International Journal of Pediatrics 2011;38(1):59-61
In the treatment of parenteral nutrition(PN) of preterm infants, parenteral nutrition associated cholestasis(PNAC) is the most common complication. However, the mechanisms of how this complication happens are unknown. This paper summarizes the research reports about PNAC both at home and aboard in recent years and raises various precautions on premature birth avoiding, reasonable feeding, PN projects optimizing and so on.Ursodeoxycholicacid is the first-line drug in the current treatment for PNAC.
2.Crohn's disease: medical treatment and role of nutritional support
Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2010;18(4):203-208
Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic granulomatous disease with unknown causes, and its incidence shows a rising trend in China. So far there is no way for the complete cure of the disease. Conventional drug therapy has many limitations. The appearance of biological agents brings new treatment options for CD and also initiates a debate over "Step-up" versus "Top-down" strategies. Rational nutrition supplement plays an important role in the comprehensive treatment of CD. This paper reviews the efficacy of conventional drugs, new progress in drug therapy, roles and status of nutritional support, and new treatment strategies for CD.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(3):303-307
Mr. MA Ji-xing has devoted himself into the study of acupuncture medical history for more than 70 years. As a result, a great work of Zhenjiuxue Tongshi (see text), History of Acupuncture-Moxibustion) has been completed. The author has expensively studied for history of acupuncture medicine in time and space. Base on abundant historical materials, deliberate textual research as well as strategically situated academic view, it is considered as a masterpiece of acupuncture on real significance. It is worthwhile to note that the book has a systematic and profound explanation on Bian-stone therapy, unearthed literature relics of acupuncture, the bronze figure or illustration of acupoint as well as special topics of Japan and Korea acupuncture history. Filled several gaps of the field, and explored some significant new paths of study, it laid the groundwork for the profound study and unscramble of traditional acupuncture theory as well as the investigation of the academic history, which is considered to have a profound and persistent influence. The careful sorting and profound digging of many distinguish thoughts and methods of Mr. MA Ji-xing in the study of acupuncture medical history has significant meaning in references and enlightenment of the future research on acupuncture medical history.

5.Theoretical thoughts on corporate governance structure in public hospitals
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2010;26(2):85-89
The paper systematically elaborated the concept of corporate governance structure of public hospitals and theories in relation. In addition, it analyzed the status quo and problems existing in corporate governance structure of public hospitals in China, proposing the basic principles and the council model of corporate governance structure. The authors emphasized the following responsibilities and rights of the council, the president, and the board of supervisors in such a framework: 1) As the hospital's highest decision-maker, the council exercises the rights of ownership, playing a decisive role in hospital management; 2) the president is appointed and dismissed by the council, and authorized to run the hospital; 3) the supervisors are responsible for overseeing the council and senior management. In the end, this paper summarized the external environment required for building corporate governance structure of public hospitals.
6.Role of dendritic cells in inflammatory bowel diseases
Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2010;18(4):240-243
Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) possibly lie in a dysregulated response of the intestinal mucosal immune system towards intestinal microflora under a combined action of genetic and environmental factors.Mucosal dendritic cells are assumed to play key roles in regulating immune responses in the antigen-riched intestinal environment, either by initiating immune responses or by maintaining tolerance. Defects in this regulation are supposed to lead to IBD. This paper reviews the recent research advances in the relationship between IBD and dendritic cells.

8.Impacts on the curative effect of peripheral facial paralysis treated with acupuncture and moxibustion at different times.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2013;33(12):1085-1087
OBJECTIVETo explore the optimal intervention time of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis.
METHODSTwo hundred and four cases of peripheral facial paralysis were collected in clinic for retrospective analysis. According to the time between the disease onset and the intervention of acupuncture and moxibustion, 3 groups (groups A, B and C) were divided. In group A, the treatment was given in 1 to 3 days after onset; in group B, the treatment was given in 4 to 7 days after onset; in group C the treatment was given in 8 to 10 days after onset. The treatment with acupuncture and moxibustion was applied according to the regular stages of disease in the three groups. At the acute stage, the less points and shallow puncture therapy combined with distal acupoints at the limbs were adopted on the affected side. At the stable stage, the more points and shallow puncture therapy were used on the affected side. At the recovery stage, the deep puncture or penetrating punctures was applied on the affected side. The curative effects was given once every day and the treatment of 10 days made one session. The curative effects were analyzed statistically at the end of three sessions of treatments separately.
RESULTSAt the end of the 1st session of treatment, the total effective rate was 58.8% (40/68) in group A, 69.7% (53/76) in group B and 46.6% (28/60) in group C. At the end of the 2nd session of treatment, the total effective rate was 85.3% (58/68), 90.8% (69/76) and 71.6% (43/60) in group A, B and C separately. At the end of 3rd session of treatment, the total effective rates were 89.7% (61/68), 97.4% (74/76) and 83.3% (50/60) in the three groups separately. The differences were significant statistically at the same session of treatment among three groups (all P<0.05), in which, the results in group B was the best, followed by group A and C in sequence.
CONCLUSIONthe best intervention time of acupuncture and moxibustion is in 4 to 7 days after onset of facial paralysis.

9.Functional hemodynamic monitoring should be emphasized in intensive care for burn and trauma patients.
Chinese Journal of Burns 2014;30(4):291-294
Hemodynamic monitoring is a very important measure for critically ill patients with burn and trauma, and it should be carried out throughout the course of treatment. Functional hemodynamic monitoring consists of the assessment of the dynamic interactions of hemodynamic variables in response to a defined volume change. Accordingly, response of fluid volume can be assessed in a quantitative fashion by measuring variation of both arterial pulse pressure and left ventricular stroke volunime during positive pressure breathing, or the change in cardiac output response to passive leg raising maneuver. Functional hemodynamic monitoring, contrary to that of static condition in order to realize dynamic and individual monitoring, is related to response to treatment, and it is a useful complement to static (routine) hemodynamic monitoring. At present, in the care of sepsis, shock, and mechanical ventilation, etc. related to burn injury and trauma, functional hemodynamic monitoring is more and more accepted and applied by medical personnel of ICU in burn and trauma departments. Therefore, further study on functional hemodynamic monitoring should be emphasized and practised.
