[Objective]To investigate the best internal fixation methods of upper segment complicated femoral fractures(USCFF).[Method]Fifty-two cases(54 limbs) with USCFF were treated. In all patients open fracture reduction with use of internal fixation were done.Intramedullary interlocking nails(IIN) were used to treat 32 cases(34 limbs) of adult's USCFF and 130? plate were used to treat 20 cases of children's USCFF.Thirty-six limbs of them were closed fractures, and 18 limbs were opene.Measures of auto-ilium transplant(5 limbs),homolegous allograft bone transplant(10 limbs)were also taken.[Result]Fifty-two patients were followed-up from 9 to 40 months with an average of 16 months.Infection, fracture nonunions, malunion and femoral head necrosis complications were not found. The average period of union of adult and children fractures was respectively 6.8 months and 6.5 months. The long term effect was evaluated according to Ma Yuanzhang's evaluation standard,94.4 percent showed excellent function of joints and limbs.[Conclusion]Appropriate selection of internal fixation according to the age of patients and satisfactory fracture reduction are key points to improve outcome of USCFF.IIN in treating fiacture of adult and 130? plate in treating fracture of children are more ideal selections.
2.Research progress on kidney injury induced by PM2.5 exposure
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2021;33(5):473-475
Abstract
Exposure to atmospheric PM2.5 is closely related to the morbidity and mortality of kidney diseases such as chronic kidney disease, membranous nephropathy and kidney cancer. Acute and chronic PM2.5 exposure lead to the damage of glomerular filtration and kidney tissue of mice. PM2.5 induces cellular oxidative stress, inflammatory response, endoplasmic reticulum stress, renin angiotensin system and bradykinin system activation, so that causes renal blood vessel and tissue damage, decreases glomerular filtration rate and clearance capacity, and mediates the occurrence of kidney damage and diseases. This article reviews the studies into the impact of PM2.5 on kidney and its mechanism form 2016 to 2020, so as to provide the basis for the prevention and treatment of kidney injury induced by PM2.5.

OBJECTIVETo dynamically assess drug targeting of Yougui Pill (YP) and Zuogui Pill (ZP) using infrared thermography.
METHODSIn this self-control experiment, five healthy volunteers were recruited. By using infrared thermography 10 to 11 thermal images of different body locations were taken from each participant after they took warm water, YP, ZP, and their dissembled prescriptions at 30, 70, 100, 130, and 160 min, respectively. The heat values in the lower quadrant abdomen, uterus, Du channel, and Shenque (CV8) were statistically analyzed after scanning for 125 times.
RESULTSAdministration of YP and its disassembled prescriptions enhanced the heat value of the locations of the Du channel and Shenque (CV8), but did no enhance the heat value of the lower quadrant abdomen at 30 min. Administration of ZP and its disassembled prescriptions reduced the heat value in the locations of the lower quadrant abdomen, uterus, Du channel, and Shenque (CV8) at each time point.
CONCLUSIONThe drug targeting of ZP and YP focused on the locations of the Du channel and Shenque (CV8), not on the locations of the lower quadrant abdomen or uterus.

OBJECTIVETo explore the therapeutic effects of internal fixation with Herbert screws for the treatment of Pipkin type I and type II femoral head fractures.
METHODSFrom January 2008 to December 2012, 23 patients with Pipkin type I and type II femoral head fractures were treated with open reduction and internal fixation by Herbert screws through Kocher-Langenbeck approach. Twenty-three patients (aged 18 to 52 years with a mean of 35.5 years, including 18 males and 5 females patients, 8 left hips and 15 right hips) with femoral head fractures and posterior hip dislocation. The fracture was classified according to Pipkin classification based on the radiographic findings, 5 patients had type I and 18 had type II fractures. The duration time from admission to the operation ranged from 6 to 72 h (averaged 32 h). The clinical and radiographic outcomes of the patients were measured using Thompson-Epstein scoring scale. The Harris hip score(HHS) was used to evaluate and compare hip functions at the latest follow-up between affected and healthy sides.
RESULTSAll the patients were followed up, and the duration ranged from 20 to 48 months (averaged 30 months). According to Thompson-Epstein system, 12 patients got an excellent result, 6 good, 4 fair and 1 poor. The average HHS at the finial follow-up was 87.80 ± 8.46 (ranged from 66 to 95), which is similar to that in the healthy side 90.10 ± 6.35 (ranged from 72 to 98) (t = 1.044, P = 0.302). The complications such as deep infection, and deep vein thrombosis were not found. At the 3rd year during follow-up,4 patients had avascular necrosis of femoral head. At the 1st year of follow-up, 1 patient had hip pain after walking, screws loosening and shift after trauma, and serious complications of traumatic arthritis. All the 5 patients were treated with total hip arthroplasties.
CONCLUSIONThe treatment of internal fixation with Herbert screws through the Kocher-Langenbeck approach is effective for Pipkin type I and type II femoral head fracture. The method is reliable and valuable for recommendation. However, such fracture may have avascular necrosis of femoral head and complication of traumatic arthritis, which should be observed carefully in clinic with preparation of the prevention and treatment measures.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(3):473-476
BACKGROUND: The contact lenses were easily contaminated by adsorbing components from the tear film, particularly protein after wearing for a period of time. Lysozyme adsorption dynamics of fluorosilicone acrylate contact lenses has been studied in order to further improve data of protein adsorption, reduce adsorbing amount of surface protein, and prevent surface contamination of contact lenses.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the adsorption dynamics of fluorosilicone acrylate contact lenses to lysozyme in vitro. METHODS: A stock solution of lysozyme was prepared in Hanks balanced salt solution (2.0 g/L, solution Ⅰ) and different trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) concentrations were prepared. Recovery experiment, the contact lenses were placed in shaking incubator at 37 ℃ for varying time intervals. After incubation there was a single rinsing in Hanks balanced salt solution. Contact lenses in control group were placed in diluted water, and contact lenses in the other group were placed in different concentrations of TFA. For deposition, FSA contact lenses in experimental group were placed in shaking incubator at 37 ℃ for varying time intervals. After incubation there was a single rinsing in Hanks balanced salt solution. Then FSA contact lenses were immersed in 0.2% TFA solution. The amount of lysozyme was assayed with BCA method.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Lysozyme which attached to fluorosilicone acrylate contact lenses could be resolved by TFA, and the recovery was influenced by the immersed time and the concentration of TFA. The optimal time was 1 hour, and the optimum concentration was 0.2%. The adsorption dynamics of lysozyme on FSA contact lenses was a second-phased process, i.e., lysozyme adsorption increased rapidly during 10 minutes-1 hour, reached a plateau at 1 hour, stably adsorbed during 1-24 hours, and reached a saturation of 0.349 mg/cm~2. The recovery of lysozyme was lower at 10 and 30 minutes, but reached 90%-100% while the time of incubation was between 40 minutes and 24 hours.
