1.Evaluation of residency training program from general practitioners who completed the training in Zhongshan Hospital
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2012;(10):743-747
Objective To evaluate the standardized general practice training program. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among general practitioners who completed the standardized residency training program in Zhongshan Hospital,Fudan University from January 2000 to June 2011.Results During this period 183 residents received general practice training,15 were excluded the survey due to loss of follow-up or other reasons,168 questionnaires were distributed and 165 valid questionnaires were returned with a recovery rate of 98%.The main findings:2/3 of surveyed GPs were sent by their affiliated institutions; 85% evaluated the program as highly or very highly; 56% thought that their expectations were completely or mostly fulfilled; 68% thought that the program enhanced their clinical capability and theoretical levels; over half thought that the clinical rotation and strict teaching management were the advantages of the program; 84% thought that they improved their skills, knowledge and ideas; 74% thought that the training program was very good or fairly good; 48% thought that the preceptors in communities were comparatively weak and some theoretical lessons were not relevant to the context of the community. The surveyed GPs required improving of practice components, shortening the total length of training and increasing the teaching contents on scientific research. Conclusion The surveyed general practitioners give credit to the GP residency training in Zhongshan Hospital and put forward some proposals for further improvement.
2.Experience in being the first pilot unit for the second-cycle hospital evaluation and suggestions
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(01):-
The hospital the authom work with, the first one to undergo the second-cycle nation-wide hospital evaluation, was assessed by a third party and the hospital evaluation experts. The two cycles of hospital evaluation were entirely different in historical background, priorities and procedures. The evaluation standards for the second cycle, which were on a par with internafional ones, set the right track of development for medical institutions, emphasizing quality, security, service and performance and highlighting the delivery of quality patient care. The gains from the second-cycle hospital evaluation can be summarized as follows: more highly emphasized continuous improvement of service quality, enhanced awareness of people-oriented management, reinforced medical quality and medical security control, heightened hospital infection control, greater capability of responding to emergencies, and strengthened for-malation of hospital rules and regulations. In the end five suggestions are put forward with regard to the second-cycle hospital evaluation.
3.Application of local ablative therapies for hepatocellular carcinoma
Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2016;32(1):56-61
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)is a common malignant tumor in the world, and surgical resection and liver transplantation are two radical treatment modalities, but only 10%-20%of all patients can receive such treatments. In recent years, local therapies including radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, cryoablation, and the irreversible electroporation ablation which appeared recently have gradu-ally become the alternative therapies for the patients who are unable to undergo surgery. In addition to local tumor growth control and im-provement in survival outcomes, the ablation technology also helps to downgrade tumor for secondary resection. This article focuses on the re-search progress in radiofrequency ablation alone and in combination with other therapies in the treatment of HCC,compares radiofrequency ablation with other local ablative therapies, and briefly introduces the application of intelligent navigation technology in adjuvant ablation. With the development of medical imaging and progress in related fields, the ablation technology will be widely applied in clinical practice in the future.
4.Study of root canal morphology of mandibular incisors by micro-computed tomography in vitro
Journal of Practical Stomatology 2014;(4):530-534
Objective:To investigate the anatomy of mandibular incisors using microcomputed tomography(Micro-CT).Methods:62 extracted mandibular incisors were selected from dental clinic and observed by Micro-CT.The anatomy of the teeth was analyzed. Results:83.9% of mandibular incisors had a single canal,72.6% had no accessory canal. The location of the apical foramen varied considerably. The mean distance from the root apex to the major lateral apical foramen was (0.613 ±0.298)mm.Of the canals the bucco-lingual diameter were greater than the mesio-distal diameters and the root bucco-lingual canal tapers were greater than the me-sio-distal.Conclusion:The morphology data of mandibular incisors were obtained using Micro-CT.
5.Dynamic observation of immune status of nude mice bearing human CEN-2 cell line
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(06):-
This experiment was made on 4-6 week-old nude mice(NM). The CNE-2 cells were inoculated subcutaneously into each side of the neckback for the original generation. Implanted fresh transplanted NPC tissue to NM's neck-back with cannula for next passage. We passed up to 8 generations and the transplantability was 100%. We observed dynamicrly the changes of NM's immune status after they have bearing the NPC as following: (1) The net weight was significantly reduced. (2) Splenic index(S. I.) and tumor weight(T. W.) increased. S. I. was highly related to T. W. (r=0.8395). (3) Splenic NK activity slightly increased in 5 days, began to decrease in 10 days and significantly decreased in 15 or more days. NK activity was negative related to T. W. and S. I. markedly (r=-0.7132, r=-0.8237). (4) Splenic NK cells had excellent responsiveness to human IFN in vitro in 5 days and still had some in 10 days, but it had not any after 15 days. (5) Natural proliferative ratio of tumor bearing NM's splenic cells was higher than that of control group, but the responsiveness to ConA was much lower. (6) Ai Ke Xing suppressed the growth of transplanted NPC by means of decreasing sera MDA enhancing host's splenic NK activity and increasing mononuclear infiltration of the transplanted NPC tissue. So we concluded that in NM whose T cells were deficient splenic NK cells were important immunocompetent cells for resisting the growth of transplanted NPC.
6.Effects of low energy intravenous He-Ne laser irradiation of blood on lymphocytes in patients with cerebral infarction
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(04):-
Objective To explore the effects of low energy intravenous He-Ne laser irradiation of blood (ILIB) on cell proliferation, apoptosis and genotoxicity of lymphocytes in patients with cerebral infarction (CI). Methods The lymphocytes in peripheral blood in patients with CI were sampled before and after treatment and cultured, and then, some parameters such as the mitosis index (MI), cell cyclical kinetics index (CCKI), sister chromatid exchanges frequencies (SCEF) and apoptosis were analyzed in order to explore the effects of ILIB on lymphocytes. Results The proliferative activities of lymphocytes were significantly increased by ILIB (P0.05). After ILIB, the rate of apoptosis in patients with CI was significantly increased when compared with that before treatment and that of the control group, as revealed by flow cytometry (FCM) (P
7.Study Progress of Haparanase in Kidney Diseases

8.The diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT MIP-MPR image in the lymph node metastasis of colonic carcinoma
Journal of Practical Radiology 2014;(12):2004-2006
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT MIP-MPR image in regional lymph node metastasis of colonic carcinoma. Methods CT findings of 33 cases with pathological confirmed colonic carcinoma were analyzed retrospectively . All patients were underwent three-phase 256-slice CT dynamic enhancement scanning. All data were processed in workstation,to obtain routine MPR and MIP-MPR image. The regional lymph nodes of colon cancer were counted, and divided into 3 groups accord-ing to the short diameter of lymph node:group I (3.0-5.0 mm),group Ⅱ(5.1-10 mm),and group Ⅲ(10.1 mm up).The diag-nostic sensitivity of CT MPR and MIP-MPR image in checking out lymph nodes of different groups was compared by paired test.Re-sults The average value(x ±s )of lymph node number of three groups with routine MPR and MIP-MPR image were:group I, 3.66±1.99,6.09±2.44 (t=1 1.6,P <0.05);group Ⅱ,3.72±1.79,4.03±1.89 (t=3.73,P <0.05);group Ⅲ,1.21±1.31, 1.27±1.46(t=1.44,P >0.05).There were statistical differences in group I and group Ⅱ.Sensitivity of MIP-MPR image in chec-king out regional small and middle lymph nodes of colonic carcinoma was higher than routine MPR image. Conclusion Multi-slice spiral CT MIP-MPR image is a good way to checking out regional small and middle lymph nodes of colonic carcinoma.
9.Evaluation of the value of anaerobic culture in bacterial contamination forapheresis platelets
Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2017;30(7):826-828
Objective To determine the potential deficiency due to lack of anaerobic culture and evaluate the effect to reduce adverse reaction associated to transfusion-translated bacterial infection. Methods The result of 9 758 units of apheresis platelet concentrates (PCs)detected with automated microbial detection system were reviewed and the medical records of the patients that received the contaminated PCs were followed. Results The confirmed positive rates by aerobic and anaerobic cultures were 0.06% (6/9 758)and 0.16% (16/9 758),respectively.In 10 of 16 yield cases, only the anaerobic culture was positive. The most of the bacterial detected by anaerobic culture only were Propionibacterium acnes.Their mean detection time from inoculation was 96.8±18.21 hours. Conclusion Addition of anaerobic culture would enhance the detection of bacterial contamination in PCs.However, since only slow-growing bacteria were detected, and because their clinical significance was debatable, blood service should select feasible and costeffective projects using only aerobic bottle for bacterial screening, like the majority of licensed blood centers in North America and Hong Kong,China.
