Objective To summarize the clinical characteristics of necrotizing pneumococcal pneu-monia in childhood,so as to estimate the prognosis and guide the therapy. Methods We retrospectively col-lected and analyzed the data of 15 necrotizing pneumococcal pneumonia cases hospitalized in the pediatric de-partment of Shengjing Hospital from January 2008 to April 2011. The clinical features and treatment outcomes were analyzed,which included sex, age, maximum body temperature, hospital stay, duration of fever, white blood cell count and C-reactive protein level. Fifteen strains of the clinical isolated streptococcus were ana-lyzed antimicrobial susceptibility test with the disk diffusion procedure,and eleven strains of them were ana-lyzed by with minimal inhibitory concentrations. Results All of 15 cases had fever and pleural effusion,1 case with extrapulmonary manifestations. In chest X-ray and CT scanning,the lesion location were on the left in 7 cases,on the right in 7 cases,bilateral in 1 case. All patients had increased white blood cell count and C-reactive protein. Fifteen strains of streptococcus pneumoniae were collected from clinic samples,which had high sensitivity to vancomycin,linezolid,rifampicin,levofloxacin,no resistant strains appeared. We observed that the resistant rates of streptococcus pneumoniae to penicillin was 7/15,and to erythromycin and clindamy-cin were 11/11 and 10/11. The average length of stay in hospital was 39 d and no death occurred during the hospitalization. Conclusion The treatment of necrotizing pneumococcal pneumonia in childhood usually takes a longer time,and patients always have obvious symptoms. The drug-resisting of streptococcus pneu-moniae are serious,and children with necrotizing pneumococcal pneumonia are easily complicated by pleural effusion. But through active treatment,the prognosis is good.

Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease.Atherosclerotic plaque rupture and thrombosis may result in cardio-cerebrovascular events.Inflammatory mediator CD40L widely exists in cells associated with atherosclerosis.They participate in plaque inflammatory response,release proinflammatory cytokines,degrade extracellular matrix,improve procoagulant activity,and promote the progression of atherosclerosis and plaque vulnerability.Intervening CD40/CD40L signaling system may become an effective treatment strategy to slow the progress of atherosclerosis and stabilize atherosclerotic plaques.

OBJECTIVE: Simulateous determination of ten psychosedatives in serum was made to help doctors make effective rescue. METHOD: The qualitative separation was done by TLC. The quantitative determination was made by TLC scanning. RESULTS: Ten psychosedatives were separated very well by one mobile phase. The recovery, accuracy and stability of TLC scanning on varied wave-lengths were satisfatory. CONCLUSION: This method is simple, rapid, and accurate. It can be used in poison analysis and therapeutic drug monitoring.

Methods:a variety of portable devices physiological data were collected to transmit to the remote health monitoring platform, making the service with strong mobility for home care, postoperative care and patient care whenever and wherever needed to provide the best care service model, so that medical and health care is no longer subject to the constraints of time, hospitals and other fixed places. Results: Through a variety of wireless transmission technology and the intelligent terminal and regional health data center, it can be further mining, analysis and storage for the data information, and provide diagnostic advice. It can effectively alleviate the tension of medical resources. Conclusion:The establishment of remote health monitoring platform can alert doctors and relatives when data is abnormal to win time for rescue. It can effectively manage the disease treatment, prevention and rehabilitation.

Objective To analyze the relationship between clinical features of infantile cough after infection and microelements in peripheral blood, and to observe the therapeutic of treating this cough with Milkvetch Root and Radix Glycyrrhizae. Methods 75 infantile patients were randomly recruited into a therapeutic group and a reference group. 39 patients in the therapeutic group were treated with Huangqi Zhusheye and Tablete Glycyrrhiza, while 36 patients in the reference group were treated with Azithromycin. The therapeutic effects were evaluated after the treatment. Meanwhile,microelements in peripheral blood of the 75 patients were assayed and made a contrast to 40 healthy children. Results The contents of Fe, Zn, and Mg in peripheral blood of the 75 patients dropped on different levels, comparing to the healthy children.The therapeutic effects of the therapeutic group was much better than the reference group with significant difference (P＜0.05).Liver and renal functional lesion was unseen in both groups after the treatment. Conclusion Infantile past-infection cough may related with the decrease of Mg, Fe, and Zn. Combined usage of Milkvetch Root and Radix Glycyrrhizae clinically has good therapeutic effects to this disease.

Objectives In order to further investigate the biological characteristics and the developmental mechanisms of laterally spreading tumor, a cell line from the primary culture of human colon LST tissue was isolated. After 70 passages, we identified the cells by morphologic, genetic and immunohistochemistry analysis. Results (1) The origin of LST cells is epithelial, and the majority of which were multiform epithelial cells. It displayed an approximately similar growth characteristics of tumor cells. The nest corpus doubling time was 36 hours. (2) The number of chromosome is 42-66. Eighty-five percent of chromosomes were triploid, showing abnormal karyotypes. (3) Immunohistochemistry showed that ESA and CK20 were expressed. (4) The ultrastructure of LST was almost the same as that of a tumor cell. Conclusion A novel LST cell line has been established and named as LST-R1. It facilitates further study of the biological characteristics of LST cells and the development of colon cancer.

Objective To test and evaluate the lung function of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD),and to explore the correlation and characteristics between IBD and abnormal lung function.Methods From January 2012 to June 2013,74 hospitalized patients with IBD were collected,among them 34 cases were ulcerative colitis (UC) and 40 cases were Crohn's disease (CD).At the same period,74 healthy individuals were enrolled as controls.The database of history was established.The general state,chemical examinations,lung function,chest X-ray,the diagnosis and treatment were statistically analyzed separately.T test was performed for comparison between groups of measurement data,chi square test was for comparison between groups of count data,rank-sum test was for comparison between groups of ordinal data,and Logistic regression was for multivariate analysis.Results Among the 74 patients with IBD,56 patients (75.68％) were found with abnormal lung function.The percentage of abnormal residual volume of IBD and CD group was 51.35％(38/74) and 60.00％(24/40),which were higher than that of control group [31.08％ (23/74)] and the differences were statistically significant (t=-2.557,P=0.013; t=2.236,P=0.031).There were no significant difference between UC and CD group (P＞0.05).There was no significant correlation between abnormal pulmonary function and the severity of IBD (F=0.744,P=0.690) or extent of lesion (F-2.796,P=0.424).The course of disease ≥five years was a possible protecitive actor (OR=0.824,95％CI:0.687-0.987),and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) was a possible risk factor (OR=1.093,95％CI:0.994-1.202).Conclusions Most IBD patients are complicated with impaired lung function.It might occur regardless of severity or extent of disease.Course of the disease and ESR may he the influence factors in abnormal lung function.

Objective: For information collection and processing problems currently existing hospital medical equipment management, we design a system design scheme based on RFID technology to achieve the implementation of intelligent management and data processing. Methods:RFID technology is through the electronic tag, reader, the application software system to accomplish the working process of the RFID system. Results:System design scheme can realize comprehensive monitoring and management of hospital medical equipment;realize information management of hospital equipment. Conclusion:The advantage and the use value of RFID technology will change management mode of medical equipment, and bring new opportunities and challenges to the medical equipment management.

Objective:In view of the present hospital medical equipment management problems, we designed a management information system based on RFID. It implements the medical equipment's scientific, standardized, intelligent management objectives.Methods: By optimizing the work flow, improve the regulatory system, the introduction of information management and other means, using RFID technology to complete the full cycle of intelligent management of medical devices.Results: A design scheme of the system can realize a full range of monitoring and management of medical equipment planning, procurement, storage, supply, maintenance and other work of the organization and management.Conclusion: Advantages and use of RFID technology management system will certainly change management mode of medical equipment, and adapt hospital equipment management to the hospital medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and other work, become an important task of informative hospital.
