Objective To investigate the expression of podoplanin,?-catenin and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-3(VEGFR-3) in lymphatic vessels of human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) tissue and the normal tissues adjacent to the carcinoma, and explore the markers which can specifically show the lymphatics with metastasis. Methods 63 surgical specimens of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and 20 normal tissue specimens were obtained and examined.Immunohisochemical measures were employed to detect the expressions of podoplanin,?-catenin and VEGFR-3.The difference in expression of VEGFR-3 between ESCC tissue with lymphatic metastasis and the tissue without metastasis was statistically assessed. The lymphatic microvessel density(LMVD) positively stained by podoplanin was observed and counted under microscope with ?200 magnification. Results Based on the morphological characters of lymphatic vessels and capillary vessels observed under microscope,it was confirmed that podoplanin(positively stained as yellow-brownish discontinuous lines) expressed only on the cellular membrane of endothelial cells of lymphatic and microlymphatic vessels.VEGFR-3 was positively expressed in the endothelial cells of lymphatic vessels as well as vessel wall and the cytoplasm of carcinoma cell. There existed a significant difference in VEGFR-3 expression between the ESCC tissue with lymphatic metastasis and the tissue without metastasis, and the positive rate was 68.57% and 28.00%,respectively(P

5 000 respectively. Results Among 2 175 cases with clonorchis eggs, 1 244 cases showed clinical complications (57.2%). The average EPG in 61 cases counted was 3 055, 34 (55.7%) showed medium or heavy intensity of infection. The cases distributed in 80% of the townships, more concentrated in 2 towns and 1 farm. The patients aged between 3 to 76 years old with a ratio of male to female 3.6 ∶ 1. 45.5% of the cases were farmers. 1 308 cases (60.1%) were Zhuang Minority. The number of cases seeking medical treatment increases year by year since mid-1980s. 66.0% of the cases had a habit of raw fish-eating. Conclusion Clonorchiasis sinensis widely distributes in Guigang City, number of cases admitted in hospitals increases yearly.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(8):1209-20
The applications of targeting gene delivery systems in tumor therapy have attracted extensive attention of researchers in recent years, as they can selectively deliver the therapeutic gene to tumor sites, improve the success rate of gene therapy and reduce the side effects. Therefore, design and development of novel gene delivery vehicles have been a hot area of current research. Recent studies have shown that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have the ability to migrate towards and engraft into the tumor sites. Therefore, these properties make them a great hope for efficient targeted-delivery vehicles in cancer gene therapy. In this review, we examine the promising of utilization of MSCs as a targeted-delivery vehicle for cancer gene therapy, and summarize various challenges and concerns regarding this therapy.

Objective To explore the feasibility of application of data mining in the study on selection and specificity of acupoints. Methods The ancient and modern prescription data of acupuncture treating migraine and functional dyspepsia were regarded as sample data. Database techniques and natural language processing techniques were introduced to structurize and standardize acupuncture prescription data. Based on association rule data mining, the self-developed Acupuncture Data Mining System was applied to discover the rules of selection of acupoints. Results There were collected 634 and 386 prescriptions of acupuncture treating migraine and functional dyspepsia respectively. In the prescriptions treating migraine, acupoints distributed on Gallbladder meridian and Triple Energizer meridian accounted for 40.5% and 50.6% in ancient time and modern time respectively, and specific points accounted for 84.0% and 82.8% in ancient time and modern time respectively. In the prescriptions treating functional dyspepsia, acupoints distributed on Conception vessel, Bladder meridian and Stomach meridian accounted for 62.1% and 75.7% in ancient time and modern time respectively, and specific points accounted for 70.0% and 83.3% in ancient time and modern time respectively. Conclusion The result of data mining proves that the rule of selection of acupoints is "selecting acupoints along the affected meridian" and "mostly selecting specific points", and the specificity of acupoints is "where the meridian goes, where the qi accumulates".

OBJECTIVE:To explore the situation of anti-cold compound preparations for children, and provide reference for clinical rational drug use. METHODS:The drug instructions of anti-cold compound preparations for children were collected from our hospital and analyzed statistically in recpects of drug components, specifications, formulations and dosages of those prepara-tions;typical irrational prescriptions from Jan. to May 2015 were also analyzed. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:40 kinds of an-ti-cold compound preparations for children were currently used in our hospital, including 14 chemical drugs and 26 Chinese medi-cine,in which,15 were not specified in the drug instructions for pediatric dosage (accounting for 37.5%). Anti-cold compound preparations had many kinds, varied largely in specifications and dosages. The children with same constitution and age take differ-ent drugs according to the drug instructions, the dosages of the same component are greatly different, the child dosages in the drug instructions need to be further improved. There are problems of irrational drug use in our hospital, such as repeated medication, medicine incompatibility,in appropriate dose.

Objective To investigate the effect of electromyographic biofeedback motion sensing game on upper limb function in chil-dren with obstetric brachial plexus palsy (OBPP). Methods From March, 2013 to February, 2014, 41 children with OBPP were randomly as-signed into conventional rehabilitation group (n=21) and motion sensing game group (n=20). Both groups underwent a comprehensive course of rehabilitation, and the motion sensing game group received upper limb occupational therapy in the motion sensing game, for four weeks. They were assessed with Mallet shoulder function scale and the surface electromyogram (EMG) of the deltoid muscle when abduct-ing the shoulder before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the Mallet scores between two groups (t=0.730, P>0.05), the scores improved after treatment in both groups (t>5.085, P<0.05), and the scores after treatment and the D-val-ue scores before and after treatment were higher in the motion sensing game group than in the conventional rehabilitation group (t>3.195, P<0.01). The integral EMG (iEMG) value, average EMG (aEMG) value and maximum EMG (EMGmax) value of the deltoid muscle improved in the motion sensing game group after treatment (t>4.420, P<0.05), however, only aEMG and iEMG improved in the conventional rehabili-tation group (t>2.282, P<0.05). All of them after treatment and the D-value were higher in the motion sensing game group than in the con-ventional rehabilitation group (t>2.155, P<0.05). Conclusion Electromyographic biofeedback motion sensing game therapy plays a role in the rehabilitation of upper limb function and muscle strength in children with OBPP.
