Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 2004;0(05):-
Objective To find out the difference in Multi-channel Cochlear mapping between SPrint speech processor and ESPrit speech processor (ESPrit 3G) for better guidance of the mapping. Methods Nine cases of total deafness patients (aged 2-54 years old) using SPrint changed to using ESPrit 3G after 6 to 24 months. The threshold (T-L) of electro-audiogram using different speech processor, comfortable level, sound field audiometry in various ESPrit 3G programs and questionnaire results were compared and analyzed statistically. Results Using various speech processor programs, four patients(The first group) felt satisfied with hearing effects. There was no difference comparing with SPrint. There was significantly different in T-L and C-L acquired from five patients(The second group) with two speech processors (P0.05). The results of sound field audiometry showed significant difference in the first group and the second group using programs from SPrint(P

Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(12):902-905
Vasculogenic mimicry (VM) is a pattern of neoplasm cells, which achieve their blood supplements through deformation and simulating capillary channels.Cumulative studies show that the formation of VM in glioma have a close relation with the glioma stem cells. In addition, some molecules such as microRNA,epithelial cell kinase-A2,vascular endothelial cadherin, transforming growth factor-Jβ,vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 and galectin-1 play important roles in the forming process of vasculogenic mimicry.Recently,it is found that VM is associated with the poor prognosis of patients with glioma and anti angiogenesis drug efficacy. So the research on VM about the discovery, formation mechanism, prognostic impact and the clinical significance will provide an opportunity for diagnosis and therapy of glioma in early stage.

Objective To dieuss clinical manifestations of the organs damage out of lung caused by my-coplasma pneumonia(MP) infection in children. Methods Clinical date of 383 children with mycoplasma pneumonia infection were retrospectively reviewed. Results Among 383 cases, a total of 81 cases(21.25 %) were accompanied by organs damage out of lung. Conclusion The organs damage out of lung were observed in many system, the rate of organs damage out of respiratory tract is high in children. Mistake may occur easily in diagnosis if the symptoms out of lung appear first.

Objective To investigate the expectation values of dental esthetics during the orthodontic treatment in adolescents with malocclusion. Methods 14~18 year-old adolescents with malocclusion were randomly divided into the treatment group (30 cases) and the control group (21 group) for a prospective study with a period of 1.5 years (0,0.5,1.0,1.5 year respectively),esthetics components of index of orthodontic treatment need (IOTN-AC) and self-made sheet for expectation values of dental esthetics were used to evaluate the values during the follow-up.Results During the follow-up,the IOTN-AC values in the treatment group were decreasing, conversely, the values in the control group were increasing, the expectation values of dental esthetics were increasing in both of the two groups, the differences above were significantly. Conclusions Expectation values of dental esthetics were higher during the follow-up in both of the treatment and untreatment cases,so the dentists and the nurses should encourage the consolidation therapy in treatment cases, and persuade the untreatment cases for orthodontic therapy in order to improve their psychological needs.

Cationic polymers are being developed quickly as gene delivery vectors. For in vivo gene delivery, the cationic polymers are usually further modified by hydrophilic polymer grafting or ligand conjugation, which have been shown to increase the vector stability, gene delivery efficiency and specificity greatly. Some previous research had shown that modified hydrophilic polymer may partly shield the targeting ligand and result in poor delivery specificity. Developing a method to evaluate the influence of PEG modification on targeting delivery is particularly critical to cationic polymer design and gene therapy development. One of most commonly used cationic polymer polylysine (PLL) was chosen as a model. Targeting ligand epidermal growth factor(EGF)was conjugated with PLL to form PLL-EGF. Then hydrophilic polymer polyethylene glycol (PEG) with molecular mass 7 000 and 20 000 were used to modify PLL-EGF respectively to generate PEG7000-g-PLL-EGF and PEG20000-g-PLL-EGF. In BIAcore experiments, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) was conjugated onto BIAcore chip and various PEG modified PLL-EGF solutions were flowed over the chip. By observing the change of RU value, the specific interaction of EGF to EGFR was compared. Compared with PLL-EGF, PEG modified PLL-EGF showed lower association rate and higher disassociation rate to EGFR. Furthermore, compared to PEG7000 modified PLL-EGF, PEG20000 modified PLL-EGF got lower association rate and higher disassociation rate to EGFR. The Scatchard analysis results showed that the interactions between EGFR and PLL-EGF or PEG-PLL-EGF are non-linear. It can be concluded that PEG modification indeed reduced the association rate and enhanced the dissociation rate of EGF to EGFR. The length of PEG chain was also a key factor to influence interaction between ligand and receptor. The results showed that it was critical important to evaluate the influence of PEG modification on delivery specificities. The BIAcore method developed in this paper can successfully evaluate the influence, which would be important for cationic polymer design and its application as potential non-viral gene delivery vectors.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(03):-
After intracerebral ventricular administration of adrenomedullin (AM) in normal saline (NS) or 30% glucose to rats, the effects on blood glucose and glucose regulatory hormones were studied and compared. 1) Am in NS increased significantly the concentration of plasma insulin and C peptide, and decreased the concentration of glucagon and blood glucose. 2) As compared with 30% glucose alone, AM in 30% glucose raised significantly the plasma insulin and C peptide and decreased significantly the glucagon concentration, but the blood glucose level remained unchanged. The results showed that the AM plays a role in the regulation of pancreatic hormone secretion by central nerve system.
