Objective To explore the cognitive situation of health workers in dealing with public health emergencies. Methods 100 health personnel of infection management in Hongqi Hospital of Mudanjiang Medical College were selected in this study. Self-designed questionnaires according to the Public Health Emergencies Training Norms of Heilongjiang Province were used for relative analysis. Results The total cognition level was 18± 2.23 before training and 22±2.41 aftertraining, showing significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion The effective training could improve cognition level of health personnel and enable them to take effective methods in dealing with public health emergencies, so thus laying a good foundation for the further training.

Objective To evaluate the effects of 131I treatment for Graves hyperthyroidism patients with leucopenia and the alteration of WBC levels after treatment.Methods A total of 257 Graves hyperthyroidism cases were retrospectively studied after 131I treatment.Based on baseline WBC count,119 cases with WBC count ＜4.0 × 109/L before 131I treatment were diagnosed with leucopenia and 138 cases had normal WBC.There were no significant differences in age,weight of thyroid,131I uptake rate in 24 h,dose of 131I and course of the disease between the two groups (all t ＜ 0.972,all P ＞ 0.05).WBC,lymphocyte,neutrophil and platelet counts were recorded before and 1,3,6 and 12 months after 131I therapy.The therapeutic effects were graded as clinical cure,improvement,invalidation and hypothyroidism.Statistical analyses,including independent samples t test,x2 test and one-way analysis of variance,were performed using SPSS 13.0.Results The WBC levels in the leucopenia group were (3.49 ± 0.43) × 109/L,(4.06 ±0.98) × 109/L,(4.20 ±1.04) × 109/L,(4.37 ±0.93) × 109/L and (4.88 ± 1.20) × 109/L before 131I treatment and 1,3,6,12 months after 131I treatment,respectively; while,those in the normal WBC group were (5.70 ± 1.08) × 109/L,(5.50 ± 1.14) × 109/L,(5.74 ±0.99) × 109/L,(5.95 ± 1.14) × 109/L and (6.07 ± 1.17) × 109/L,respectively.There was no statistically significant difference of WBC levels before and 1 month after 131 I treatment (t =1.662,P ＞ 0.05) in the normal WBC group,but WBC levels at those timepoints were significantly different in the leucopenia group (t =3.816,P ＜ 0.05).In the leucopenia group,there was no significant change of lymphocytes before and after 131I treatment,while the average neutrophil count showed an increasing trend during the 1,3,6 and 12 months after 131I treatment (F =40.583,t:1.468-11.264,all P ＜ 0.05).The average platelet counts at 6 and 12 months after 131I treatment were (187.80 ± 36.03) × 109/L and (206.88 ± 26.04) × 109/L respectively,which were higher than that before 131I treatment (F =9.735,t =2.604,4.892,all P ＜0.05).In the normal WBC group,there were no statistical differences of WBC changes before and after 131I treatment except for a lower lymphocyte count at 1 month after 131I treatment than that at baseline ((1.79 ± 0.37) × 109/L vs (1.99 ±0.63) × 109/L;F =12.868,t =3.284,both P ＜ 0.05).The treatment effects of the two groups were not significantly different (x2 =0.739,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions 131I treatment presents similar therapeutic effects on Graves hyperthyroidism patients with leucopenia and those with normal WBC levels.WBC levels in patients with leucopenia may recover to baseline during the post-treatment follow-up.Thus 131I treatment is a safe and effective method for Graves hyperthyroidism patients with leucopenia.

Objective To investigate the effect ot ionizing radiation (IR) on the expressions of HMGB1 in the radiation-sensitive and radiation-resistant human cervical cancer cells and to analysis the role of HMGB1 in the regulation of radiosensitivity.Methods Human cervical cancer cells HeLa and its radioresistant strain HeLaR cells were irradiated with different doses of X-rays.The cells were collected at different time points after irradiation.The expressions of protein and mRNA of HMGB1 were detected by Western blot and real-time quantitative PCR.Results At the protein level,the expression of HMGB1 in HeLaR cells was significantly reduced at 6-36 h after 2,5 and 10 Gy X-ray irradiation (t =3.574-9.754,P ＜0.05),and then it was recovered to the control level at 48 h after IR.On the contrary,the expression of HMGB1 in HeLa cells was significantly increased at 6,12,48 h after 2 Gy IR (t =3.945-4.864,P＜0.05),at 6,36,48hafter5 GyIR (t=-2.875-3.295,P＜0.05),and at 36,48 h after 10 Gy IR (t =-4.480,-4.517,P ＜ 0.05).At mRNA level,the trend of HMGB1 expression alteration was consistent with that of protein expression.Conclusions The changes of HMGB1 expression can be differently induced by X-rays in the human cervical cancer radiation-sensitivity cells and radiation-resistant cells.HMGB1 may be involved in the radioresistance of human cervical cancer.

Objective To detect the levels of AKAP12 methylation by methylation‐specific high‐resolution melting curve(MS‐HRM ) in peripheral blood in patients with colorectal cancer and investigate its clinical significance .Methods We used MS‐HRM technology to detect the levels of AKAP12 methylation in peripheral blood in 60 lung cancer patients ,and analyzed the relationship between the levels of AKAP12 methylation and pathological parameters of lung cancer patients .Results 34(56 .7% ) of the 60 lung cancer patients were found to be methylated at the AKAP12 promoter region by MS‐HRM ,the methylation levels of 18 cases ranged between 1% -20% ,14 cases ranged between 20% -60% ,2 cases ranged between 60% -100% .There was no significant differences between the levels of AKAP12 methylation and lung cancer patients′age and gender(P>0 .05) .However ,it was signifi‐cantly higher in the patients with high pathological stage and differentiation degree (P<0 .05) .Conclusion AKAP12 promoter re‐gion methylation was related to tumor progression and malignant degree .

OBJECTIVE Toexploretheantidepressanteffectsofalbiflorinandtheinvolvementof hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical (HPA) axis function in its antidepressant potency.METHODS Two weeks after the olfactory bulbectomized (OB)surgery,albiflorin (2.5 ,5.0 ,10.0 mg·kg -1 ,ig) and imipramine 5.0 mg·kg -1 (ig)were given to rats twice a day for 14 d.The open-field test was con-ducted to evaluate the move ment distance,move ment ti me and velocity of olfactory bulbecto mized rats and sham-operated rats.The serum levels of corticosterone(CORT)and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)in rats were measured by the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.The expression levels of glucocorticoids receptor (GR)in the hippocampus of the rats were analyzed using Western blot proce-dures.RESULTS Comparedwithsham-operatedrats,movementdistance,movementtimeandveloci-ty of the OB rats were significantly increased (P<0.01 ).Albiflorin 1 0.0 mg·kg -1 significantly reduced the movement distance,movement time and velocity of OB rats (P<0.05)after being given for 7 d. The movement properties were significantly reduced by albiflorin 5.0 and 10.0 mg·kg -1 when given for 14 d (P<0.05).The OB rats demonstrated significantly increased levels of serum CORT and ACTH (P<0.01 )and decreased GR expression in the hippocampus (P<0.01 ).Albiflorin 2.5,5.0 and 10.0 mg·kg -1 significantly reduced the serum CORT and ACTH levels (P<0.05),while albiflorin 5.0 and10.0mg·kg-1increasedtheexpressionofhippocampalGR(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Albiflorin may have re markable behavioral antidepressant effects on olfactory rats and one of the related mecha-nis ms may be its regulation of the hyperactivity of HPA axis function.

Objective To establish neonate rate models induced by high-fat diet so as to explore the effect of high-fat diet before and during pregnancy on growth and serum insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) level in neonate offspring.Methods Forty female SD rats were divided into high-fat group and control group that were fed with 35％ high-fat diet and standard chow,respectively.After 8 weeks,8 rats from each group were euthanatized for liver pathology and the other female rats were mated with male rats and fed continuously with 35％ high-fat diet and standard chow throughout gestation,respectively.Offspring from both groups were studied within 24 hours after birth.Their birth weight and body length (from apex nasi to end of tail) were measured.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect serum IGF-1 level.Serum biochemical indexes were tested by biochemical analyzer.Liver pathologic changes were observed under the light microscope.The expression of IGF-1 in liver samples was detected by Western blot.Results 1.Rats in the high-fat group showed a significant less birth weight and shorter body length compared with those in the control group(all P ＜ 0.05).2.The level of serum IGF-1 of offspring in the high-fat group decreased by 20.1％ in comparison to offspring in the control group,but there was no significant difference between the 2 groups (P ＞ 0.05) because of the limited sample sizes.3.The aspartate transaminase(AST) of offspring in the high-fat group increased compared with those from control group(P ＜ 0.05),while other serum biochemical indexes between the 2 groups showed no significant differences(all P ＞0.05).4.Fatty degeneration could be found in livers of both dams and offspring in the high-fat group under light microscope,while the samples of both dams and offspring from the control group all showed normal.5.The IGF-1 expression in livers of offspring from high-fat group increased in comparison to that from control group(P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions A maternal high-fat diet before and during pregnancy decreases the birth weight and body length of offspring in utero,which may be associated with the decreased IGF-1.However,the pathogenesis of decreased IGF-1 in this study can not been found.Further study is needed to clarify the mechanism of intrauterine growth retardation induced by high-fat diet.

ObjecfiveTo investigate clinical features and imaging manifestation in patients with posterior reversible eneephalopathy syndrome (PRES) to improve its recognition.MethodsSix patients with PRES were enrolled,four women with history of end-stage renal disease,kidney transplantation,eclampsia,or systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and two men with history of chemotherapy or hypertension.All of them underwent multi-serial MR imaging (T1 WI,T2 WI,FLAIR) and post-contrast T1 WI.Three cases also underwent CT scan and gadolinium enhancement. ResultsAll the six cases of PRES had different inducing causes such as acute hypertension,preeclampsia or eclampsia, taking immunosuppressive agents or steroids.and their clinical symptoms were characterized by sudden occurrence of headache,eclampsia or seizure of epilepsy,altered melltal status,visual disturbances.Clinical symptoms were died out in about one week after prompt and appropriate treatments for high blood pressure.or removal of precipitating factors,or treatment for epileptic seizures or status epilepticus.MRI and CT scanning demonstrated multifocal subcortical white lesions in bilateral parieto-occipital lobes (six cases), bilateralfrontal lobes (two cases),bilateral post temporal lobes (two cases) and left cerebellum (one cases).and cortical involvement (two cases).All lesions appeared unenhanced with gadolinium enhancement. FoHow-up by MRI showed decreased abnormal signs and small infarct foci were left in the cortex-subeortex of one case.ConclusionsPRES is a clinico-neuroradiologieal transient condition, usually benign and reversible in nature.Completely clinical and radiographic recovery Can be achieved with prompt antihypertensive treatment or removal of precipitating factors and supportive care,but delayed diagnosis and therapy Can result in cerebral infarct with neurological sequelae.

Objective To summarize the clinical experience in treatment of the Lisfranc joint injury with open reduction and internal fixation at early stage. Methods Twelve patients ( including ten males and two females at average age of 34 years) with early stage Lisfranc joint injury received open reduction and screw/wire fixation from 2005 to 2010. According to the Myerson classification, there were two patients with type A, eight with type B and two with type C. All the patients received open reduction and internal fixation with screw or Kirschner wire within 17 days after injury. The post-operative function was estimated by mid-foot scoring scale of AOFAS. X-ray and CT scan were used in radiography estimation. Results All the patients were followed up for average 33 months ( range, 6-60 months). The mean score of post-operative mid-foot scoring scale of AOFAS was 74.5 points ( range, 53-96 points), with excellent result in eight patients, good in two and fair in two. The anatomical reduction was observed in eight patients and all the patients obtained bony union according to the results of X-ray and CT scan.There was no any complication found.Conclusions Open reduction and internal fixation is a good choice for the treatment of Lisfranc joint injury at early stage. A preoperative comprehensive analysis combined with clinical X-ray and CT scan is necessary.
