Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2014;21(7):452-455
Neurally mediated syncope children have autonomic nervous system dysfunction.Ventricular late potentials is closely related to the autonomic nerve function and is an index for predicting the occurrence of malignant arrhythmia.Understanding the changes of ventricular late potentials have a certain value in predicting cardiovascular disease of neurally mediated syncope children.

Objective:To investigate the clinical value of serological test indicators in the identification of primary and metastatic liver cancers. Methods:We detected the serum levels of ALT, AST, ALP, TBIL, DBIL, GGT, CHE, 5'-NT, CA199, CEA, and AFP in primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC;120 cases), metastatic hepatic carcinoma (MHC;135 cases), and no liver metastatic control (135 cas-es) groups. The methods used were variance analysis and Scheffe test. ROC curve analysis was used to determine the diagnostic value of CA199 , CEA, and AFP in PHC and MHC. Results:The difference between the serum levels of AST, ALP, GGT, 5'-NT, AFP, and CEA of the PHC and MHC groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The AFP, CEA, and CA199 areas under the ROC curve of the PHC and MHC groups revealed that AFP diagnosis of primary liver cancer had certain accuracy, whereas CEA and CA199 have some diagnostic value in differentiating primary and metastatic liver cancers. Conclusion: The detection of serum levels of AST, GGT, 5'-NT, AFP, CA199, and CEA in malignant tumor was a preliminary diagnosis of liver metastasis and can provide evidence for the dif-ferential diagnosis of PHC and MHC.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of cisplatin enhanceing the effect of tineposide killing small cell lung cancer cell line by combination of the two drug. Methods The microculture tetrazolium(MTT) assay was used to determine the inhibition rates of CDDP combined with VM-26.Acridine orange/ethidium bromide(AO/EB) fluorescent staining was used to show the cell vitality rates,DNA disruption ladder were applied to reveal cell apoptosis. The mRNA and protein level of topoisomerase Ⅱ(Topo Ⅱ) and transcript factor SP1 were measured by semi-quantitative RT-PCR and western blot. Results There is synergistic effect between the two drug. The cell vitality rates were decreased in combination group than that of CDDP or VM-26 used alone.the combination treatment group resulted in more serious DNA strand breakage. The expression of Topo Ⅱ?,? and SP1 mRNA and protein both increased in CDDP treatment group, while the Topo Ⅱ?,? expression decreased and(the SP1 expression) has no obviously change in VM-26 treatment group. In combination group,Topo Ⅱ? expressionwere decreased comparing with CDDP used alone,SP1 expression increased comparing with VM-26 used alone, but has no obviously change as comparing with CDDP used alone. Conclusion CDDP could enhance Topo Ⅱ expression through up-regulating SP1 expression, which offer more target for Topo Ⅱ inhibitor VM-26 to act on killing small cell lung cancer cell.

Objective To investigate the expression of substance P ( SP) and neurokinin-1 recep-tor (NK1R) in patients with breast cancer and to further understand the correlations of them with the clinico-pathological features and the prognosis of breast cancer. Methods SP levels in serum samples and superna-tants of breast cell culture were measured by ELISA.The expression of total NK1R, full-length NK1R (NK1R-FL) and truncted NK1R (NK1R-Tr) in 82 patients with breast cancer and 30 patients with breast hyperplasia were detected by using immunohistochemistry and Western blot. Results The levels of SP in patients with breast cancer were higher than those in patients with breast hyperplasia and healthy subjects ( P<0.05) .The expression of NK1R-FL was inhibited, while the expression of NK1R-Tr was significantly en-hanced in breast cancer tissues as compared with those in normal and hyperplastic breast tissues (P<0.01). Compared with patients with ductal carcinoma in situ ( DCIS ) , patients with invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) showed a decreased expression of NK1R-FL, but an increased expression of NK1R-Tr (P<0.05). The stages of breast cancer classified by using the TNM system showed a negative correlation with NK1R-FL expression, but positive correlations with the expression of NK1R-Tr and SP (P<0.01).Moreover, the en-hanced expression of NK1R-Tr and SP and suppressed expression of NK1R-FL were positively related to lymph node metastasis and high expression of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) , human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 ( HER2) and Ki-67, but negatively related to the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) in breast cancer tissues (P<0.05).The expression of NK1R-FL and NK1R-Tr showed no significant correlation with age, histological grades and the expression of P53 in breast cancer tissues (P>0.05).Conclusion The invasion and metastasis of breast cancer showed a negative cor-relation with the expression of NK1R-FL, but a positive correlation with the expression of NK1R-Tr and SP.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a way to monitor drug-induced liver damage by using hospital centralized management system for monitoring ADR.METHODS:Using self-designed computer program, the data of inpatients with abnormal ALT,AST and TBIL,admitted in the period from Dec. 2001 to Feb. 2002,were extracted from hospital HIS system of databa_se,and ADR and irrational drug-use were retrospectively analysed.RESULTS:There were 50 ADR incidents concerned with 30 kinds of drug and 11 cases receiving irrational medication concerned 10 kinds of drug.CONCLUSION:By this way,we can timely get the information of drug-induced liver damage and set up a new way for developing centralized ADR monitoring in hospital.

Objective To study the effects of total saponins of Chaenomeles speciosa on release of β-hexosaminidase from rat basophilic leukemia-2H3 ( RBL-2H3 ) mast cells. Methods After rat RBL-2H3 mast cells were prepared, total saponins of Chaenomeles speciosa and the RBL-2H3 mast cells were co-cultured.The toxic effects of total saponins of Chaenomeles speciosa on mast cells were detected by MTT method, β-hexosaminidase release rate was measured by fluorescence quantitative spectrophotometric method, and cell supernatants of tumor necrosis factor-α( TNF-α) release were detected by ELISA. Results After total saponins of Chaenomeles speciosa were co-cultured with RBL-2H3 mast cells with different antigen stimulation, β-hexosaminidase release rates and the levels of TNF-α of mast cells significantly decreased compared with the control group. Conclusion Total saponins of Chaenomeles speciosa inhibit the degranulation of RBL-2H3 mast cells in a dose dependent manner, which provids basis for studying mechanism of inhibiting allergic reactions.
