Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture plus moxibustion in treating infantile cerebral palsy. Method Eighty eligible patients with infantile cerebral palsy were randomized into a treatment group of 42 cases and a control group of 38 cases. The control group was intervened by physiotherapy (PT), while the treatment group was given electroacupuncture at scalp acupoints, body acupuncture, and moxibustion along the Governor Vessel in addition to the treatment given to the control group. The two groups were treated once a day, 6 months in total. The comprehensive ability and the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) were evaluated before and after the interventions in the two groups, and the clinical efficacies were compared.Result After 6-month treatment, the total effective rate was 92.9% in the treatment group versus 78.9% in the control group, and the total effective rate of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group (P<0.05). The motor function and activities of daily living were significantly improved in both groups after the interventions (P<0.05,P<0.01); after the treatment, there were significant differences in comparing the motor function and activities of daily living between the two groups (P<0.05). The GMFM scores of each domain were significantly changed after the treatment in both groups (P<0.05); after the treatment, there were significant differences in comparing the GMFM scores of each domain between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with being used alone, conventional PT can more significantly benefit the improvement of motor function of cerebral palsy patients when electroacupuncture and moxibustion were added.

AIM: To study the effect of p19ARF on the biological behavior of human leukemia cells. METHODS: p19ARF was cloned in eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1 and transferred into INK4a/ARF locus-deficient leukemia cells HEL and K562. The changes in biological characteristics of the two p19ARF-transfected cells were observed. RESULTS: The growth of the p19ARF-transfected HEL cells was significantly inhibited compared with the vector-transfected cells; Cell cycle analysis showed that the expression of foreign p19ARF gene resulted in G1 phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis cell death in some of HEL cells. However, p19ARF had no marked effects on the growth of K562 cells with p53 gene mutation and did not induce apoptosis in K562 cells. CONCLUSION: p19ARF suppressed the growth of leukemia cells by p53 -dependent pathway.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus medication and kinesiotherapy in treating cerebral stroke.Method A total of 126 patients with cerebral stroke were randomized into a treatment group of 42 cases, control group 1 of 40 cases and control group 2 of 44 cases. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture, Chinese medication plus kinesiotherapy, control group 1 by acupuncture alone and control group 2 by kinesiotherapy alone. Before the intervention and respectively after 2-week and 4-week treatment, the three groups were observed by adopting the modified Barthel Index (MBI) and Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), as well as the Activities of Daily Living (ADL).Result After the treatment, the MBI score, FMA score and ADL grading were significantly changed in the three groups (P<0.01). After 4-week treatment, the MBI score in the treatment group was significantly different from that in control group 2 (P<0.05). After 4-week treatment, the FMA score and ADL grading in the treatment group were significantly different from those in both control group 1 and 2 (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture plus medication and kinesiotherapy is an effective approach in treating cerebral stroke and it can improve the ADL.

Objective To study whether placenta previa and type affect the body mass of newborns and increase the occurrence rate of small for gestational age (SGA).Methods The clinical data in 290 inpatients with placenta previa in our hospital from January 2013 to December 2016 were retrospectively analyzed;contemporaneous 290 inpatients with non-placenta previa were randomly selected as the control group.The influences of placenta previa and type on fetal gestational weeks,neonatal body mass and SGA were comparatively analyzed by using the standard t test or Chi-square tests.The Logistic regression analysis was adopted to analyze the association between placenta previa and the adverse pregnancy outcomes.Results Compared with non-placenta previa group,the age in the patients with placenta previa was elder(30.9 ±4.6 vs.29.1 ± 4.0,P＜0.01),had more gravidas (3.2 ± 1.8 vs.2.2±1.4,P＜0.01) and parities (1.4+0.7 vs.1.1±0.6,P＜0.01),lower pregnant weeks at birth (37.7±1.7 vs.39.0± 1.5,P＜0.01).The neonatal body masses in the complete placenta previa and dangerous placenta previa were (3 038.1 ± 450.0)g and (2 940.9 ± 503.0)g respectively,which were on the significantly lower side compared with the non-placenta previa group(P＜ 0.05).After correcting the risk factors of ages,gravidas,parities,GDM and gestation weeks,the risk of complete and dangerous placenta previa was slightly higher[OR 1.21,95％CI(0.29,6.02);OR 2.25,95％CI(0.88,5.77)],but the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion Complete and dangerous placenta previa has a higher risk of SGA.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of attentional control between Wenchuan earthquake anxious and normal children. Methods Using Screening Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders (SCARED), 18 earthquake anxious children were chosen as participants and 18 normal children were chosen as control group. They were asked to perform a visual search task. Results ( 1 ) The judgment accuracy of earthquake anxious children was lower than normal children's significantly ( ( 0.95 ± 0.01 ), ( 0. 98 ± 0. 01 ), P ＜0.01 ). ( 2 ) The reaction time of earthquake anxious children was significantly longer than normal children' s ((1664.5 ± 78.5 ) ms, ( 1110.7 ± 78.5 ) ms, P ＜ 0. 01 ). ( 3 ) There was significantly faster performance in the valid condition than in the neutral( ( 1304.7 ± 61.3 ) ms, ( 1382. 3 ± 47.4 ) ms, P ＜ 0. 05 ) and invalid condition ( ((1304.7 ± 61.3 )ms, (1475.8 ± 71.5 )ms; P ＜ 0. 05 ), as well as faster performance in the neutral than in the invalid condition ((1382.3 ± 47.4) ms, ( 1475.8 ± 71.5 ) ms, P ＜ 0.05 ) in all children. Conclusion The performance of earthquake anxious children on top-down attentional control task is less than normal children. It indicates that anxious emotion which is brought by traumatic incidents like earthquake influents earthquake anxious children' s cognitive processing ability.

AIM: To study the effects of over-expression of tricarboxylic acid cycle intermediates transporter NaDC3 (high affinity sodium-dependent dicarboxylate transporter) on energy metabolism and ROS generation in human renal tubular cells. METHODS: Recombinant retrovirus vector containing NaDC3 gene was constructed and used for infecting human renal tubular epithelial cell HKC. Control vector containing Neo gene was also constructed and infected cells. Liquid scintillation method was used to determine the level of [~3H]-succinate (as a transport substrate of NaDC3) in the cells. Clark electrode method and reverse phase HPLC were used to detect oxygen consumption and ATP content intracellularly, respectively. Mitochondrial membrane potential and reactive oxygen species (ROS) content in HKC were determined with laser confocal microscope after treatment with fluorescent probe JC-1 and CM-H_2DCFDA, respectively. RESULTS: Western blotting analysis showed that the expression of NaDC3 protein in uninfected- and control vector-infected cells was at lower level. After infection with recombinant NaDC3 vector, expression level of NaDC3 protein in HKC cells was increased markedly. Transport assay revealed that the level of [~3H]-succinate in NaDC3-infected cells was noticeably increased. Oxygen consumption and ATP content in NaDC3-infected HKC were significantly higher than those in uninfected- and control vector-infected cells. Laser confocal analysis revealed that mitochondrial membrane potential and ROS level in NaDC3-infected HKC were increased, compared with uninfected- and control vector-infected cells. CONCLUSION: Over-expression of NaDC3 accelerates the speed rate of energy metabolism and increases intracellular ROS generation by transporting an overdose of tricarboxylic acid cycle intermediates in human renal tubular epithelial cells.

Objective To observe the alteration and clinical significances of blood coagulation indicators in patients with lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL). Methods Twenty patients who were newly diagnosed LPL in the First People's Hospital of Changzhou from January 2008 to October 2017 and twenty healthy controls were studied. The patients were treated by chemotherapy, plasma exchange, supplement of coagulation factor or other supportive therapy. The parameters of prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), fibrinogen (FIB), thrombin time (TT), D-dimer (D-D), and platelet count (Plt) were detected in LPL group and healthy controls. Results The levels of PT and APTT in LPL group were dramatically higher than those in control group [(12.9±1.2) s vs. (11.6±0.9) s, (41.7±9.8) s vs. (24.7±2.9) s], and the level of Plt in LPL group was lower than that in control group [112×109/L (3×109/L - 379×109/L) vs. 210×109/L (170×109/L - 271×109/L)], and the differences were statistically significant (all P< 0.05). There were no significant differences in FIB, TT and D-D levels between LPL group and control group (all P ＞0.05). There were no statistical differences in PT, APTT, FIB, TT, D-D and Plt levels among LPL patients with different types of immunoglobins (all P ＞ 0.05). After treatment, all the coagulation abnormalities got relieved and no patient died of hemorrhage or thrombosis. Conclusions The LPL patients have coagulation disorders and hypercoagulability, and this is independent of the type of immunoglobulin. Clinical attention should be paid to monitoring coagulation indicators to prevent the occurrence of adverse reactions.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of DCD donor-derived CRKP infection and bleeding in kidney transplantation,and to summarize the experience of diagnosis,treatment and prevention.Methods A retrospective analysis was carried out from July 2016 to December 2017 in hospital,containing clinical data of 4 cases of CRKP-infected DCD donors and 7 cases of kidney transplantation recipients.Results In the CRKP culture of 4 cases of DCD donors,1 case was positive for blood culture,1 case was positive for urine culture,1 case was positive for sputum culture,and 1 case was negative for blood,urine and sputum culture.The corresponding 7 recipients were all positive for blood culture after renal transplantation,4 cases were positive for urine culture,3 cases were positive for sputum culture,and 5 cases were positive for perirenal drainage.Of the 7 patients,4 cases had renal artery hemorrhage,1 of them was died.The average bleeding time was 17.75 days after operation (14-19 days).In 7 patients with renal transplantation,CRP increasd.And in 3 cases of deaths,CRP was stably higher than normal.Meanwhile,CRP in 4 surviving patients gradually decreased to the normal range after effective anti-infection treatment.All 7 patients were treated with carbapenems;2 patients were dead without avibactam therapy;and 5 cases were treated with avibactam and carbapenems and survived,1 case died and 1 case had good renal function recovery.Conclusion Positive CRKP in blood,urine and sputum of DCD donors can lead to CRKP infection in kidney transplant recipients.Even if the body fluids of donors are all negative,the false negative results could not be excluded.Persistent or increased high-level CRP after operation is an early warning on CRKP infection.And CRP can be used as an indicator for evaluating the effectiveness of anti CRKP therapy.The combination of avibactam and carbapenem antibiotics is an effective regimen in the treatment of DCD donor-derived CRKP.

ObjectiveTo explore sleep disturbance in preschool children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and analyze the relationship between sleep disturbance and social behavior. MethodsFrom December, 2020 to December, 2022, 221 preschool children with ASD from Beijing Bo'ai Hospital and other two institutes, and 246 healthy preschool children socially recruited were investigated with Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ). A total of 47 ASD children and 47 healthy children were selected from them to wear a sleep monitoring watch for seven days, while the ASD children were evaluated with Gesell Development Diagnosis Scale (GDDS), Psychoeducational Profile-Third Edition (PEP-3), Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS), Autism Behavior Checklist (ABC), Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) and Social Responsiveness Scale (SRS). ResultsAll the factor-scores were more in the ASD children than in the healthy children (t > 2.491, P < 0.05), except that of daytime sleepiness. The prevalence of sleep disturbance (CSHQ ≥ 41) was 89.6% in ASD children, which was more than that of the healthy children (76.8%) (χ² = 13.360, P < 0.001). The sleep problems in ASD children included bedtime resistance, sleep anxiety, sleep duration, sleep onset delay, parasomnias and sleep disordered breathing. ASD children were shorter in total bedtime, shorter in total sleep time, longer in sleep latency, longer in awake time and lower in sleep efficiency (|t| > 2.001, P < 0.05), compared with those of healthy children. For ASD children, the total bedtime negatively correlated with GDDS-language, PEP-3-expressive language, PEP-3-communication and PEP-3-maladaptive behaviors (r < -0.300, P < 0.05); the sleep efficiency negatively correlated with total score of CARS (r = -0.365, P < 0.05); sleep latency correlated with GDDS-social, PEP-3-cognitive, PEP-3-expressive language, PEP-3-receptive language, PEP-3-visual-motor imitation, PEP-3-characteristic verbal behaviors, PEP-3-communication, original score of ADOS, ADOS-social affect, and total score of CARS (|r| > 2.90, P < 0.05); and total awake time positively correlated with total score of CARS (r = 0.406, P < 0.05). ConclusionSleep disturbance is prevalent and various in preschool ASD children, and influence their social behaviors.
