0.05).The incidence of upper limb edema and dysfunction was 4.2%(2/48) in PALD group and 16.0%(8/50) in TALD group(P0.05).Conclusion PALD may reduce upper limb dysfunction after operation in patients with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ breast cancer, and does not increase prognostic risk.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(01):-
Objectives To investigate and evaluate the effect of Nutrison-5Fu on immune function of perioperative patients with progressive gastrointestinal cancer, and simultaneously we also recommended the methods of application of Nutrison-5Fu.Methods Seventy eight cases were equally divided at random into three groups,26 cases in each group.⑴Nutrison-5Fu group:the patients were treated with Nutrison-5Fu.⑵Chemotherapy group:the patients only received 5-Fu.⑶Control group:there were not any chemotherapy and immunetherapy during the perioperation. The values of CD 3,CD 4,CD 8 and NKCC were determined in all cases. Results Values of CD 3,CD 4,CD/CD 8 ratio and NKCC in most patients were distinctly low,but the condition rapid improved by giving them Nutrison-5Fu.On the contrary, the values declined further after chemotherapy alone. Conclusion The treatment of Nutrison-5Fu not only can repress the development of the tumor, but also can improve the dystrophic status and immune function of the patients with cancer.

As a novel functional material with great application values, magnetic nanobead has been in fast development in recent years. Magnetic nanobead is provided with characteristics of beth polymeric and mag-netic particles, so it can be detected easily fi'om the medium and can be easily located since they can move di-rectionally when motivated by external electric field. The magnetic nanobead is widely used in biomedical engi-neering research due to its unique physical and chemical properties which simplify the complex experiments op-erations and shorten the testing period.

To investigate the expression of ICAM 1 in peripheral blood lymphocyte in elderly patients suffering from lung cancer and the effect of chemotherapy on the expression of ICAM 1, peripheral blood ICAM 1 contents in 52 elderly patients with lung cancer were assayed with the method of immune flow cytometry before and after chemotherapy, and 32 normal elders and 35 patients with benign disease in lung served as controls. The results showed that the expression of ICAM 1 on lymphocyte in elders with lung cancer was significantly higher than that in patients with benign disease and normal controls. There was a significant difference between ICAM 1 expression in patients in stage Ⅲ, Ⅳ and that in patients in stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ. ICAM 1 in peripheral blood before chemotherapy was significantly higher than that after chemotherapy. It is suggested that the expression of ICAM 1 in peripheral blood lymphocyte might be useful to judge the efficacy of chemotherapy and evaluate prognosis in geriatric patients with lung cancer.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(04):-
Confocal microscope and flow cytometry were used to study the adhesion and the expression of adhesive molecules between different metastatic lung cancer cells and endothelial cells (EC) in vitro. Tea polyphenols (TP) were tested for their effect on tumor cell endothelial adhesion. The results showed that the adhesion and expression of CD44?CD54 were significantly higher in PG cells than those in D9 cells. Treatment of EC monolayers with LPS(0 5ug/ml) for six hours caused an increase in adhesion of PG to EC and adhesive molecules expression. TP could inhibit the adhesion of PG to EC and expressions of CD44 and CD54 in dose dependent manner. It suggested that adhesion molecules might play an important role in mediating the adhesion of lung carcinoma to EC and hematogenous metastasis; TP had an inhibitory effect on metastasis of lung cancer.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(10):-
To assess the expression of peripheral blood CD62P in patients with non-small cell lung cancer and its clinical significance, peripheral blood CD62P content in 75 patients with lung cancer was detected by immune-flow-cytometry. Among them 45 patients with lung cancer were subjected to comparison of the CD62P contents between pre-operation and post-operation, and comparison with those of 30 normal donors. The results showed that peripheral blood CD62P content in patients with lung cancer was significantly higher than that in normal con-trols(P

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2012;32(6):722-723
ObjectiveTo determine the depth of sedation induced by target-controlled infusion (TCI) of propofol required to inhibit the swallowing reflex.MethodsThirty-five ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ healthy volunteers, aged 20-60 yr,with body mass index < 30 kg/m2,were enrolled in the study.Sedation was performed with TCI of propofol. The initial target plasma concentration (Cp) of propofol was set at 2.4 μg/ml and the Cp increased or decreased by 0.2 μg/ml every 5 min until the BIS value reached the predetermined level. The initial Cp of propofol was increased or decreased by 0.3 μg/ml in the next subject according to the BIS value in the previous one.The up-and-down sequential experiment was pedormed. The BIS value was set at 65 in the first subject and the ratio of the BIS value between the two consecutive subjects was 1.1.The BIS value was increased or decreased depending on the occurrence of the swallowing reflex in the previous subject. The half-effective BIS value (BIS50) and 95%confidence interval (CI) of propofol inhibiting the swallowing reflex were calculated by up-and-down sequential method.ResultsThe BIS50 of propofol required to inhibit the swallowing reflex was 64.4 (95% CI 59.3-69.8).ConclusionThe BIS50 and 95% CI of propofol administered by TCI and required to inhibit the swallowing reflex is 64,4 (59.3-69.8).

Objective To evaluate activity alteration of the pancreatic tissue phospholipase A 2 (PLA 2) and the therapeutic effects of verapamil in acute pancreatitis (AP) rats. Methods After the model of AP in the rat was established by the closed duodenal loop technique, the changes of PLA 2 activity were observed, and the pancreatic histology was examined by light and electron microscopy. Results At 16 and 24 hours after induction of AP in rats, significant inhibition of PLA 2 avtivity in pancreatic tissue was shown in the treated group (32.34?3.87, 35.26?4.52) as compared with AP group (44.83?5.31,47.77?5.86). The treated animals also showed decreasing in the severity of pancreatic pathology. Conclusions In AP rats exist high activity of PLA 2. Verapamil, a calcium channel blocker, might have therapeutic effects on AP by inhibiting the activity of PLA 2.
