Background and purpose:Parotid gland is rich in fat and has obvious contrast with bone and muscle in CT image.The preoperative examination of CT could help to evaluate the scale of tumor invasion and the relationship between tumor and normal tissues so that the proper therapy could be properly designed.The purpose of this study was to evaluate the roles of computer tomography(CT)in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant parotid tumors and to improve the diagnostic accuracy.Methods:CT images of 17 patients with benign parotid tumors and 15 patients with malignant parotid tumors proved by pathology were analyzed retrospectively.All patients underwent CT contrast-enhanced examination preoperatively.Images of all patients were retrospectively reviewed by two experienced radiologists in the diagnosis of head and neck tumors.Results:14 of 17 cases of benign tumors had round shapes and 9 of 15 cases of malignant tumors exhibited lobular or irregular masses(P

Objective To evaluate the effects of smecta in prolonged hemorrhagic shock.Methods The modified Wigger's method was used to induce hemorrhagic shock in anesthetized rabbits.Twenty-nine rabbits were randomly divided into hemorrhagic shock group(n=14),smecta group(n=15),with smecta solution being administered via a gavage tube before shock.The plasma levels of endotoxin,tumor necrosis factor ?(TNF?),interleukin-6(IL-6) and nitric oxide(NO) were detected at pre-shock and post-shock,immediately after resuscitation and 2h after resuscitation.Blood culture was done at pre-shock,immediately after resuscitation,2h after resuscitation.The survival rates of 24h and 48h were observed.Results The plasma levels of endotoxin,TNF?,IL-6 and NO markedly increased after shock,and were maintained at high level in shock group (P

CD47 is a pluripotent molecule which plays a key role in the process of tumor immune escape.Blocking CD47 signal pathway can activate the macrophages to phagocytose tumor cells,which becomes a promising way for tumor immunotherapy.Monoclonal antibodies targeting CD47 have been the new focus during recent years.Present researches are carried out successfully,however it still needs more work before the clinical application of monoclonal antibodies targeting CD47.

Objective To study the evaluation between the X-ray findings and ultrasound(US) manifestations of upper digestiveobstruction in infancy.Methods X-ray and US manifestations of 20 cases of infant with upper digestive obstruction proved by operationwere analysed respectively.Results In 20 cases,12 patients had pyloric stenosis,3 duodenal stresia,3 midgut malformation,2 hiatalhernia.Pyloric stenosis was diagnosed by X-ray in 11 cases,by US in 9,misdiagnosed by US in 1 case.Duodenal stresia was observed by X-ray and US in 2 cases separately,not observed by X-ray and US in 1 case separately.Midgut malformation was demonstrated by X-ray and US in 1 case separately,not demonstrated in 2 cases separately.Hiatal hernia was found by X-ray in 2 cases,misdiagnosed by US in 2 cases.Conclusion The two methods can't substitute with each other but complement.X-ray is better than US in the diagnosis of pyloric stenosis and hiatal hernia.US is better than X-ray in the diagnosis of midgut malformation.

Objective To observe clinical effects of Baixuan xiatare capsules combined with Baskin and compound Flumetasone on elderly patients with chronic eczema .Methods 160 elderly patients with chronic eczema were randomly divided into observation group and control group ,80 cases in each group , the observation group with XTR combined with Baskin , compound Flumetasone treatment , control group using Baskin combined with compound Flumetasone treatment for 4 weeks,the clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups .Results In the obser-vation group,the effective rate was 94.7%,the effective rate of control group was 82.1%,two groups have statistical significance with the efficiency difference (χ2 =5.862,P<0.05).Conclusion The XTR combined with Baskin and compound Flumetasone have better clinical effects than Baskin combined with compound flumetasone treatment with elderly patients with chronic eczema .

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of aminoguanidine and vitamin C on serum laminin of rats with diabetic nephropathy model. METHODS: The rats were randomly divided into normal control group, diabetes model group, vitamin C group,aminoguanidine group,vitamin C plus aminogucinidine group. The diabetes model(Type 1) was established in all groups except the normal control group by injecting them intraperitoneally with streptozotocin, after which, they were treated with the corresponding drugs for 16 weeks. During and after the treatment, the general state, blood gloucose levels, glycosylated hemoglobin, serum laminin, urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, and the 24-hours urinary albumin excretion rate of each group were observed and determined. RESULTS: The serum laminin levels increased and diabetic nephropathy occurred in all the 4 groups after being modelled. Aminoguanidine group, vitamin C had no effect on blood glucose level, while they could improve the basic condition and the combination of the two could significantly decrease serum levels of laminin, urea nitrogen, creatinine and the 24-hours urinary albumin excretion rate. CONCLUSION: Aminogucinidine and vitamin C couldn't decrease the blood sugar level but the combination of which has a synergistic action to decrease serum laminin level while preventing renal function.

AIM: To evaluate whether tolerogenic dendritic cells (DC) loaded with heat shock protein 60 (HSP60) inhibit the progression of aortic atherosclerotic plaque in hypercholesterolemic apolipoprotein E (Apo-E) -null mice. METHODS: Bone marrow derived DC of the mice were loaded with HSP60 and co-cultured with rapamycin to generate tolerogenic DC. The tolerogenic DC, DC loaded only HSP60 and PBS were injected into the ApoE-null mice at 8 weeks of age for three times at a one-week interval. 8 weeks after the last injection, aorta were harvested for HE staining and anti-CD4~+T cell immunostaining. Responses of pleenic cells to HSP60 were also evaluated. RESULTS: Compared with DC, DC_ HSP60 expressed higher levels of CD86, and stimulated T lymphocytes to proliferation significantly, while the tolerogenic DC expressed lower levels of CD86, and inhibited T lymphocytes to proliferation. Objective:To explore a new method of whole-process digital esthetic prosthodontic rehabilitation combined with periodontic surgery for complicated anterior teeth esthetic defects accompanied by soft tissue morphology,to provide an alternative choice for solving this problem under the guidance of three-dimensional (3 D) printing digital dental model and surgical guide,thus completing periodontic surgery and digital esthetic rehabilitation of anterior teeth.Methods:In this study,12 patients with complicated esthetic problems accompanied by soft tissue morphology in their anterior teeth were included.The dentition and facial images were obtained by intra-oral scanning and three-dimensional (3D) facial scanning and then calibrated.Two esthetic designs and prosthodontic outcome predictions were created by computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software combined with digital photography,including consideration of white esthetics and comprehensive consideration of pink-white esthetics.The predictive design of prostheses and the facial appearances of the two designs were evaluated by the patients.If the patients chose the design of comprehensive consideration of pink-white esthetics,they would choose whether they would receive periodontic surgery before esthetic rehabilitation.The dentition design cast of those who chose periodontic surgery would be 3D printed for the guide of periodontic surgery accordingly.Results:In light of the two digital designs based on intra-oral scanning,facing scanning and digital photography,the satisfaction rate of the patients was significantly higher for the comprehensive consideration of pink-white esthetic design (P ＜ 0.05) and more patients tended to choose priodontic surgery before esthetic rehabilitation.The 3 D printed digital dental model and surgical guide provided significant instructions for periodontic surgery,and achieved success transfer from digital design to clinical application.The prostheses were fabricated by CAD/CAM,thus realizing the whole-process digital esthetic rehabilitation.Conclusion:The new method for esthetic rehabilitation of complicated anterior teeth esthetic defects accompanied by soft tissue morphology,including patient-involved digital esthetic analysis,design,esthetic outcome prediction,3D printing surgical guide for periodontic surgery and digital fabrication is a practical technology.This method is useful for improvement of clinical communication efficiency between doctor-patient,doctor-technician and doctors from different departments,and is conducive to multidisciplinary treatment of this complicated anterior teeth esthetic problem.
