OBJECTIVE:To provide references for how to enhance industrial technical level and research&development ability.METHODS:The status quo of the research&development and the investment of the multinational pharmaceutical enterprises in China,and the motive and impact of their increased investment in China were studied and analyzed.Some countermeasures and recommendations in coping with the international economical situation were presented.RESULTS&CONCLUSION:Under the situation of increasing investment on research&development in china by multinational pharma-ceutical enterprises,we should take advantage of the positive effects and avoid the negative effects,insist on independence and innovation meanwhile enhance international cooperation so as to promote the development of Chinese pharmaceutical indus-tries.

OBJECTIVE:To provide references for the evolvement of Chinese drug safety credit system construction.METHODS:The status quo of Chinese drug safety credit system was analyzed by applying the credit management theory,and some corresponding developmental countermeasures were put forward by drawing experiences from abroad.RESULTS &CONCLUSION:The fundamental strategy for the construction of standardized economic order in pharmaceutical market is to establish and perfect drug safety credit system.The drug safety credit system should be constructed comprehensively from the credit laws,credit information databank,credit ratings,credit supervision,credit agency,credit awards and punishments,etc.

Objective In the heart,autophagy is important for the turnover of organelles at low basal levels under normal conditions,but is upregulated in response to stresses such as ischemia/reperfusion and in cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure. It can prevent the heart from injury under stress conditions. This study was designed to test the hypothesis that autophagy would be upregulated in the myocardium of children with cyanotic congenital cardiac defects. Methods Eighteen children with cyanotic (n=10) or acyanotic cardiac defects (n=8) who were admitted in our hospital from October 2008 to April 2009 and received surgical treatment were investigated. Samples from the right ventricular myocardium taken immediately after aortic clamping were morphologically studied with transmission electron microscopy for the ultrastructure. Microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC-3) was detected by Western blot analysis in the obtained samples. Results Children with cyanotic cardiac defects had higher oxyhemoglobin saturation before operation than those with acyanotic cardiac defects. Electron microscopy showed that the former group had more mitochondria,disordered arrangement,swollen endoplasmic reticulum and typical autophagosomes in the myocardial cytosol. Objective To explore the influence of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) on the proliferation, apoptosis and expression of p27kipl protein of gastric epithelial cells in vitro. Methods SC, C-7901 cell pro-liferation was examined by flow cytometry after incubation with different concentration of NCTC11637. The effect of NCTC11637 on cell apoptosis was also evaluated by flow cytometryo And the expression of p27kipl of gastric epithelial cells was detected by immunohistochemical analysis and in situ hybridization, respectively. Results Cell proliferation was enhanced when co-incubated with the Hp in low concentration (3.4 x 104 to 1.9 x 105 CFU/ml) but inhibited in higher concentration (≥4.8×106CFU/ml). However, cell apoptosis was increase when co-incubated with the Hp in high concentration (≥9.6 ×105 CFU/ml) showing concen-tration dependent picture. In addition, the co-incubation of SGC-7901 with Hp led to decrease of the expres-sion of p27kipl protein but not mRNA in a Hp concentration dependent way. Conclusion Hp could effect the gastric epithelial cells apoptosis and proliferation directly and influence the expression of p27kips protein which might facilitate gastric carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the effect of ghrelin on PAI-1 secretion in HepG2 cells induced by TNF-αand the effect of p-38 MAPK.Methods HepG2 cells were cultured.The concentration of TNF-α used to treat the HepG2 cells wag selected.The effect of ghrelin on PAI-1 secretion induced by TNF-α was detected by ELISA,the p-38 MAPK expression was investigated by Western blot.Results The concentration of PAI-1 was increased when cells were exposed to different concentration of TNF-α.The p-p38 MAPK expression was increased when the cells were exposed to TNF-α,ghrelin could inhibit the increase of PAI-1 secretioN induced by TNF-α.The expression of p-p38 MAPK was decreased when the cells were pretreated with ghrelin.Conclusion PAI-1 secretion were increased after TNF-α in-creasing.Ghrelin could inhibit PAI-1 secretion via p38 MAPK.

AIM:To investigate the differences among Lenstar 900, A-scan ultrasound and keratometer in measurement of axial length ( AL ) , anterior chamber depth ( ACD ) and corneal curvature ( K1 , K2 , Km ) , and evaluate the consistency of the instruments, with the purpose providing references for the clinical application of Lenstar 900.
METHODS: In this study we picked up 36 patients ( 50 eyes ) underwent cataract surgery, and lens nucleus hardness were under level IV. Before the operation, AL, ACD and K1 , K2 , Km were measured by Lenstar 900, A-scan ultrasound and keratometer respectively. The differences between the results were compared by the paired t-test. The correlation of the results was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis, and the consistency was measured by Bland-Ahamn method.
RESULTS: The mean AL and ACD values measured by Lenstar 900 and A-scan ultrasound had no significantly statistic differences (P>0. 05). The K1, K2, Km measured by Lenstar 900 and keratometer were not significantly statistical different (P>0. 05). The results measured by these three instruments had close linearity correlation ( r>0.9, P<0. 01). The consistency of the results was well in Bland-Ahamn analysis.
CONCLUSION:The preoperatively biometric result of Lenstar 900, A - scan ultrasound and keratometer in patients with cataract are all reliable, and they can be substituted by each other. However, Lenstar 900 can not only measure AL, ACD and corneal curvature at the same time, but also cornal thickness, lens thickness, white to white, pupil size, optical axis eccentricity, retinal thickness and so on. It has a number of advantages such as non-touching, convenient and efficient, and can be recommended to use widely.

Objectives:To study the effect of Basen on the sensitivity of insulin in diabetes mellitus.Methods:Blood glucose,lipoprotein,insulin,C-peptide were assayed after and before the administration of Basen.Results:Levels of insulin,blood glucose,and C-peptide were lowered after four weeks administration of Basen,which changed contrarily to ISI.Conclusions:Basen has effects not only on lowering blood glucose but also on improving the insulin resistance.

Objective: To explore relationship between sulfonylurea receptor gene polymorphism and type 2 diabetes mellitus in Chinese subjects. Methods: Polymorphism of exon 16-3T→C in SUR gene 1 in 155 type 2 diabetic subjects and 132 controls were assessed by restriction fragment length polymorphism. Results: Frequency of “C” allele and “CC” homozygous phenotype in type 2 diabetic subjects was higher than that in control group. Conclusion:Allele “C” stands for hereditary susceptibility to diabetes.
