2.Pathogenic bacteria distribution and risk factors of lower respiratory tract infection in critical patients in neurosurgery department

Objective To investigate the pathogenic bacteria types and distribution characteristics of critical patients with lower respiratory tract infection in neurosurgery department,and to analyze the high risk fac?tors of lower respiratory tract infections. Methods A retrospective analysis of 80 cases of critical patients with lower respiratory tract infection in neurosurgery department of General Hospital of People Liberation Army from April 2013 to April 2014 was carried out. The pathogenic bacteria types and distribution characteristics of lower respiratory tract infection were analyzed by means of bacterial identification,and single factor and multi factor Lo?gistic regression analysis was carried out to analyze the related factors of lower respiratory tract infection.Results One hundred and thirty?four strains of pathogenic bacteria were cultured from sputum of 80 cases of patients. Among which the gram negative bacteria were 109 strains,accounting for 81.34%(109/134),while the Gram positive bacteria were 17 strains,accounting for 12.69%(17/134) and the fungi were 2 strains,accounting for 1.49%(2/134).The proportion of three kinds of pathogenic bacteria had statistical significance(P=0.004, 0.001). The single factor Logistic regression analysis showed that,younger age,use of ventilator,use of antimi?crobial drugs and pulmonary infection rate were protective factors of lung infection(OR(95%CI)=0.586(0.475-0.722),0.708(0.574-0.873),0.827(0.697-0.981);P=0.043,0.007,0.000);disturbance of consciousness, tracheotomy,insert gastric tube, surgery and pulmonary infection incidence were risk factors for lung infection (OR(95%CI)=4.769(1.069-21.276),11.612(5.438-24.792),22.989(19.385-27.263),10.426(8.789-12.361);P=0.001,0.008,0.005,0.002).The multi factor Logistic regression analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between the trachea incision, the consciousness and the lower respiratory tract infection (OR(95%CI)=4.627(2.143-20.645),10.412(2.334-46.455);P=0.009,0.002).Conclusion Patients with conscious disturbance and tracheotomy were more likely to have lower respiratory tract infections. The pathogens of lower respiratory tract infections are Gram?negative bacteria,and the majority of pathogens are high resistance, and it is multi drug resistance.
3.Effects of Vitamin E on Mouse Lung Cancer Induced by Benzo(a)pyrene

Objective The epidemiologic evidences indicate that the benefits of using vitamin E (VE) against lung cancer remain controversial, the goal of the present paper is to know whether VE can produce the protective effect in lung cancer induced by benzo(a)pyrene B(a)P . Methods 225 Swiss mice were randomly divided into groups and treated with B(a)P and VE to systematically observe the intervention effects of VE on mouse lung cancer caused by B(a)P. Results VE exhibited no protective effect on B(a)P-induced lung cancer in female mice and instead promoted B(a)P carcinogenesis; neither protective effect nor promotion effect was observed in the male mice. The mechanism by which VE intervention influenced B(a)P carcinogenesis and lung cancer in female mice might be more complex. Conclusion The results of the present paper suggest that VE should not be used to prevent lung cancer induced by B(a)P.

Objective To study the expression of estrogen receptor beta in the lung tissue of mice treaded with B[a]p alone or combined with estrogen (17 ?-estradiol, E2) in female Kunming strain mice and to explore the effect of estrogen in the lung cancer of mice induced by benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P). Methods One hundred and twenty-five female Kunming mice were randomly divided into 5 groups: normal control group was group 1 ;group 2 was treated with subcutaneous injection of estrogen ( 900 ?g/kg); group 3 was given B[a]P(75 ?mol/kg) by gavage;the last two groups were given the same dosage of B[a]P (75 ?mol/kg)plus two different dosage of estrogen: 900 ?g/kg and 300 ?g/kg. After 8 weeks,there was a recovery period of 8 weeks. Then, the lung tissue was obtained by surgical resection. The expression of estrogen receptor-? gene and estrogen receptor-? protein of the lung tissue was detected by real-time PCR and Western blotting technology respectively. Objective To explore the emotional socialization development between boys and girls aged 1-3 years. Methods A total of 1008 children were randomly selected with 571 boys and 437 girls. Chinese version of Urban Infant-Toddler Social and Emotional Assess-ment (CITSEA) was used to assess the emotional socialization development situation between boys and girls. Results There were statistical-ly significant differences between boys and girls in the overt behavior domain and ability domain of CITSEA (t>2.136, P<0.05), and was not in the covert behavior domain and imbalance domain (t<1.172, P>0.05). Conclusion There are gender differences in emotional socialization development of children.

Objective Onto investigate the indoor quality control method for qualitatively detecting the laboratory indicators of TORCH infection (rubella virus IgG ,cytomegalovirus IgG and IgM ,toxoplasma IgG and IgM ) .Methods The statistical method , normal distribution data ,ratio and standard deviation of positive rate detected by the ELISA method were adopted ,1+2s was set as the out of control rules ,the semi Lerey‐Jennings quality control chart was drawn;the direct probability calculation method was a‐dopted for the non‐normal distribution data and small probability event .The testing data of 57 batches were retrospectively ana‐lyzed .Results The positive rate of rubella virus IgG was 86 .66% ,cytomegalovirus IgG/IgM positive rates were 98 .87% and 0 .13% ,toxoplasma gondii IgG/IgM positive rates were 2 .43% and 1 .71% ,the data of 151 ,3 ,5 ,176 ,27 samples had the critical value range of five indicators .The number of out of control was once for cytomegalovirus IgG ,once and 4 times for Toxoplasma gondii IgG/IgM .Conclusion The indoor quality control for the ELISA qualitative detection of TORCH infection can adopt the data of daily detection positive rate or negative rate for monitoring the false positive .The critical value range of specimens should be fur‐ther conducted the recheck or confirmation experiment .
8.Meta-analysis of javanica oil emulsion injection combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of esophageal carcinoma

Objective To evaluate the advantage and clinical value of javanica oil emulsion injection combined with radiotherapy for esophageal carcinoma. Method Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) concerning javanica oil emulsion injection combined with radiotherapy for esophageal carcinoma were made on electronic databases of CBM, CNKI, Wangfang, VIP and PubMed from 1990 to February 28, 2015. Quality of the included RCTs was assessed by Jadad scoring , and Meta-analyses were performed by RevMan5.3 software. Results Seven RCTs involving 575 patients were included in Meta-analysis. All studies were in low quality. The results of Meta-analyses showed that Javanica oil emulsion injection combined with radiotherapy for esophageal carcinoma, compared with control groups, could increase the recent curative effect (P < 0.000 01) and improve the quality of live (P = 0.000 8), decrease the hematologic toxicities (P = 0.03) and the incidence rate of radioaction esophagitis (P = 0.02), but not enough evidence was found to prove that it can enhance survival rate (P = 0.25). Conclusions The results of Meta-analysis indicate that javanica oil emulsion injection may have therapeutic effects on the treatment of esophageal carcinoma. Yet the effects of javanica oil emulsion injection still need to be confirmed by large multi-center randomized controlled trials.
9.The effect of hyperbaric oxygen on neural stem cell proliferation and differentiation after cerebral ischemia

Objective To study the effect of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) on the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells (NSCs) in rats after middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO).Methods Seventy-two adult,male,Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a control (CON) group,a hyperbaric air (HBA) group,a normobaric oxygen (NBO) group and a hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) group.All were subjected to MCAO.Rats in the CON group did not receive any treatment; those in the other groups were treated with HBA,NBO or HBO daily beginning 2 hours after the operation.Western blotting was applied to detect the expression of nestin,MAP2 and GFAP at 2,3,7 and 14 days after the MCAO.Results The expression of nestin in the HBO group was significantly higher than in the other groups on the 3rd,7th and 14th days.It peaked at day 3 but remained high until day 14.Similarly,expression of MAP2 was significantly higher than in the other groups at least until day 14.GFAP expression was significantly lower than in the other groups.Conclusion HBO can increase neural stem cell proliferation and neuronal differentiation,and inhibit the proliferation of astrocytes.
10.Effect of Xilei Powder on primary cultured fibroblast functions related to wound healing
