1.Practice of public bidding for hospital logistical service
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1998;0(11):-
The paper discusses the issues related to the author's institution's implementation of public bidding for its logistical service. Firstly the paper describes the methods and steps for public biddings: setting up a leading group, establishing a databank of talented personnel for bidding assessment, determining bidding items for trust management, defining the basis and principles for the winning of biddings, working out tender documents, doing a good job of the ideological work of the staff, publishing bidding advertisements, offering bidding consultations, holding meetings for public biddings, drafting contracts, and conducting management after engagements. Then the paper gives an account of how the institution managed to reduce its personnel by over 60 people, with the yearly expenditure for the washing of uniforms alone reduced by 50%.
2.Clinical observation on PCD and VAD regimens for multiple myeloma
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2014;(13):853-855
To compare the efficacy and adverse effects of bortezomib+cyclophosphamide+dexamethasone (PCD) and vincristine+adriamycin+dexamethasone (VAD) regimens in multiple myeloma (MM). Methods:A total of 41 patients with MM were analyzed retrospectively and divided into two groups according to their treatment protocols:PCD group (21 cases) and VAD group (20 cases). Clinical effects and adverse effects were observed in both groups. Patients accepted two to four cycles of PCD or VAD regi-mens. Results:In the PCD group, three patients achieved complete remission (CR), three patients had very good partial remission (VG-PR), three patients were under partial remission (PR), eight patients had stable disease status (SD), and four patients had progressive dis-ease (PD). In the VAD group, none achieved CR, one patient had VGPR, two patients were under PR, nine patients had SD status, and nine patients had PD. The rate of patients who achieved efficacy (CR+VGPR+PR) in the PCD group was 42.9%, which was higher than that of the VAD group (15.0%). The rate of newly diagnosed patients who achieved good efficacy (CR+VGPR) in the PCD group was 50%, which was higher than that of the VAD group (7.7%). The incidence of herpes infection, cytopenia, fatigue, and gastrointestinal symptoms was similar in the two groups, whereas the incidence of neurotoxicity in the PCD group was higher than that of the VAD group. Conclusion:The response rate of PCD is higher compared with that of conventional VAD chemotherapy, especially in newly di-agnosed MM. PCD may improve CR and VGPR rates and may bring about more severe toxicities, such as neuropathy.
3.Relevant factors analysis of the cranial cerebrospinal fluid volume
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2013;(5):28-30
Objective To study the relationship between the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) volume and intracranial measurement line in normal Chinese by useing CT data and computer technology. Methods By CT scan,to measure CSF volume and third ventricle maximum width, suprasellar cistern minimus width, lateral ventricle width in hypothalamic layer, caudate nucleus pitch and other index by age and gender in 178 normal adults. Results There were significant difference between male and female CSF volume in the groups of 14-20 years(23 cases),31-40 years(33 cases),41-50 years(32 cases) and > 60 years (13 cases)(P< 0.05 or < 0.01).The CSF volume between male and female had significant difference (t =3.302,P =0.001).The CSF volume and third ventricle maximum width had significant correlation (r =0.685).Conclusion The third ventricle maximum width is the most closely with CSF volume.
4.Effects of glucose on mesenchymal stem cell proliferation in mice
Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2008;16(10):625-628
Objective To investigate effects of glucose on mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) proliferation and the possible mechanism. Methods We evaluated the purity of MSCs,established different groups of glucose, detected proliferation by MTT, and analyzed cell cycle and apoptosis by a flow cytometry system. Results The purity of MSCs exceeded 90%.The positive rates of CD44, CD90, CD45, CD34 were 91.92%, 93.38%, 2.23%, 1.05% respectively.Glucose significantly affected MSCs proliferation(P=0.003):11 mmol/L glucose could promote MSCs proliferation, but 25 mmol/L glucose made this effect disappear. High glucose significantly increased the percent of S phase in cell cycle(P=0.002)and the rate of apoptosis(P=0.000). Conclusions Glucose has two-way regulation towards MSCs proliferation, and the balance between cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis could be responsible for this effects

6.Cellular and molecular mechanisms of electrical remodeling in cardiac ventricle after myocardial infarction
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2000;0(11):-
Arrhythmia is common in cardiovascular diseases, especially after myocardial infarction. This article reviews the electrophysiologic changes following myocardial infarction at different phases. Modulations of ion channel function that might contribute to electrical remodeling, such as cellular (autocrine/paracrine) factors and regulators of ion channel gene, are discussed. Unresolved problems in ventricular electrical remodeling after myocardial infarction are also considered.
7.The current situation of pharmaceutical research primary hospital
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2016;29(1):41-45,56
Objective To investigate the current situation of pharmaceutial research and influencing factors in primary hospitals located in Hangzhou Fuyang county. Methods A designed questionnaire was used collecting information from the pharmacists of six Fuyang city medical institutes. Results Among 156 valid questionnaires 54 (34.62%) pharmacists showed their interest in pharmaceutial research, however only 4 of them had the opportunity to participate or host such project. The top reason of interesting in research was that it would help in their job promotion and enhance their own value. We found that most of pharmacists thought that it is very difficulties to conduct research and it is not necessary to do so.The educational background was found to related with research interest with a statistical significance (P<0.001);and the difference in accomplishment was statistically significant among pharmacists (P<0.05).Conclusions Current status of research in primary hospital pharmacists is worrysome. The hospital administrators need to pay great attention to medical research, make efforts to develop and provide the excellent policy and technological platform to enhance the research activities of pharmacists.

China Medical Equipment 2014;(6):79-83
The high mortality of paraquat (PQ) poisonings is mainly due to the lack of effective treatments. The optimal method of extracorporeal removal of paraquat is often a matter of debate. Due to the lack of well-designed studies, we are often left with circumstantial evidence, and we must exercise our best clinical judgment as to whether extracorporeal paraquat removal is beneficial and if so, by what method. It is clear, however, that rapidity in paraquat removal is beneficial. Due to the urgent nature of treatment for paraquat poisoning, there may never be well-designed evidence-based studies to help guide us. In the meantime, we must continue to use less than ideal evidence and our own experience to guide our decision-making process. Most toxicologists recommend rapid initiation of charcoal haemoperfusion (CHP) to lower plasma PQ levels and to limit pulmonary and other organs uptake of PQ.
