1.Effect of cognitive intervention based on conception of knowledge and belief on cognition level and negative moods
Modern Clinical Nursing 2017;16(4):28-33
Objective To explore the effect of cognitive intervention based on conception of knowledge and belief on cognition level and negative moods in the lung cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. Methods Toally 84 lung cancer patients hospitalized in our hospital from March 2014 to November 2015 were equally divided into the study group and the control group by a random digit table. The control group received the traditional model of nursing, while the study group was treated with cognition intervention based on conception of knowledge and belief as well as the same routine care as in the control group for 4 weeks. Before and after 4 weeks intervention, the two groups were compared in terms of their knowledge, belief, behaviors, self care ability, depression and anxiety. Results Before intervention, there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of their knowledge, belief, behaviors, self care ability, depression and anxiety (all P>0.05). After the intervention, the scores on knowledge, belief, behavior and self care ability in the study group were all significantly higher than those of the control group and the scores on anxiety and depression were both statistically significantly lower than those of the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion The cognition intervention based on conception of knowledge and belief on cognition level and negative moods to the lung cancer patients is effective in improvement of their knowledge, belief, behavior as well as in alleviation of their anxiety and depression.

Objective To assess the curative effect of microscopic anterior cervical approach in cervical spondylotic diseases. Methods A total of 75 patients were selected, who underwent microscopic subtotal anterior cervical decompres-sion and titanium mesh to fusion fixation or microscopic decompression of resection of the cervical intervertebral disc and cage implant fixation in Tianjin People's Hospital since October 2011 to October 2012. The Cervical vertebra gap involved 1 level in 41 cases, 2 levels in 30 cases and 3 levels in 4 cases. Pateints followed up regularly after operation. The nerve func-tion was assessed using Japanese orthopaedic association scoring system (JOA) function was calculated to examine the im-provement rate and to assess the curative effect of microscopic anterior cervical approach. Results All patients were fol-lowed up. The nerve function recovery was excellent in 44 cases, was well in 25 cases, was general in 6 cases, and the ex-cellent and well recovery rate was 92%. There was no significant difference between excellent recovery rate and well recov-ery rate. There were significant differences in values of each cervical levels between before and after surgery in the last fol-low-up of patients (P<0.05). Conclusion Microscopic operative treatment for cervical spondylotic is safe and effective, with less trauma and bleeding. After surgical decompression, the recovery is rapid in patients with early ambulation.

In recent years, zebrafish has become ideal animal models of human disease with its unique characteristics, such as small body, fecundity, fast development and growth, embryo transparency, and so on.Furthermore, the structure and gene of zebrafish eye are highly conservative with human eye, which make ophthalmologists to pay close attentions to zebrafish. This review focused on the studies and applications on zebrafish embryonic development of eyes, and also the applications of currently used genetic regulation and editing techniques and tools.

Hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) are the mesenchymal cells in the liver. In the process of tumori-genesis and metastasis, the interactions between HSCs and tumor ceils play an important role in promoting tumor invasion through extracellular matrix remodelling. Here we review the latest investigative advances a-bout the tumor-stromal interactions.

[Objective] To evaluate the efficacy and short-term results of selective expansive open-door laminoplasty(ELAP).[Method] From June 2005-June 2006,a total of 102 pataents with cervical spondylotic myelopathy(CSM)were enrolled in this study.Forty-four patients underwent ELAP.Fifty-eight patients undergoing conventional C3~7 ELAP served as controls. The clinical results and radiological examinations of both groups were evaluated at 12 month after surgery.[Result]There was no significant difference in recovery rate of Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)scores. The incidence of axial symptoms in the selective ELAP group was significantly lower than those in the C3~7 ELAP group(P

[Objective]To explore the surgical plan of lumbar degenerative de novo scoliosis combined with vertebral stenosis(LDDS) and evaluate the surgical efficiency.[Method]From July 2003 to Jan.2007,32 LDDS patients were diagnosed and operated in the author’s hospital. The X-ray,computed tomography and MRI radiological data were measured carefully preoperately which included the Cobb’s angle, vertebral rotational and lateral subluxation degree. All the patients were treated by posterior decompression and pedicle screw internal fixation, and the surgery, fluoroscopic time and bleeding amount were recorded.Patients were administered pre- and postoperatively with clinical outcome surveys of Visual Analogue Pain Score(VAS),Low Back Outcome Score(LBOS).Pre- and postoperative measurements of the Cobb's angle and lumbar lordosis of the involved segments were analyzed.[Result]The surgery time was 4?0.5 hours, the average bleeding amount was 400?30 ml,the fluoroscopic time was 30?5 min.All the patients were followed from 8 months to 4 years, and radiography was proceeded on 8 and 16 months respectively post surgery.Twenty-four cases got good bone fusion, and mean Cobb's angle decreased from 37.2 to 18.4 degrees, mean focal lordosis increased from 13.1 to 16.4 degrees, mean vertebral rotation angle decreased from 14.2 to 9.8 degrees, mean preoperative measures of VAS and LBOS improved from 5.3?2.2 and 24.8?15.6,respectively to 2.2?2.1 and 44.8?18.0 at last follow-up,the Cobb’s angle, lumbar lordosis and the degree of vertebral rotation had significantly difference pre and post surgery(t test,P

[Objective]To analyze the effect of the surgical operation for cervical myelopathy due to mixed ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL). [Methods]Forty-two patients with mixed OPLL were enrolled from June 2003 to June 2007.Eighteen were treated with posterior laminoplasty combined with anchor nail fixation(group A).Fifteen with laminoplasty (group B) and the other nine with laminectomy(group C).According to the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scoring system for cervical myelopathy, the neural function scores were obtained. The cervical shoulder pain score and the influence factors for prognosis were documented.[Results]All patients were followed for 6 months to 4 years (mean 23 months). The differences between preoperation and post operation were significant among the three different surgery type groups (P
