Objective To explore the feasibility of the construction and formation of cartilage with immortalized chondrocytes by tissue engineering technology in vitro . Methods Human telomerase reverse transcriptase(hTERT) gene was introduced into rabbit mandibular condylar chondrocytes by eukaryotic vector. After screening with G418, the positive clones were amplified for culture. Normal or immortalized chondrocyte loaded cytoskeleton ? tricalcium phosphate (? TCP) complexes were incubated in vitro for 1~2 d and then implanted into subcutaneous tissue of nude mouse. The complexes of immortalized chondrocyte ? TCP and chondrocyte ? TCP or ? TCP alone were established as the experimental group and control groups respectively. The specimens were harvested within 3 and 6 months after surgical procedure for histological and immunohistochemical observation. Results In experimental groups and control group 1, the complexes packed with cartilage like tissue were found, but there was only a little fiber like tissue formed in control group 2. Immunohistochemistry revealed strong positive staining with safranine O, toluidine blue and collagen type II and obvious formation of cartilage. There was significant difference between the experimental group and the control groups( P

Objective To analyze impact of extreme low temperature and rainy weather on epidemic of infectious diseases in Nanning City and to provide a scientific basis of preventing and controlling infectious diseases caused by extreme weather events . Methods The data about incidences of respiratory tract infectious diseases ,enteric infectious diseases ,vector-borne infectious disea-ses ,natural foci of diseases from December 2007 to March 2008 and from December 2011 to April 2012 were analyzed by χ2 test . Results The incidence of respiratory tract infectious diseases were influenced greatest by extreme low temperature and rainy weather than other infectious diseases .The incidence of infectious diseases showed hysteresis effect of climate .Incidences of respira-tory tract infectious diseases ,enteric infectious diseases ,vector-borne infectious diseases ,natural foci of diseases during extreme low temperature and rainy weather were significantly higher than that during the same period of other years .And incidences of these were highest during the first 3 months of 2012 .Conclusion Extreme low temperature and rainy weather in Nanning City have im-pact on the incidence of infectious diseases ,which increased the incidence of infectious diseases at different degree .Ventilation and exposure clothes and quilts in the sun are not feasible during low temperature and rainy weather ,therefore health habits should be maximum emphasized when encountering extreme climate events .

Objective To explore the application value of Mammotome biopsy system in diagnosis and treatment of breast lesions. Methods Summed up the experience of 318 breast lesions in 192 patients who were treated with mammotome. Results 316 lesions were re-sected safely and completely. Skin hematoma was found in 17 patients and ecchymosis was found in 8 patients after operation. All patients had no recurrence and residual. Conclusion The Mammotome biopsy system has many advantages for the diagnosis and treatment of breast lesions, including accurate localization, minimal invasion, safety and good cosmetology.
