Objective:To explore the influence of new labor standards on the indications in the birth process and the prognosis of mothers and infants.Methods:186 cases treated in our hospital from January,2015 to January,2016 were divided into the observation group (85 cases) and the control group (101 cases),the observation group received new labor standards, the control group adopt Friedman labor standards. The clinical indications, pregnant complications, pregnant outcome,neonatal-perinatal outcome were compared between two groups. Results:The cesarean delivery rate, number of using oxytocin, forceps delivery rate of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05);the duration time of both first and second stage of labor were obviously longer than those of the control group (P<0.05);the duration time of active phase, bleeding volume in birth process in both groups showed no statistical difference (P>0.05);there was no adverse maternal and infant events in both groups;the incidence rate of pregnancy complications, fetal distress in uterus, asphyxia neonatorum and neonatal body weight were of no statistical difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:The new labor standards prolong the duration time of birth and give women fully trial opportunities, could effectively reduce the rate of cesarean section, reduce the over intervention production.

Objective: Vascular dilation dysfunction has been linked with risk of cardiovascular disease. This study was undertaken to investigate the relationship between physical activity and vascular dilation function in healthy middle-aged adults to help explaining the effect of physical activity on preventing cardiovascular disease. Method: We recruited 91 healthy middle-aged adults to complete a serf-report 7-day physical activity recall questionnaire and an exam of brachial artery flow-mediated dilation(FMD) and Nitroglycerin-mediated dilation (NMD) detected by ultrasound. The relationship between physical activity level (PAL) and FMD and NMD were explored. Result: Physical activity showed a significant and positive relationship with the brachial artery FMD, even after adjustment for possible confounding factors (r=0.363, P<0.01). The group of high physical activity level had the highest FMD. The means of FMD (%) in low, moderate and high PAL groups were respectively 8.70%±3.93%,9.01%±3.22% and 12.38±5.67% with significant difference between individuals of low and high PAL and between moderate and high PAL group(P<0.01). The means of NMD (%) is 25.13%±6.52%,24.38%±5.44% and 29.50%±7.25% respectively (P> 0.05) and there was no significant difference among three groups. There was no positive relation between PAL and FMD in premenopausal females but in men and postmenopausal females. Although individuals of high PAL have the best FMD, the moderate PAL can also retard FMD decrease with ageing. Conclusion: Maintaining high physical activity level can enhance endothelial-dependent vascular dilation, and moderate or high physical activity level can prevent endothelial-dependent vaseular dilation declining with aging, which may contribute to decrease risk of cardiovascular disease in healthy middle-aged adults.

AIM: To explore the effect of atorvastatin on the expression of α-SMA and TGF-β1 in the adventi-tia of ApoE-/-mice with atherosclerosis, and to investigate the underlying mechanism of atorvastatin therapy.METHODS:Male ApoE-/-mice (n =40) at 6-weeks of age were used to establish the atherosclerosis model by feeding with high fat diet. The mice were randomly divided into model group and atorvastatin group. In atorvastatin group, the mice were lavaged with atorvastatin at dose of 20 mg? kg-1? d-1 .The mice in model group were given normal saline.C57BL/6 mice of the same age served as control group, feeding with ordinary food. The mice were respectively sacrificed at the time points of 10 and 15 weeks after feeding with different diets. The ascending aorta was removed for serial sectioning. Some sections were per-formed with Movat staining in order to observe the morphological changes of the tissues, and to measure the relative athero-sclerotic plaque area and the thickness of the adventitia. Some sections were stained with Sirius red to identify the collagen synthesis.Immunohistochemistry assay was prepared to observe the expression of α-SMA and TGF-β1 in the adventitia at different time points. The expression of TGF-β1 at mRNA and protein levels in the thoracoabdominal aorta was measured by RT-qPCR and Western blot.RESULTS: Compared with model group, the formation of plaque in atorvastatin group signifi-cantly descended.Meanwhile the adventitial thickness and collagen synthesis also decreased. The results of immunohisto-
chemical staining showed that compared with 10 weeks-model group, α-SMA and TGF-β1 in 15 weeks-model group was in-creased.The expression of α-SMA and TGF-β1 in atorvastatin group decreased significantly compared with model group. The expression of TGF-β1 at mRNA and protein levels in model group were higher than those in control group. They de-creased in atorvastatin group compared with model group.Compared with 10 weeks-model group, the mRNA and protein of TGF-β1 in 15 weeks-model group were increased.CONCLUSION: Atorvastatin modulates adventitial fibroblast phenotype differentiation by suppressing expression of TGF-β1 and intervenes atherosclerotic development in ApoE.

Objective To induce a novel temperate bacteriophage from staphylococcus haemolyticus strain SA98,observe the morphology and size, complete the whole genome sequencing, analyse the structure of genome and evolutionary relationship. Methods The mitomycin C was used to induce the temperate phage from staphylococcushaemolyticus strain SA98,the induced phage was observed by transmission electron microscopy after be concentrated and purified. The genome DNA was extracted and high through sequenced. The feature of whole genome and evolutionary relationship was analyzed. Results A temperate phage IME-SA4 was successfully induced from staphylococcus haemolyticus strain SA98.Transmission electron microscopy analysis indicated that IME-SA4 had an isometric head and a non-contractile long tail. The whole genome of IME-SA4 was long as 41 843 bp,and the whole genome blast result indicated IME-SA4 shared only 13% homology with most related strain phiRS7.Conclusions A novel staphylococcus haemolyticus temperate phage with low homology with other staphylococcusphages was successfully induced from staphylococcus haemolyticus strain SA98.The research of its morphology, whole genome sequencing and comparative genome analysis make the foundation for further study of staphylococcus phages' properties and practical application.
