1.Effect of Yulin Mixture on Ovarian Function in Rats with Kidney-yang Deficiency Ovulatory Dysfunction

Objective:To observe the effect of Yulin mixture on ovarian function in rats with kidney-yang deficiency ovulatory dysfunction.Methods:The hydrocortisone-induced ovulation disorder rat models were established,and the rats were divided into the model control group,Yulin mixture group and positive control group (clomiphene citrate group),and the normal control group was set up,and 10 rats were in each group.The general situation of the rats was observed.The wet weight indices of uterus and ovary were measured by an electronic analytical balance.Serum estradiol (E2),progesterone (P),follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) were measured by radioimmunoassay.Ovarian morphology was observed after HE staining.Results:Yulin mixture could improve the general status of ovulation disorder rats,increase the wet weight indices of uterus and ovary (P<0.05) and the levels of serum E2,P,LH and FSH (P<0.01),and improve the pathological state of ovarian morphology.Conclusion:Yulin mixture can improve the levels of serum E2,P,LH and FSH resulting in promoting ovarian development.
2.The management of the pheochromocytoma of high risk

Objective To probe into the diagnosis and treatment of pheochromocytoma of high risk. Methods The clinical data of 35 cases of pheochromocytoma of high risk underwent surgical extirpation from 1990 to 2000 were reviewed. Results The tumors were intraadrenal in 27 and extraadrenal in 8.The average diameter of the growth which could be successfully resected was 10 cm and the weight 350 g.Biopsy was undertaken in 2 because of the difficulty in extirpation of the tumor.Recurrence occurred in 4 and there were 3 cases being comfirmed to be malignant. Conclusions Adequate preoperative preparation and definite location of the tumor are the most important before surgery.Fluctuation of blood pressure have to be monitored during surgery and to be treated carefully and promptly.Hypoglycemia have to be awared of after the surgery.

5.Value of 3D DCE MRA in the Diagnosis of Adrenal Diseases and Renal Diseases

Objective To evaluate the value of 3-dimensional dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (3D DCE MRA) in the diagnosis of adrenal and renal diseases.Methods 3D DCE MRA was performed on 22 patients with adrenal neoplasm,23 patients with renal neoplasm and 2 patients with stenosis of renal artery. Comparison with surgical findings or DSA was made.Results 3D DCE MRA clearly reflected the vascular anatomy,satisfied diagnostic demands.Simultaneously,The extravascular lesions were also detected.Conclusion The 3D DCE MRA is a reliable non-damaged imaging diagnostic method.
6.Content Determination of Asperosaponin Ⅵ in Yulin Mixture by HPLC

OBJECTIVE:To establish HPLC method for the content determination of asperosaponin Ⅵ in Yulin mixture.ME-THODS:The separation was performed on Zorbax EcLipse XDB-C18(150 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m) column with mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.01 mol?L-1 hydrochloric acid (69:31) and flow rate of 1 mL?min-1.The detection wavelength was set at 212 nm and column temperature was 20 ℃.RESULTS:The linear range of asperosaponin Ⅵ was 0.022~0.23 mg?mL-1(r=0.998 9) with an average recovery of 101.33% (RSD=2.35%,n=9).CONCLUSION:The method is convenient,simple,accurate and reproducibility for the quality control of Yulin mixture.
7.Correlation between fluid attenuation inversion recovery vascular hyperintensities-diffusion weighted imaging mismatch and the outcomes of endovascular mechanical thrombectomy in patients with middle cerebral artery M1 segment occlusive stroke

Objective:To investigate the correlation between fluid attenuated inversion recovery vascular hyperintensities (FVH) -diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) mismatch and the outcomes after endovascular mechanical thrombectomy (EMT) in patients with acute middle cerebral artery M1 segment occlusive stroke.Methods:Patients with middle cerebral artery M1 segment occlusive stroke who received EMT treatment and whose FLAIR images showed FVH in the Affiliated Hospital of Yangzhou University from January 2016 to June 2020 were enrolled retrospectively. The demographics and basic clinical information of the patients were collected. The modified Rankin Scale was used to evaluate the outcomes at 3 months after the onset of symptoms. 0-2 was defined as a good outcome, and >2 was defined as a poor outcome. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to determine the independent influencing factors of clinical outcome. Results:A total of 77 patients were enrolled in the study. Their age was 67.16±9.63 years, 51 were males (66.23%). The baseline National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score was 14.16±7.49. Forty patients (51.95%) had a good outcome, and 37 (48.05%) had a poor outcome. Univariate analysis showed that the proportion of patients with FVH-DWI mismatch in the good outcome group was significantly higher than that in the poor outcome group (60.00% vs. 29.73%; χ2=7.103, P=0.008), and baseline NIHSS score (11.60±4.44 vs. 16.92±9.05; t=-3.312, P=0.001) and the proportion of patients with hypertension (65.00% vs. 86.49%; χ2=4.774, P=0.029) were significantly lower than those in the poor outcome group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that FVH-DWI mismatch was independently associated with the good outcomes (odds ratio [ OR] 0.345, 95% confidence interval [ CI] 0.121-0.984; P=0.047), baseline NIHSS score was independently associated with the poor outcomes ( OR 1.133, 95% CI 1.036-1.239; P=0.006). Conclusion:FVH-DWI mismatch was independently associated with the good outcomes after EMT treatment in patients with acute middle cerebral artery M1 segment occlusive stroke.
8.Development and in vitro study of miniature implantable axial flow blood pump

Objective The research of impeller blood pump has been the key point in cardiac surgery and biomedical engineering fields in recent years. To investigate hydrodynamies of self researched and developed mini axial flow pump, parameters of pump were tested on a homemade mimic vitro platform. Methods Hydrodynamics tests were performed in vitro mimic circulation, water and 30% glycerin in water as respeetive circulatory mediator to simulate blood. Results Flow rates can reach 6. 19L/min and 5.08L/min respectively in water and 30% glycerin, when rotation speed was 13000rpm and pressure was 100mmHg. Conclusion Axial flow blood pump has good hydrodynamics to substitute for left ventricle, whieh can meet the demand of assisted circulation in congestive heart failure patients.
9.A primary study of curvilinear distraction osteogenesis

Objective:To seek the possibility of using internally installed curved mandibular distractor to repair the partial mandibular curved defect.Methods:A curved mandibular defect was sectioned in each of 3 adult dogs.The distractor designed by our own group based on the steel ball conducted force was implanted.After 7 days of latency,the distraction was performed at the rate of 0.5 mm × 2 times per day,followed by 3 months consolidation period.The osteogenesis was evaluated by general observation,X-ray examination and HE staining.Results:No complication was observed after operation and during distraction.The new bone healed well into a curved shape.The X-ray examination revealed that the transport disc moved along with the predesigned rail curve.HE staining clearly showed neo bone formulation zone between the mature trabecular and connective tissue.Conclusion:The internal distractor based on the steel ball conducted force can realize the curved distraction osteogenesis of posteriormandibular.
10.Accuracy of ultrasonographic measurement of transverse diameter of cricoid cartilage in selecting cuffed endotracheal tube size for pediatric patients

Objective To evaluate the accuracy of ultrasonographic measurement of the transverse diameter of the cricoid cartilage in selecting the cuffed endotracheal tube (ETT) size for pediatric patients.Methods A total of 120 pediatric patients of both sexes,of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ,aged 1 month-6 yr,with body mass index of 10.9-31.2 kg/m2,undergoing endotracheal intubation and general anesthesia,were divided into group A and group B,with 60 pediatric patients in each group.The pediatric patients were intubated with a cuffed ETT in two groups.The ETT size was selected based on the transverse diameter of the cricoid cartilage measured by ultrasonography in group A.The ETT size was selected according to the age-based formula in group B.A tracheal leak was detected after intubation to determine whether or not the ETT size selected was appropriate.ETTs were replaced when the actually selected ones were not appropriate,and the number of replacement was recorded.The development of intubation-related complications was also recorded.Results The accurate rate of cuffed ETT size selected at the first time was 95% in group A,and it was significantly higher than that in group B (60%) (P< 0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of intubation-related complications between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Uhrasonographic measurement of the transverse diameter of the cricoid cartilage produces higher accuracy in selecting the cuffed ETT size for pediatric patients and is worthy of clinical application.
