Objective To observe the clinical effect of recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel combined with esberitox for recurrent oral ulcer.Methods Forty-six patients with recurrent oral ulcer were divided into treatment group of 22 patients and control group of 24 patients by random digits table method.The patients in treatment group were given recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel and esberitox.The patients in control group were given the watermelon frost spray only.After treatment for 1 week,the curative effect was compared.Results The cure rate in treatment group was 90.9％ (20/22),which was significantly higher than that in control group (66.7％,16/24),and there was significant difference (P ＜0.05).The time of pain vanish,oral ulcer decrease,oral ulcer healing in treatment group were significantly shorter than those in control group,and there were significant differences (P ＜0.05).Conclusions Recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel combined with esberitox for recurrent oral ulcer can promote ulcer healing,shorten the course of disease,and has no adverse reaction.It is worthy of applying in clinic.

Depression is a common mental disorders, severe cases may affect people's lives. In the treatment of de-pression, appropriate medication, as an assistant approach to psychological support, is proved helpful to patients' re-covery. Western medicine's ingredients are simple and mechanism is clear. Given it meets parts of the demand, the total effect is not satisfactory yet. Traditional Medicine's advantage is systematic, it has advantage in treating complex diseases. Thus, more and more attention was paid to Traditional Medicine, especially Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In this paper, we use patent as data source to discover the law of the TCM's usage, the international differ-ences, the outstanding organization, and the hotspots of the drug research in the treatment of depression. Profiling of the current status can provide references in new drug finding and the progress of pharmacy. The results show that there are a few traditional Chinese medicine patents about treatment of depression associated with kidney, but de-pression and kidney also have a higher correlation. Medicines within soothing liver formulas such as Xiaoyaosan have many related patent.

In this paper, we retrieved the patents of the traditional medicines used in health care worldwide. The patents were further screened by a series of processes. Finally, multi-angle analysis was carried out on the dataset to form a patent analysis report of traditional medicines in health care, including the distribution of the patents, the application trends, the domestic and foreign geographical layout, the major applicant and its activity, the important technical areas, the important medicinal and its pharmacological properties and so on.

A . Senticosus is a common medicinal plants, mainly used parts are the dried roots, rhizomes and stems. Since ancient time, it has been regarded as one of top grade medicabecause of its safety and various medicinal properties. To further the development and utilization, a survey of patent information is very helpful to outline the current status of the drug. In this paper, Espacenetand World Traditional Medcine Patent Database were used to perform patent retrieval. Then the dataset were screened, standardized and analyzes via Python and R. The result indicates that, A . Senticosus, given being used for a long history, has less invention patents application comparing with other TCM drugs. The applications mainly come from China, Korea, Japan, Russia, and USA. The major functions includes systemic protection, anti-toxic agent, and treatments of nervous system, digestive system, metabolic, immune and allergic diseases. As to the compatibility of medicines, it often associated with tonic medicine, especially Buqi medicine.

Schisandra is a frequent traditional Chinese medicine. It has the efficacy of SHOULIAN-GUSE, YIQING-SHENGJING, tonifying kidney and Ning heart, is very important tonic medicine. Patent literature records the majority of technological innovations, is a kind of valuable scientific literature, making good use of it can effectively promote innovation. And invention patent is the most valuable of all patent. Access to information found that there is no paper about analysis of schisandra related pantent in China. Thus, in this paper, Schisandra related patents were collected, statistics, analysis, to discover the information within, such as Schisandra patent history, the current pattern, outstanding invention agencies and drug law of Schisandra. Based on the result above, we hope to provide a reference for the patent application.

SUMMARY Here we report a case of cervical spondylosis misdiagnosed as cerebral infarction .The pa-tient was a 55-year-old man with a one-day history of weakness in his right extremities .Brain magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI) showed no acute abnormality , cerevical MRI showed that cervical spondylisis , C4/5 , C5/6 disc herniation , spinal canal stenosis and compression of the spinal cord .Then the patient was transferred to the Department of Orthopaedics and underwent surgical treatment of cervical spondylo -sis.Followed-up for six months , the weakness of his right extremities returned to normal .

Objective To observe the clinical effects of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) agent for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in different zones.Methods Retrospective analysis was performed on 24 ROP patients (46 eyes) who received intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF agent in our hospital from April 2013 to April 2014,including 15 patients (28 eyes) with Zone Ⅰ ROP and 9 patients (18 eyes) with Zone Ⅱ ROP.All the patients receive intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF agent Ranibizumab.The patients were observed for postoperative progression of fundus conditions,and the recovery rate and progression rate following initial injection were compared statistically between two groups.Results There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in gestational age at birth or birth weight (both P ＞0.05);And statistically significant difference was found between two groups in gestational age at surgical correction (P =0.001).Following initial injection,the recovery rates were 32.14％ and 66.67％,and the progression rates were 67.86％ and 33.34％ in Zone Ⅰ ROP group and Zone Ⅱ ROP group,respectively,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups in recovery rate (x2 =5.263,P =0.022).The progression rate in Zone Ⅰ ROP group was higher than that in Zone Ⅱ ROP group,there was statistically significant difference (x2 =-2.269,P =0.023).During follow-up,no complications of intravitreal injection as cataract,endophthalmitis or retinal tears was observed;Only 2 patients experienced corneal edema,and 4 patients experienced subconjunctival hemorrhage.Conclusion Intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF agent is effective for both Zone Ⅰ and Zone Ⅱ ROP.While for Zone Ⅰ ROP,the surgery success rate is low and the reoperation rate is high,such treatment can provide favorable time and conditions for reoperation.

In this paper, the patent of traditional medicines of type-2 diabetes mellitus before 2014 were searched, totally 1 229 patent family information were obtained. The patent information including developing trends, geographic distribution, competitive agencies, technical focus, herbs preferences and so on were analyzed. China is in a leader position on the number of applying patent of using traditional medicine to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus, and the main applications were research institutes, universities and pharmaceutical enterprises. Although the views and theo-ries on treatment of type-2 diabetes mellitus are variety and abound, the most frequently used traditional medicines are tonics and heat-clearing. This article reflected the history, clinical treatment way, developments, application of the diabetes traditional drugs after a meta-analysis,efforts to guide a better understanding and further research.

Patent documentation is a kind of high-value scientific literature. In this paper, the World Traditional Medicine Patent Database (WTMPD) was used to retrieve patents of the traditional medicines used in the treatment and prevention of alcoholic worldwide in the past 30 years. A total of 3 238 patents were further screened by a se-ries of processes. Finally, multi-angle analysis was carried on the dataset to form a patent analysis report on tradi-tional medicines used in alcoholism, including the distribution of the patents, the application trend, the domestic and foreign geographical layout, the major applicant and so on. From the analysis, we found that China had a rapid in-crease in the number of patent applications, which was in the leading role in the world, though the technology and the number of PCT applicant from China is relatively low. Puerariae Lobate radix and flos are frequently used in al-coholism patents.

Objective To investigate the levels and distribution of radon in dwellings in Shenzhen cities of China.Methods A total of 108 low-,multi-,middle-and high-rise buildings were selected.Indoor radon concentrations were measured by using solid track detector.Results The arithmetic mean of indoor radon concentrations in Shenzhen was 64 Bq/m3,and geometric mean was 58 Bq/m3,in range of 15 to 155 Bq/m3.The average indoor radon concentration in Bao'an district was 50 Bq/m3 with the lowest value,and that in Pingshan new district was 87 Bq/m3 with the highest value.There were 12 measuring points where indoor radon concentrations were higher than 100 Bq/m3 in Shenzhen,accounting for 11.1％ of the total number.Shapiro-Wilk test showed that the frequency distribution of indoor radon concentration in Shenzhen follows lognormal distribution (P ＞ 0.05).The indoor radon concentrations showed a downward trend from 1990 to 2015.The indoor radon concentration decreases with the elevated floors except 10th and above floors.Conclusions The indoor radon concentrations in Shenzhen increased by 35％,compared to the previous investigations.It is recommended that efforts continue to improve radioactive materials standards about building material and to enhance the natural ventilation in high-rise buildings in order to lower the radiation hazards from radon.
