Serum sVCAM 1 level in the IGT group was significantly higher than that in the NGT group (P
6.Application of precision medicine in non-small cell lung cancer
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;38(4):247-252
Lung cancer, with growing morbidity and mortality worldwide, is one of the most malignant tumors, representing a significant threat to human health and life. The application of next-generation genomic technologies has offered a more comprehensive look at the mutational landscape across the different subtypes of nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC).A number of recurrent mutations such as TP53, KRAS, and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) have been identified in NSCLC.While targeted therapeutic successes have been demonstrated in the therapeutic targeting of EGFR and ALK, the majority of NSCLC tumors do not harbor these genomic events. This review looks at the current treatment paradigms for lung adenocarcinomas (LAC) and squamous cell carcinomas, examining genomic aberrations that dictate therapy selection, as well as novel therapeutic strategies for tumors harboring mutations in KRAS and TP53 which, to date, have been considered undruggable.A more thorough understanding of the molecular alterations that govern NSCLC tumorigenesis, aided by next-generation sequencing, will lead to targeted therapeutic options expected to dramatically reduce the high mortality observed in lung cancer.
7.The status and progress of relationship between macrophages polarization and choroidal neovascularization
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2016;32(1):96-99
Macrophages are major effecter cells of nonspecific immune response, the polarization of which plays a great role in inflammation, repairing and angiogenesis.According to functional phenotypes, macrophages can be polarized to classically activated type (M1),which could promote angiogenesis, and alternatively activated type (M2),which could inhibit angiogenesis. The proportion of M1/M2 could modulate the growth of choroidal neovascularization (CNV).Under the conditions of aging and injury within the retina, macrophages may polarize to M2,which could generate several proangiogenic factors, initiating and promoting the formation of angiogenesis and fibrous scar. Therefore, regulation of macrophage polarization is expected to inhibit angiogenesis and provide new insight for treatment of CNV.

Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2003;0(08):-
Objective To explore the feasibility of ultrasonic examination in the strain(S) and strain rate(SR) of carotid artery atheromatous plaque, and the distribution of S and SR of the atherosclerotic plaques. Methods Tissue velocity imaging(TVI) was used in 26 cases of coronary artery disease(CAD),and 35 atherosclerotic plaques in the carotid artery were found. The peak values of displacement, S and SR in different plaque sites were obtained with Q-analysis software. The estimation of S and SR of same sites was acquired in different parametric settings, including S length, S reject and S scale. Results Different parametric settings had no influence upon the estimation of S and SR. However, significant difference of S and SR could be found in different plaque sites, such as the shoulder, the surface of fibrous cap and the base and it was the same case among different acoustic plaque types. S and SR distribution patterns were similar between angina pectoris group and old myocardial infarction group; yet they were significantly different between acute myocardial infarction group and the former two groups. Conclusions TVI technique and ultrasonic Doppler-based strain imaging method could be used in carotid arteries. Strain concentrated mainly on the surface of fibrous cap and the plaque shoulder. SR of plaque shoulder among three acoustic plaque types was different. From the surface to the base axially, S and SR decreased gradually.
