Objective To explore the mechanism of immunologic injury in patients with Tourette's syndrome(TS). Methods The serum level of anti-brain antibody ( ABAb) , antinuclear antibody ( ANAb) , soluble IL-6 receptor (sIL-6R) and soluble gpl30(sgp130) in patients with TS were analyzed by commercially available ELISA kits, and the titer of anti-streptolysin O ( ASO) in TS and in control was examined with latex enhanced immunoturbidimetry. Results The level of sIL-6R and sgpl30 was significantly elevated in TS compared with control group [(44. 1 ± 15.8)ng/mL vs (30. 3 ± 9. 0) ng/mL and (69. 0 ±24. 6)ng/mL vs (47. 3 ±14. l)ng/mL,P <0. 01 respectively]. ASO titer(250 U/mL) was found higher in TS than that in control(P <0. 01). The positive rates of anti-brain an-tibody and antinuclear antibody in TS were higher than that in control group (66% vs 4% and 53% vs 25% , P <0. 01 respectively). The level of ABAb negatively correlated with sgpl30 concentration( r = 0. 375, P <0. 05 ). Conclusion IL-6 signal transduction might be involved in Tourette's syndrome to lead the function enhancementand start cascade of feedback inhibition, because of elevated levels of slL-6R, sgp130, ANAb and ABAb in serum.Autoimmune-related injuries may potentially explain the pathogenesis of the disease.

Objective To investigate the effect of different volume of fresh gas on postoperative analepsia period of general anesthesia with sevoflurane in patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Methods 181 ASAⅠ-Ⅱpatients aged 20 - 70 undergoing elective abdominal surgery were divided into group A (112 patients) and group B (69 patients). Both groups received sevoflurane general anesthesia during surgery. At the end of surgery , group A received fresh gas for no more than 2L/min , and group B received the gas for more than 2L/min. The recovery time of spontaneous breathing, eye-opening time (from the end of surger to eye opening), and time of endotracheal extubation (from the end of surgery to endotracheal extubation ) were recorded. Results There were no significant differences in the recovery time of spontaneous breathing ,eye-opening time and time of endotracheal extubation between group A and group B (P > 0.05); Gender and time of intraoperative continuous uses of sevoflurane had effects on the recovery time of spontaneous breathing , which showed statistical significances (P < 0.05). Conclusions Uses of fresh gas for no more than 2L/min or more than 2L/min after surgery have no marked effects on the recovery time. However , gender and time of intraoperative continuous uses of sevoflurane may have effects on the recovery time of spontaneous breathing.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2019;37(10):833-838
Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a disease which the retinal vascular system is not mature at birth, leading to cessation of development and abnormal proliferation of blood vessels, in a relatively high oxygen environment.Adiponectin (APN) is an endogenous bioactive protein secreted by adipocytes. It has functions of regulating Glucose and lipid metabolism, inhibiting atherosclerosis and protecting the cardiovascular system.APN can inhibit angiogenesis which may be involved in the occurrence and development of ROP in recent research.APN may be regulating the serum level of tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) A to prevent the development of ROP.The expression of APN is also affected by fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF-21) and long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 LCPUFAs) at the same time.Understanding the role of APN in ROP can provide new ideas for further study of the pathogenesis and prevention and treatment of ROP.

Objective:
To analyze the trends in mortality of liver cancer in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province from 2014 to 2022, so as to provide the evidence for improving liver cancer control measures.
Methods:
Data of liver cancer mortality in Wenzhou City from 2014 to 2022 were collected from Wenzhou Chronic Disease Monitoring Information System. The crude mortality were estimated and standardized by the national population census data in China in 2010, and the trends in mortality of liver cancer were analyzed with average annual percent change (AAPC).
Results:
There were 22 033 liver cancer deaths from 2014 to 2022, accounting for 18.08% of malignant tumor deaths and ranking the second in malignant tumor deaths. The crude mortality of liver cancer was 30.00/105 and the standardized mortality was 24.32/105, both showing decreasing trends (AAPC=-2.812% and -5.742%, both P<0.05). The standardized mortality of liver cancer were higher in men than in women (36.66/105 vs. 11.21/105, P<0.05), both showing decreasing trends (AAPC=-5.702% and -5.521%, both P<0.05). The crude mortality of liver cancer appeared a tendency towards a rise with age (P<0.05), with the highest crude mortality in the group aged 80 to 84 years, reaching 145.12/105. The crude mortality of liver cancer showed a tendency towards a decline among residents aged under 15 years, 15 to 44 years, 45 to 64 years and 65 years and above (AAPC=-20.311%, -6.569%, -7.408% and -3.177%, all P<0.05).
Conclusions
The mortality of liver cancer showed a tendency towards a decline in Wenzhou City from 2014 to 2022. Men and the elderly were high-risk groups for liver cancer deaths, and prevention should be strengthened based on risk factors.
