Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2012;11(10):1051-1053
Multimedia teaching was not often used in pediatric surgery teaching in department of pediatrics. We used multimedia courseware to assist teaching in clinical teaching for 2007 grade seven-year-program students in Chongqing medical university. Results showed that this method improved students' learning enthusiasm, initiative and interests and laid a good foundation for the smooth development of their clinical practice.

Objective To study the expression of Survivin in breast carcinoma combined with prognosis of ten-year follow-up.Methods The expression of Survivin was investigated by immunohistochemistry in 60 cases of breast cancer and 20 tumor surrounding tissue. All the cases were performed with prognosis of tenyear follow-up.Results The expression rate of Survivin in breast carcinoma(68.3%)was higher than that in fibroadenoma of bast tissue(25%)(χ2=20.03,P<0.01).Survivin didn't experss in tumor surrounding tissue. There Was no relationship among the expression of Survivin and the histological differentiation, clinical staging, and lymph node metastasis of breast carcinoma. The expression of Survivin was correlated with the survival years of patients. Conclusion The expression of Survivin was up-regulated in breast carcinoma, which indicated that survivin may play an important role of the genesis and development of breast cancer, but it may play negative correlated with breast carcinoma.

Objective To explore the application of case based learning(CBL)combined with multimedia teaching in the clinical pediatric surgery. Methods 144 five-year program students of Pediatrics in grade 2009 were randomly and evenly divided into the experimental group using CBL with multimedia teaching, and the control group using multimedia teaching mode. After the end of the course the students of the two groups took clinical teaching knowledge test. The evaluation scores were shown by mean ± standard deviation and comparison was made between the two groups with t test.At the same time, teaching satisfaction survey was conducted among the students of the experimental group. Results The usual results, the theoretical scores and total scores of the students in the experimental group were higher than those of the control group students in the operation skills, clinical thinking, and there was statistically significant difference in P<0.01.(P=0.003,P=0.002,P=0.008,P=0.009,P=0.008).The questionnaire survey shows that compared with traditional multimedia teaching,CBL combined with multimedia teaching can preferably culture students' various abilities and is beneficial to learning.Condusion The use of CBL combined with multimedia teaching can affirmatively improve the clinical teaching effect in the clinical pediatric surgery, and it deserves to be generalized in the future teaching.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of superparamagnetic chitosan FGF-2 gelatin microspheres (SPCFGM) on the proliferation and differentiation of mouse mesenchymal stem cells. The superparamagnetic iron oxide chitosan nanoparticles (SPIOCNs) were synthesized by means of chemical co-precipitation, combined with FGF-2. Then The SPCFGM and superparamagnetic chitosan gelatin microspheres (SPCGM) were prepared by means of crosslinking-emulsion. The properties of SPCFGM and SPIONs were measured by laser diffraction particle size analyser and transmisson electron microscopy. The SPCFGM were measured for drug loading capacity, encapsulation efficiency and release pharmaceutical properties in vitro. The C3H10 cells were grouped according to the different ingredients being added to the culture medium: SPCFGM group, SPCGM group and DMEM as control group. Cell apoptosis was analyzed by DAPI staining. The protein expression level of FGF-2 was determined by Western blot. The proliferation activity and cell cycle phase of C3H10 were examined by CCK8 and flow cytometry. The results demonstrated that both of the SPIOCNs and SPCFGM were exhibited structure of spherical crystallization with a diameter of (25 ± 9) nm and (140 ± 12) μm, respectively. There were no apoptosis cells in the three group cells. Both the protein expression level of FGF-2 and cell proliferation activity increased significantly in the SPCFGM group cells (P < 0.05). The SPCFGM is successfully constructed and it can controlled-release FGF-2, remained the biological activity of FGF-2, which can promote proliferation activity of C3H10 cells, and are non-toxic to the cell.

Objective To study the safety and efficacy of fast track program in anorectal surgery perioperative period. Methods One hundred and sixty-nine cases of rectal cancer were divided into the study group of 86 patients with fast track program, and the control group of 83 patients with traditional programs by random digits table. Both groups were compared from the time out of bed, the first intestinal discharge time, intravenous fluids stopping time, length of hospital stay, total cost of treatment and the incidence of postoperative complications. Results The study group compared with the control group: the first intestinal discharge time [(33.6 ± 12.9) h vs. (81.7 ± 20.1) h], intravenous fluids stopping time [(4.5 ±1.3) d vs.(7.4 ± 1.6) d],and length of hospital stay [(5.6 ± 1.2) d vs.(8.9 ±2.7) d],the total cost of treatment [(15 000 ± 3000) yuan vs. (16 000 ± 4000) yuan], the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.01 or < 0.05),and had less incidence of postoperative complications in study group than that in control group [5.8% (5/86) vs. 16.9% (14/83)], the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusions Fast track program in anorectal surgery perioperative period is safe and effective, beneficial, conducive to rehabilitation of patients.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2009;37(7):1092-1096
The gold hollow nanospheres have been synthesized by sacrificE-template method and the obtained sample has been characterized by TEM, SEM and XRD. The amperometric formaldehyde gas sensor was assembled with gold hollow nanospheres as the active electrode material and 1 mol/L KOH solution as electrolyte. The equation of linear regression(y=16.63x+4.063×10-7, r=0.9989)between the oxidation current(y(A))and the concentration of formaldehyde(x/(mol/L)) was obtained at the formaldehyde concentration in the range of 0 to 2.23×10-6 mol/L. The sensitivity of the sensor with gold hollow nanospheres as active material increased by about 70% compared with the sensor made of nanoparticles which had the same gold-loading in the work electrode, this method exhibits an advantage of decrease in the cost of the noble metal. This kind of sensor shows potential application in formaldehyde gas detection in this range due to its excellent sensitivity, stable response and good linear relationship.
