the 3rd and 10th cranial nerves. It mainly damage the facial nerve, followed by the involvement of vestibulocochlear nerve. The vagus nerve damage is rare, so the relevant clinical reports are less. It is important to take the objective data as well as subjective symptoms of the patients into consideration to make a definite diagnosis, so that we can treat it as soon as possible to achieve better curative effect.
