1.Effect of Yougui Pill on Cerebral Gene Chip of Mice with Kidney-yang Asthenia Induced by Excessive Physical and Sexual Activity
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(10):-
Objective To study the functional mechanism of Yougui Pill(Right Restoring Pill)through its effect on cerebral gene of mice models with kidney-yang asthenia caused by excessive physical and sexual activity. Methods There were 10,15,10 male mice in the control, model and treatment groups respectively. The control and model groups were treated with 0.5ml permouse perday distilled water by gavage while the treatment group was given 0.5ml permouse perday suspension of Yougui Pill.In the model and treatment groups, the ratio of male and female was 1∶6,feeding in the same cage, and the males were swimming everyday for 30~40 minutes,4 weeks in succession,to induce the kidney-yang asthenia. The 36K mouse cerebral gene chips were used to measure the brain genes of mice of 3 groups. The intensity ratio of fluorescence signals ≥2 and ≤0.5 were used as the scale to screen out the remarkably different genes. Results In the model and control groups, totally 186 gene with different expressions were screened out, including the 150 up-regulated genes and 36 down-regulated genes. In the treatment and model groups,155 gene with different expressions were screened out, including the up-regulated 64 genes and 91 down-regulated genes. There were 32 genes up-regulated in the model and control groups but down-regulated in the treatment and model groups, mainly involving the inflammation perimmunity and neurotransmissions persignal transduction genes. There were 12 genes down-regulated in the model and control groups but up-regulated in the treatment and model group, mainly involving the hormone related genes of melanin and orphan nuclear receptor. Conclusion Yougui Pill may make the notably down-regulated genes of melanin markedly up-regulated in mice models of kidney-yang asthenia, improving the effect of hormone related orphan nuclear receptor and promoting the cellular proliferation.

Objective To observe the effect of tanshinoneⅡA (TⅡA) on arrhythmia and levels of ischemia modified albumin (IMA) and heart type-fatty acid binding protein (H-FABP) in rats with myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods Forty Wistar rats were equally randomized into 5 groups:pseudo-operation group (normal saline),model group (normal saline),and high-,middle-and low-dose TⅡA groups (in the dose of 20,10 and 5 mg?kg-1?d-1 respectively). The rats were treated for 7 days, and received operation 2 hours after the last medication.Rats in pseudo-operation group received threading without ligation, while animal model of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury was established by ligating the left-anterior coronary artery for 15 minutes and then loosening for 30 minutes.During the operation, electrocardiogram was traced continuously to observe the arrhythmia.HE staining was used to observe the pathological changes of myocardium.Levels of IMA and H-FABP in myocardium were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results Ischemic changes of the myocardium and arrhythmia occurred, myocardial IMA level increased and H-FABP level decreased in the model rats.TanshinoneⅡA obviously attenuated arrhythmia caused by ischemia-reperfusion injury (P

The meaning of proteome research, definition and technique system of proteome are summarized in this article. In the post-genome age, research on proteomics has become more and more important, because changes in proteins which are expressed by genes are the direct causes of life function disorders.Proteome is the entire complement of proteins expressed by a kind of cell, tissue or organism.Proteomic techniques mainly include two-dimensional electrophoresis, mass spectrometry and bioinformatics. In addition, the application of proteome techniques published home and abroad in the field of environmental health in recent years has also reviewed in this paper.

Objective To explore the neuropsychological disorders and its mechanism of tuberothalamic artery infarction. Methods Clinical data of 9 patients with tuberothalamic artery infarction were analyzed retrospectively. Results Primary clinical manifestation of 9 patients were abulia, behavior disorders, thalamic aphasia, left spatial neglect, visual space function disorders, memory disorders. All of them, however, did not exist brain nerves lesion and disorders of motor and sense. Conclusion The clinical manifestation of tuberothalamic artery infarction patients are mainly neuropsychological disorders.

Innate immune cells have a critical role in defense against infections and diseases.Central to this is the broad specificity with which they can detect pathogen-associated patterns and danger-associated patterns via the pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) they express.TLR is one of the most largely studied families of PRRs.Activation of TLR promotes both innate inflammatory responses and the induction of adaptive immunity.Given the characteristics of TLR,various Toll like receptor agonists are used in vaccine design to accelerate the immune response and produce long-lasting protection.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the infusion solutions which are compatible with Compound kushen injection. METHODS:The insoluble particles of kushen injection in four kinds of infusion solutions were detected respectively by light blockage method.RESULTS:Insoluble particles of different size and number were noted for Compound kushen injection when mixed respectively with four kinds of infusion solutions, but the insoluble particles in all kinds of infusion solutions except 10% glucose injection were all within the range specified in China Pharmacopeia(2005 edition).CONCLUSION: 0.9% sodium ch-loride injection is the optimal compatible infusion solution for Compound kushen injection.

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2003;0(06):-
Objective To study inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES) used to determine blood boron(B),and to investigate the level of B in blood of children in Nanjing. Methods ICP-AES was applied to determine the level of B in the blood of 1032 healthy children and 1364 children patients after using 1mol/L HNO_(3) to treat whole blood. Results Precision of this method was 1.60%-4.31%,and recovery ratio was 93.3%-98.9%.The level of B in blood of the 1032 healthy children was(41.8?16.7)?g/L and that in blood of the 1464 patients was(25.1-58.5)?g/L(77%).Conclusion Precision and recovery ratio determined by the method are high,so it can be used as a reference method to detect the level of B in blood. And it preliminarily determines the reference levels of blood B of children in Nanjing as ranging from 25.1-58.5?g/L(except children below 1 year old).

Objective To investigate the distribution of the mini mental status examination in the elderly Methods Totally 3 776 residents aged 55 years or over serving as samples in the urban and rural areas of Lhasa city, from August to December in 2001 were studied A residential area and a door to door general sampling procedures were used in this study, respectively Mini mental status examination (MMSE) and a activity of daily living scale (ADL) were used as screening methods for dementia Results The distribution of lower scores in such examination in middle elderly people, in Lhasa city was 7 2%, in which, males were 9 3% and femals, 6 3% Conclusion The results of lower scores in the mini mental status examination were similar to those reporting from inland cities, but there appear some what differences in distributions of ages, educational levels and sexes from Tibetan, which may be due to their special location and living habits
