1.Cytomegalovirus infection in systemic lupus erythematosus: an analysis of 121 cases
Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2011;15(4):249-251
Objective To investigate the clinical manifestations of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods Data of the consecutive cases of SLE complicated with active CMV infection including clinical manifestations, SLEDAI score, dosage of corticosteroid and immunosuppressants used for treatment, radiological and laboratory examinations were collected and analyzed. Results Among 2221 consecutive patients of SLE, 5.4%(121 cases) were diagnosed to be complicated with active CMV infection. Fever was the most common symptom, followed by serious liver function damage, respiratory symptoms, hematological abnormalities, myocarditis, and encephalopathy, accounted for 81%(98cases), 6.6%(8 cases), 4.1%(5 cases), 3.3%(4 cases), 0.8%(1 case), and 0.8%(1 case)respectively; in addition, 22 (18.2%) cases had no symptom. SLEDAI was higher than 15 in 47.1% cases, and 10-14 in 28.1% cases. 81% of patients were treated with corticosteroid, and 55.4% were treated with immunosuppressants. Ganciclovir was given once the diagnosis of active CMV infection was established. In most of the patients, active CMV infection had been controlled within 14-28 days, except 4 died and 6 gave up the therapy. Conclusion SLE with active CMV infection is common, especially in patients who are treated with corticosteroid and/or immunosuppressants. Clinical manifestations of SLE complicated with active CMV infection are generally nonspecific. In patients with unexplained fever,or liver damage,or lung disease,or active SLE patients who have no symptom but are refractory to the treatment, CMV infection should be suspected and the relevant laboratory tests should be ordered for early diagnosis and treatment.
2.Pulmonary Hypertension Complication Pregnancy : Analysis of 10 Cases
Journal of Practical Obstetrics and Gynecology 2010;26(4):268-271
Objective:To analysis the clinical characteristics of pulmonary hypertension (PH) complicating pregnancy, then to explore the delivery time and the monitodng as well as the treatment during perinatal peri-od.Methods:The data of 10 cases with PH treated in our hospital from June 2005 to January 2009 were retro-spectively analyzed.Reaults:1 case was primary pulmonary hypertension(PPH) ; 9 cases were secondary PH (SPH), in which 4 cases were rheumatic heart disease and 5 cases were congenital heart diseases.3 cases were slight PH,6 cases were moderate PH, and 1 were severe group.4 cases NYHA class were Ⅰ~Ⅱ and 6 cases NYHA class were Ⅲ~Ⅳ.4 cases were term delivery,5 cases were premature delivery, and 1 got artifi-cial abortion.8 cases were cesarean section, and 1 was vaginal delivery.2 cases were very low birth weight infants, 1 infant was death and 1 mother was death. Conclusions:The patient of PPH should avoid concei-ving.For SPH patients whether to conceive depends on cardiac function, the level of pulmonary arterial pres-sure and should better get pregnancy after surgery or medication. It should terminate pregnancy in the first tri-mester for moderate or severe patients.Cesarean section is more suitable for those in the second or third tri-mester.The prognosis of the mother and neonate depends on several factors.
3.The expression of CXCR7 in osteosarcoma tissues and cells
Journal of Chinese Physician 2010;12(8):1048-1051
Objective To study the differences of CXCR7 expression between in osteosarcoma tissues and normal peri-osteosarcoma tissues, and observe the effect on cell proliferation and inflammatory cytokine PGE2 secretion in MG63 cells when it had been transfected with pEGFP-Adv-CXCR7 vector. Methods CXCR7 expression in osteosarcoma tissues, cells and normal peri-osteosarcoma tissues detected by RT-qPCR. The CXCR7 mRNA expression, cell proliferation and PGE2 secretion of MG63 cells after transfected with pEGFP-Adv-CXCR7 expression vector were evaluated by RT-qPCR, MTT and ELISA, respectively. Results The expression rate and quality of CXCR7 mRNA in osteosarcoma tissue were 93.80% and (2. 221 ±0. 112), which significantly higher than those of normal peri-osteosarcoma tissues 45.71% and (0. 3448 ±0.098). Low expression of CXCR7 in MG63 cells was also observed. The proliferation and PGE2 secretion of MG63 cells were significantly increased at the time point of 48, 72 and 96h after pEGFPAdv-CXCR7 expression vector transfected into MG63 cells ( P < 0. 05). Conclusion The expression of CXCR7 mRNA in osteosarcoma tissues were significantly higher than normal peri-osteosarcoma tissues. CXCR7 high expression may have a negative effect on the progress of osteosarcoma.
4.Molecular mechanisms of angiogenesis after cerebral ischemia
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2010;18(2):146-150
Angiogenesis is an important self-repair and remodeling mechanism after cerebral ischemia. It plays pivotal roles in promoting local blood circulation, protecting neurons and improving neurological function after cerebral ischemia. A variety of molecules and signal transduction pathways involved in the regulation of the process, including angiogenin, growth factors, matrix metalloproteinases, tissue kallikrein and anti-angiogenic proteins. This article reviews the roles of these molecules and signal transduction pathways in angiogenesis after cerebral ischemia.
5.Patent Foramen Ovale and Ischemic Stroke
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2008;16(5):342-346
Despite detailed examinations have been performed, the etiology in about one third of ischemic strokes remain uncertain, which are called cryptogenic ischemic strokes. In the recent 2 decades,it has been found that patent foramen ovale(PFO)is closely associated with these cryptogenic strokes, and a roamber of profound studies have been performed subsequently, and a lot of new conceptions have been put forward.INs article reviews advances in research on the relationship between PFO and iscbemic stroke.influencing factors of PFO leading to ischemic stroke,as well as the diagnosis and treatment of PFO.

9.Study pediatric fundus imaging techniques to improve the diagnosis of retinal diseases in children
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2016;32(3):237-242
Fundus photograph, angiography, optical coherence tomography, ultrasonography and other image technology and visual electrophysiology can provide a wealth of information for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric retinal diseases. However,it put forward higher requirements on pediatric retinal imaging equipment and techniques which will be quite different from adult, because of pediatric retinal disease has its own characteristics, such as disease spectrum, pathogenesis, and pathophysiology. The principles and methods of image results interpretation on adult were not quite ready for children. It is necessary to further study the fundus imaging techniques suitable for children, gradually establish standardized examination procedures and clinical interpretation system,to promote the diagnosis of retinopathy in children.
10.Clinical characteristics of anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis in children and adults
Chinese Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases 2016;42(11):658-663
Objective To compare and analyze differences in clinical characteristics, auxiliary examination and im?munotherapy between children with anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA) receptor encephalitis and adults. Methods Clinical data was retrospectively collected from 34 cases anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis. All people were divided into the child group and the adult according to the age of onset and the inpatient department. Score of Modified Rankin Scale (mRS) before and after treatment and follow-up period (6 months~24 months) were compared to estimate the neurologi?cal outcomes. Results Data from 34 patients including 19 children and 15 adults was analyzed. Hypoventilation, epilep?sy and status epilepticus were more common in the adult group than in the child. The positive rate of EEG delta brush was higher in child group than in adult group. Two women were complicated by suspicious ovarian teratoma. Intravenous immune globulin was used commonly in the child group, while the plasma exchange or immunosuppressant used common?ly in the adult group. Time of onset to hospital admission and final diagnosis were shorter in the child group than in the adult. Patients requiring ICU were fewer in the child group than in the adult. The scores of mRS were significantly lower in the child group than in the adult at hospital discharge (P<0.05). Conclusion Clinical characteristics is more compli?cated in adults with anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis compared with children including a worse disease severity and a poorer short-term outcome.
