ObjectiveTo study the effect of low-intensity millimeter wave(MMW)irradiation on the immune adhesion function of erythrocytes in mice with tumor.Methods60 healthy male mice were randomized into two groups:irradiation group(n=30) and control group(n=30).All mice were injected into abdominal cavity with A's abdominal juice cancer-cell(1×106/ml,0.2ml).MMW(36GHz,0.73-1.46mw/cm2)was used to irradiate the back of mice in irradiation group, once a day for 8 days.Control group received false irradiation using the same method. At 0d,3d,6d after irradiation, the erythrocytes were extracted from vein blood in the mice, and the RBC-C3b receptor rosettes rate(RCR),tumour-RBC rosette rate(TRR),RBC-SOD and RBC-LPO were determined.ResultsAt 3d after radiation, the RBC-C3b and TRR of irradiation group were higher than that of control group (P<0.01) and RBC-LPO was lower (P<0.05),while there was no significant difference on activity of RBC-SOD(P>0.05). there were no significant difference on all index between two groups at 0d and 6d(P>0.05).ConclusionsLow-intensity millimeter wave irradiation can improve the immune adhesion function of erythrocytes in mice with tumor.

The plasma visfatin,endothelium-dependent artery dilation and intima-media thickness of common carotid arteries were measured in first-degree relatives of type 2 diabetes, obese patients and control subjects.Regional body fat were detected by MRI.The result suggested that plasma visfatin levels were significantly higher in obese subjects than those in non-obese subjects, and hypervisfatinemia is independently associated with fasting blood glucose.

To explore CD34(+) antigen expression in new diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and analyze the prognosis for CD34(+) AML patients, the expression of antigen CD34 in 238 AML patients was detected by indirect immunofluorescence assay. The results showed that CD34 in 92 out of the 238 patients (38.7%) were positive, there was relationship between the CD34(+) expression and FAB subtypes (M(0), M(1)), and no CD34(+) expression was observed in M(3) subtypes. The complete remission rate of CD34(+) AML patients was 32%, which was lower than that of CD34(-) AML (61%). The lymphoid-associated antigen (CD7) was significantly increased in CD34(+) AML patients, compared with CD34(-) patients (P < 0.05). It is concluded that CD34(+) AML patients show poor prognosis and lower CR rate. The detection of CD34 expression is of some value in predicting prognosis in AML.

Objective:To explore the relationship between adiponectin and dyslipidemia, lipoprotein lipase (LPL) in aged Wistar rats.Methods.Wistar rats were divided into the aged group (20 months old),the middle-aged group (7 months old) and the young group (3 months old) according to the age.Serum fasting blood glucose (FBG),blood lipid, and adiponectin were measured in each group. The expression levels of adiponectin mRNA and LPL mRNA in the subcutaneous adipose tissue and LPL mRNA in the liver were detected by real-time PCR.Results:With the increase of age,the expression levels of serum adiponectin and fat adiponectin mRNA,LPL mRNA and liver LPL mRNA gradually decreased;the above indexes in the aged group were significantly lower than those in the young group (P<0.05).The levels of total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C),and FBG of the aged group were higher than those of the young group (P<0.05),and the level of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) of the aged group was lower than that of the young group (P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum adiponectin was positively correlated with fat LPL mRNA,liver LPL mRNA,and HDL-C (P<0.05),and negatively correlated with body weight,age,TC,LDL-C,VLDL-C,and TG (P<0.05).Fat adiponectin mRNA was positively correlated with fat LPL mRNA,liver LPL mRNA,serum adiponectin, and HDL-C (P<0.05),and negatively correlated with body weight,age,TC,LDL-C,and VLDL-C (P<0.05).Fat LPL mRNA was positively correlated with fat adiponectin mRNA,liver LPL mRNA,serum adiponectin and HDL-C (P<0.05),and negatively correlated with body weight,age,TC,LDL-C,VLDL-C,and TG (P<0.05).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that there was an independent negative correlation between serum adiponectin and VLDL-C (P< 0.05);there was an independent negative correlation between fat adiponectin mRNA,TC and age (P<0.05);there was an independent negative correlation between fat LPL mRNA and age (P<0.05).Conclusions:The level of adiponectin in subcutaneous fat and serum decreased in aged rats, and the decrease of adiponectin may be related to dyslipidemia in aged rats.It may affect the blood lipid metabolism by regulating the expression of LPL mRNA.

As a natural plant source of artemisinin,a first-line drug against malaria,Artemisia annua directly affects the extraction process of artemisinin and the source of artemisinin. At present, traditional breeding methods combined with tissue culture are often used to breed high-yield artemisinin-containing new varieties of A. annua. However, the breeding method has the disadvantages of low efficiency and continuous selection. In this study, heavy ion beam irradiation technology was used to observe the specific germplasm resources of A. annua, and the morphological characteristics, agronomic traits and artemisinin content were used as indicators to observe the selection materials and materials. The cultivated new varieties were compared with trials and regional trials. In addition, the new variety of A. annua was identified by SRAP molecular marker technology. The results showed that the new variety of A. annua, " Kehao No.1",had an average yield of 235. 0 kg of dry leaf per mu,which was more than 20% higher than that of the control. Especially, the average artemisinin content was 2. 0%,which was 45% higher than that of the control, and the " Kehao No.1" has high anti-white powder disease,high-yield and high-quality new varieties. Therefore, mutagenic breeding of heavy ion beam irradiation can significantly improve the yield and artemisinin content of the " Kehao No. 1" and it has a good promotion value.
