Methods 200 cases of patients with hepatitis C was measured by ELISA, the gold standard method for detection of hepatitis C virus antibody, recording the test results, the data input SPSS software to give the corresponding analysis and conclusions. Results 200 cases of patients with hepatitis C were successfully completed the gold standard method and ELISA method for detection of hepatitis C virus antibody, the analysis showed that positive rate of ELISA method for detection of hepatitis C virus antibody was significantly higher than that of the gold standard method, the positive rate of ELISA was 82.50%, the positive rate of the gold standard method for was 50.00%, results suggested that HCV detection rate of ELISA method is significantly better (P<0.05). Conclusion The method of ELISA can be used for the detection of hepatitis C antibody, which has positive significance in improving the diagnostic accuracy of hepatitis C, and is beneficial to protect the efficacy and quality of life of patients.

Objective To explore the effects of vaseline gauze combined with brain cotton piece on eye protection during otological surgery . Methods From January to March in 2015 , 80 patients with otological surgery were set as the experiment group , where vaseline gauze and brain cotton piece were used to protect eyes . From October 2014 to December 2014 , another 80 patients with otological surgery were set as the control group , where aureomycin eye ointment was used for eye protection . The two groups were compared in terms of complications incidence . Result The complication incidence of the experiment group was significantly lower than that of control group ( P < 0 . 01 ) . Conclusion Vaseline gauze and brain cotton piece can effectively protect the eyes for patients undergoing otological surgery , lower the occurrence rate of fewer complications and improve patients′comfort .

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and utility of three different assays on early diagnosis and monitoring of neonatal congenital cytomegalovirus infection. Methods Ninety-eight neonates whose mother was CMV-IgM positive during pregnancy were examined on the 14th days after birth for CMV antigen in blood and PCR-CMV-DNA in the saliva. Three different methods were applied including CMV antigenemia assay, PCR for CMV-DNA and ELISA for serum CMV-IgM. Neonates were followed up for six months. Results (1) Forty-eight of the 98 neonates were diagnosed as congenital CMV infection including 7 symptomatic infection and 41 asymptomatic. None of the 98 subjects was CMV-IgM positive. Among the 7 symptomatic cases, the positive rates of CMV antigen and PCR-CMV-DNA were 100%(7), 71.4%(5), and 70.7%(29/41), 46.3%(19/41) in the asymptomatic group, respectively. The sensitivity of CMV antigenemia assay and PCR was 75.0% and 54.2%, respectively. The CMV antigenemia index of the symptomatic cases was significantly higher than that of asymptomatic ones [(16-52)/50 000 vs (3-31)/50 000 white blood cells, P

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of arthroscopically assisted percutaneous screw fixation for treating patella fractures. Methods A total of 14 cases of patella fractures were treated by percutaneous reduction and internal fixation with screws under arthroscope from November 2001 to June 2004 in this hospital. The fracture was reduced by closed manipulation or percutaneous leverage force using the Kirschner wire. Then the patella was temporarily fixed by using a large-sized towel clamp or Kirschner wires.Under the guidance of knee arthroscopy or C-arm fluoroscopy,a micro-incision was made at the site of screw placement, the pilot holes were drilled at a proper depth, and the thread was configured. Two titanium screws or absorbable screws were inserted parallelly. Results Follow-up checkups for 6~18 months(mean,10 months) in 13 cases showed a satisfactory recovery of knee functions.According to the Xu Shaoding's standard, excellent effects were obtained in 11 cases(84.6%) and good effects,2 cases(15.4%).Conclusions Treatment of patellar fractures by percutaneous screw fixation under arthroscope offers advantages of minimal invasion, accurate reduction, reliable fixation, and excellent recovery of joint functions.

Objective To invstigate the diagnostic value of the detection of telomerase activity in the specimen obtained from CT guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy of lung nodules. Methods The techniques of TRAP silver staining were performed to detect telomerase activity in 43 cases. Results 43 mass cases were studied includirg 32 proved to be primary lung cancer, and 11 benign lesions cytologically and clinically. Telomerase activity was detected as 28(87.5%) of 32 lung carcinomas, whereas in benign lung lesions was 1(9.1%) in 11 cases. Conclusions Detection of telomerase activity in the specimen of lung nodules by CT guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy may be an effective method in the diagnosis of lung cancer and also as tumor marker.

[Objective] To observe the effects of modified Zhengrong Decoction combined with acupuncture for acquired paralytic strabismus (APS). [ Methods ] Forty - one cases of APS were treated with modified Zhengrong Decoction combined with acupuncture of Jingming (BL1) point mainly. [Results] Four (9.8%) cases were cured after one treatment course (10 days), 23 (56.1%) cured in 2 ~ 3 treatment courses and after 4 ~ 6 treatment courses 12 (29.3%) cured, 1 (2.4%) ineffective, and 1 (2.4%) relapsed, the total effective rate being 95.2% . [Conclusion] Modified Zhengrong Decoction combined with acupuncture is effective and safe for APS.

Returning astronauts had experienced decreased immune function and increased vulnerability to infection during spaceflights. In immune system, cell adhesion molecules(CAMs) play an important role in regulating immune response in normal physiological conditions.Studying changes of CAMs under microgravity could not only understand the effects of microgravity and its molecular mechanism on immune function, but also help to study the relative mechanism about cell sensation of microgravity. In this review,we will introduce some downstream signal pathways, gene expression and the effects on cell functions under microgravity. All of them are regulated by cell adhesion molecules related with the immune system.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(10):-
Gravity is the most fundamental biomechanical stimulus for posture change.Pressure of blood flow is one of primary indicators to evaluate cardiovascular performance.Up to now, the underlying mechanism of effects of posture change on cardiovascular system is still unclear.A 3D FSI mathematical model with posture change was presented.By applying the body force terms to the fluid equation and the vessel wall equation, the model could be used to study posture change and the effects of gravity on the pressure of blood flow quantitively.Under different inlet-outlet pressure difference(IODP) and different postures such as horizontal, upright and upside-down one, the effects of gravity were simulated. In horizontal position, the pressure distributions of blood flow transformed from 2D(two-dimensional) axis-symmetry without gravity to 3D asymmetry with gravity under small IODP.With IODP increasing, gravity had less effects on pressure distribution and extreme value. As IODP reached 10 665.6 Pa(80 mmHg) and 2 666.4 Pa(20 mmHg) respectively, this effect was observed to be constant.Similar results were obtained from 3D fluid-only model. In either upright or upside-down position, 2D axis-symmetric pressure distribution was observed with and without gravity, yet the position, in which extreme pressure appeared, was different in upright position from that in upside-down one. Finally, the effect intensity of gravity in upright or upside-down position was more than twice as much as that in horizontal one.The results indicate that introducing body force term into the fluid and solid equations to present a novel model, which was based on hemodynamics, will provide a new way to study posture change.Effects of gravity on pressure distribution and extreme value changed with different postures and IODP.If IODP is small, ignoring effect of gravity and postures so as to simplify the hemodynamics model to 2D axis-symmetric one, the conclusion should be drawn with caution.
