Objective To discusses the clinical features of early inflammatory bowel obstruction (EPIS-BO) after abdominal surgery, and analyze diagnosis and treatment. Methods The clinical data of 48 patients with early inflammatory bowel obstruction after abdominal surgery were analyzed retrospectively from July 2005 to July 2015. Results 45 patients were recovered after non-operative treatment including gastrointestinal decompression , total parenteral nutrition (TPN),antibiotics, glucocorticoid and somatostatin. The average time of treatment was 17.45 days. The other 3 patients underwent laparotomy respectively on 16,19 and 20 days after conservative treat-ment.Two cases were turned to intestinal fistula after operation ,and one of them died after reoperation because of severe abdominal infection 9 days later. Conclusion Conservative treatment should be regarded as the first choice for EPISBO in clinical practice due to less complications and better effect than operative treatment.

OBJECTIVETo explore the myeloid-derived suppressor cell (MDSC) expression in the peripheral blood and lesions of 4NQO-induced tongue carcinoma in mouse.
METHODSThe established 4NQO mouse model was used to analyze the distribution of MDSC and T cell subsets in the peripheral blood by flow cytometry. The relations of MDSC with T cell subsets and CD4⁺/CD8⁺ changes were evaluated. The distribution of MDSC in the lesions of tongues was analyzed by immu- nohistochemistry, and the expression of arginase 1 (ARG-1) in tongue tissues was detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction.
RESULTSDuring tumor progression, a significant increase was observed in the frequency of MDSC in the peripheral blood of 4NQO treated mice (P < 0.01). The frequency of MDSC was positively correlated with systemic CD3⁺CD8+T cells but negatively correlated with the CD4⁺/CD8⁺ ratio. Squamous cell carcinomas were extensively infiltrated with MDSC, whereas dysplastic area and normal tongue mucosa had only sparse MDSC infiltration. The majority of MDSCs were located in the stroma, particularly along the tumor invasive front. Moreover, 4NQO-treated mice showed significantly higher ARG-1 mRNA levels in the tumor site (P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONMDSC may contribute to oral tumor progression and represents a potential target for immunotherapy of oral cancer.

(P < 0.05 ).Scanning electron microscopy showed that the three-dimensional structure of mix-biofilm in control group was more complex. As real-time PCR showed, after 6-hour culture, the expressions of icaA,fbe,aap,hwp1, als3 and efg1 genes in Farnesol group were down-regulated compared to those in control group and after 24-hour culture the expressions of aap,hwp1,als3 and efg1 genes in Farnesol group were down-regulated compared to those in control group. Conclusion With the intervention by fungal quorum sensing molecules Farnesol, the structure in control group became denser and more complex than that in Farnesol group. This change may have a closer correlation with the down-regulated expressions of als3,hwp1 and efg1 genes, which are related to the formation of Candida albicans biofilms.

BACKGROUND:The design and communication of cosmetic operation is more refined than that of traumatic operation. Thus, more accurate data should be acquired and more precise three-dimensional models should be reconstructed.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the prospect of 3D laser scanner and matched graphics-processing software which acquire and analyze facial morphological data in the modern cosmetic surgery.
METHODS: We obtained the point clouds of the facial surface in two cases of facial soft tissue defects or dissatisfied facial appearance using a hand-held laser scanner to reconstruct a visualized facial model, which was used for measurement of facial profile, simulation of cosmetic operation and evaluation of the therapeutic effects.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:We simulated and designed upon the NURBS model before the operation primarily. Then the three-dimensional comparison was done between the simulate model and the postoperative model. Deviation analysis showed that the ratio of variation degree of the two models within 1 mm was more than 80%. It enables the rapid three-dimensional reconstruction of the facial surface by the combination of reverse engineering and laser scanning, thus providing accurate three-dimensional data for cosmetic design and quantitative evaluation of therapeutic effects in cosmetic surgery.
8.Inflammation-relevant mechanisms for postoperative cognitive dysfunction and the preventive strategy
Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2017;42(11):1321-1326
Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is thought to be a mild cognitive disorder. It means that patients without cognitive diseases before surgery suffer from subtle changes in psychomotility, personality, social skills and cognitive function after the surgery.A decline in memory is the core characteristics of these symptoms.POCD is mainly seen in the elderly people following surgery. It can prolong hospital stay, reduce quality of life, increase mortality, and thus aggravate the burden of public health. It is urgent to take precautions to reduce the incidence. The precise mechanism of POCD remains unclear.Previous studies have shown that inflammation plays an important role in it.Sterile surgery can result in peripheral inflammation.Through several pathways, the signals from the peripheral immune response were sent to central system.Due to the individual difference, the degree of the central neuroinflammation was also heterogeneous. Some inflammations may lead to the occurrence of POCD.In order to prevent POCD,we should focus on the anti-inflammatory therapy.

Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2021;37(1):68-72
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the main cause of severe visual impairment in diabetic patients. Most of the existing treatments are aimed at patients with intermediate and advanced stages of vision impairment, and are invasive treatments with limited effects. Therefore, it is urgent for non-invasive new therapies and new targets to prevent the risk of DR or delay the progress of DR. Early optimization of metabolic therapies, which are strict control of blood glucose, blood pressure and blood lipid in the early stage of diabetes, may prevent or improve potential and reversible microangiopathy, however, there is still a lack of comprehensive and effective drug targeted therapy and unified clinical application standards. Therefore, this study summarizes the application of new hypoglycemic drugs and some antihypertensive and lipid-lowering drugs in the prevention and treatment of DR in recent years, in order to provide some reference for the clinical early prevention and treatment of this disease.

Objective To analyze the imaging characteristics of lung cancer detected by LDCT ( low-dose CT )lung cancer screening. Methods Between July 1st, 2007 and June 30th, 2013, 7 141 asymptomatic enrolled participants aged 40-88 years old (male 4 710, female 2 431, median age 47), and 1 071 volunteer participants aged ≤39 underwent chest LDCT. The imaging characteristics were analyzed retrospectively in lung cancer pathologically proved. Three types were classified according to the imaging findings: solid lesion, part-solid lesion and non-solid lesion. Results A total of 31 participants (32 lesions) were diagnosed as lung cancer, including 30 adenocarcinomas, 1 carcinoid and 1 small cell lung cancer. The detecting rate of the lung cancer was 0.4%(31/8 212). The solid lesion was further classified as classical solid nodule, irregular solid lesion and atypical solid nodule, and the part-solid lesion was further classified as part-solid nodule, irregular part-solid lesion and cystic part-solid nodule. Lung cancer or probably lung cancer was diagnosed in 24 cases (77.4%), and uncertainty diagnosis was made in 3 cases (9.7%). Benign or probably benign was diagnosed in 3 cases, and another 1 cases were missed at baseline screening. The false positive rate and the false negative rate was 9.7%and 3.1%, respectively. Conclusion The imaging characteristics of lung cancer detected by LDCT are varied, which provide preliminary experience in lung cancer screening.
