Objective: To study the effect of ipilimumab on T lymphocytes and Bcl-2 mRNA expression in lung cancer-bearing mice by inhibiting TGF-β1/ERK signaling pathway. Methods: Forty-five C57 mices inoculated with Lewis lung cancer cells were randomly divided into control group, low dose ipilimumab group and high dose ipilimumab group with 15 mice in each. The low and high dose groups were given 3 mg/kg and 5 mg/kg ipilimumab respectively, while the control group was given 0.9% sodium chloride solution with the same volume. The effects of ipilimumab on TGF-β1/ERK signaling pathway, Bcl-2 mRNA expression, immune function improvement and tumor inhibition in three groups were detected by WB and qPCR. Results: After administration of ipilimumab, the tumor weight and volume of mice in low-dose and high-dose groups were significantly lower than that of the control group, and the tumor inhibition rate increased in a dose-dependent manner (P<0.05). The thymus index and spleen index of mice were significantly higher than that of control group, which also increased in a dose-dependent manner (P<0.05). The levels of CD3+, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ cells in the high and low dose groups were significantly higher than those in the control group, with significantly higher levels in high dose group compared with the low dose group (P<0.05). The levels of serum inflammatory factors were significantly lower than those in control group, and the levels of serum TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-3 in the high dose group were significantly lower than those in the low dose group (P<0.05). The expressions of TGF-β1, ERK1/2, p-ERK1/2 and MEK in tumor tissues of both high and low dose groups significantly decreased, with more lower levels in high dose group than in low dose groups (all P<0.05), and the positive rate of TGF-β1 expression in high dose group was the lowest. The mRNAexpression of Bcl-2 in tumor tissues of high and low dose groups decreased significantly after drug administration, with a significantly lower level in high does group than that in low dose group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Ipilimumab can effectively inhibit TGF-β1/ERK signaling pathway, improve immune function and down-regulate the expression of Bcl-2, thus inhibit the growth of Lewis lung cancer cells and play an antitumor role in mice.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(12):1138-1139
Human myiasis is caused by the parasitic maggots of flies. We report a case of nasal myiasis in a 37-year-old woman in Henan. The patient presented with nasal foreign-body sensation, nansal itching sneezing, snuffle and such allergic symptoms in nasal cavity. Based on maggots that were bowed from the right nasal cavity, a detailed endoscopic examination, sinus CT scan and identification of the maggot's species done by parapsychologists of the parasitology teaching and reseach section of the Zhengzhou University School of Medicine, the diagnosis of human nasal infestation by oestrus ovis was definited.

Objective To study a graft method of an acellular dermis composited with cultured human keratinocyte sheets, and investigate the outcomes of the composite graft on full-thickness wounds. Methods Using porcine skins,we prepared the acellular dermis and cultured human keratinocyte sheets in vitro.Athymic null mice were divided into the experimental group and the control group, the acellular xeno-dermis was implanted into the subcutaneous of the dorsal skin in experimental group, one week after the implantation the cultured keratinocyte sheets were grafted on the full-thickness defective area of the dorsal skin in the experimental group,in control group only implanted human keratinocyte sheet on the defective area wound, healing status was regular assessed, and biopsies for histological analysis and immunohistochemistry test were performed in post-operation.Results Compared with the control group, the appearance of wound coverage in the experimental group was better. Moreover, the histologic analysis revealed that fully differentiated epidermis, organized proliferated collagen fibers and significant reconstruction of epidermis-dermis junction were seen in the experimental group which lack of the acute immuno-rejection response. Conclusion As a kind of dermal substitutes, the acellular xeno-dermis can be compositely transplanted with cultured human keratinocyte sheet and can improve the quality of wound healing.

Objective:To study the mechanical properties of a new titanium alloy with lower elastic modulus for prosthodontic use. Methods:Samples of a newly developed Ti-Nb-Zr-Sn alloy with low elastic modulus were prepared. The microstructure, microhardness profile of the specimen cross section were measured by microhardness test meter and metallurgical microscope. Results:The data of the tensile strength(MPa),yield strength(MPa),elongation(%),elastic modulus(GPa) and microhardness(Hv)of Ti-Nb-Zr-Sn alloy were 681.7,410,6,42.1 and 453 respectively. The microstructure was with fine crystal grains. Conclusion: The microstructure and microhardness profile of the Ti-Nb-Zr-Sn alloy may meet the requirement for dental applications.
