1.Effects of Early Activities on Duration and Expenditure of Hospitalization and Activities of Daily Living of Patients with Myocardial Infarction
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(6):542-543
ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of early activities after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) on duration and expenditure of hospitalization and activities of daily living (ADL) of patients.Methods68 AMI inpatients without complications were divided into the early activity group (33 cases) and control group (35 cases). Patients of the early activity group started early activity training by the bed from the 2nd day after admission, and those of the control group from the 10th day. One week before discharge, ADL of all patients were assessed with Barthel index (BI), and duration and expenditure of hospitalization of two groups were compared.ResultsThe average duration and expenditure of hospitalization in the early activity group were obviously lower than those in the control group (P<0.05~0.01), but the total scores of ADL and the scores of most items at discharge were markedly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05~0.01).ConclusionEarly activity training by the bed can obviously shorten the duration of hospitalization, reduce the medical cost and improve the ADL of AMI patients.

Objective To summarize the effect of bronchoscopy for sputum suction on aspiration pneumonia in elderly patients. Methods 45 elderly patients with aspiration pneumonia treated with bronchoscopy for early sputum suction on the basis of comprehensive treatment were assigned into group A ,and another 44 elderly patients with the same disease receiving the only comprehensive treatment as the control group (group B). After treatment, the two groups were compared in terms of temperature,WBC,arterial blood partial pressure of oxygen and lung shadow resolution. The key links in the operative manipulation were summarized. Results In group A, the temperature and WBC both resumed to the normal level, the time for increased arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) in group A was significantly shorter than in group B and lung shadow resolution significantly more evident than in group B (P < 0.01). In group A, the sputum suction was completed and there were no cases of death and serious complications. Conclusions Early bronchoscopy for sputum suction in the treatment of aspiration pneumonia in elderly people is effective. Skilled operation and accurate grasping of the key points of the suction process make sure that this technology can be more applicable in clinical practice.
3.Effect of Acupuncture Combined with TAX on the Expression of Apoptosis Related Factor p53 and bcl-2 of Mice Lewis Lung Cancer Cells
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(05):-
Objective We adopt acupuncture associating with TAX,to investigate the anti-cancer effect and mechanism. Methods 48 mice with inoculated Lewis Lung Carcinoma were divided randomly into 4 groups:model group, acupuncture group, medicine group, combination of acupuncture and medicine group.Growth state of the mice and change curve of tumour.Protein expression of apoptosis related factor p53 and Bc1-2 in tumour were observed by Western Blotting method. Results Acupuncture,TAX and the combination of acupuncture and TAX separately had anti-tumor effect, with the combination was the best and improve growth state of the mice.p53 and bc1-2 can be detected in four groups.Compared with model group, the expression of other groups was lower.Compared with acupuncture group and medicine group, the exprission of combination group of acupuncture and TAX was lower.Conclution Combination of acupuncture and TAX can prohibit p53 Mutant and decrease Bcl-2,which have co-operating effect.

ObjectiveTo investigate the age distribution of serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) and explore its correlation with fasting blood glucose(FBG)and lipid in the male elderly.MethodsThe levels of FBG,triglyceride (TG),low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C),high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) and PSA were reviewed in 2903 elderly men (aged ≥ 60 years) in our hospital. The subjects were classified into 6 groups by age,and PSA levels were compared among groups. The correlations of FBG,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C with PSA were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Results The level of PSA had the trend to increase with age.Positive association of TG,LDL with serum PSA level, but negative correlation between HDL and serum PSA level were noted in the group aged 60-64 years (r=0.10,0.15,0.12,P<0.05).In the group aged 66-69 years, there was negative relationship between FBG and serum PSA(r= 0.10,P<0.05).No relationship could be found in other groups (P>0.05).ConclusionsPSA level may increase with age,but without relation with FBG,TG,LDL-C and HDL-C.

Objective To detect the expression of translationally controlled tumor protein (TCTP) in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) tissue and cell lines A431 and SCL-1,and to evaluate the effect of TCTP on apoptosis in and proliferation of SCC cells. Methods An immunohistochemical method was used to measure the expression of TCTP in tissue specimens from 65 patients with SCC.Western blot was performed to detect the expression of TCTP in A431 and SCL-1 cells.Three small interference RNAs (siRNAs) targeting the TPT1 gene were designed, synthesized, and transfected into A431 cells. Then, reverse transcription (RT)-PCR and Western blot were conducted to measure the expression of TPT1 mRNA and TCTP,respectively, methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay and flow cytometry were carried out to detect cell proliferation and apoptosis, respectively. Results TCTP was overexpressed in SCC tissue specimens, and the expression level was positively correlated with the histologic grading of SCC (P < 0.05).Western blot showed that TCTP was expressed in both A431 and SCL-1 cells, and the expression was relatively high in A431 cells. The transfection efficiency of siRNAs varied from 90% to 95%.A decrease in the expression of TPT1 mRNA and TCTP was induced by the siRNAs in A375 cells (all P < 0.05).Conclusion The downregulation of TCTP expression may increase the apoptosis in and suppress the proliferation of A431 cells.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2015;36(5):112-115
The development overview of the US armed forces' medical electronic health record system was described, including its emergence background, development process, block deployment, battlefield application, recent development and future trends, etc. Meantime, the related systems of the PLA were explained. Then, some suggestions on the development of the PLA health informatization were put forward, including emphasis on top-level design and overall planning, stepwise implementation and sequential advance, combined utilization during war and peacetime and integrated development, civil-military integration and technology outsourcing, etc.
