Objective To investigate the efficacy of CT guided radioactive 125I seed implantation on elderly patients with advanced malignancies.Methods 78 cases of elderly patients with malignant were collected and divided into two groups.41 cases of the treatment group were treated with CT guided radioactive 125I seed implantation.Particle activity was 29.6 MBq.The prescription dose was 90-110 Gy.37 cases of the control group were treated with optimized supportive care.Data from all of patients were to review and followup observation in short term efficacy,quality of life and side efforts.Results The total effective rate was 92.7 ％(38/41)and the disease control rate was 97.6 ％(40/41)in the treatment group.The control group was in the effective rate and 16.2 ％(16/37)in the disease control rate.The quality of life of the treatment group was higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).And there is no obviously side efforts.Conclusion The treatment of elderly patients with advanced malignant tumors by 125I seed implantation was a safe and effective method.It can improve the quality of patients' life.

Laboratory diagnostics is one of the most fast developing medical sciences.But the teaching quality falls behind due to the traditional education model.Based on the concept of ‘three-stage fusion' of the subject and ‘five abilities' of the training objects,‘three-highlight & stereo' teaching style was established and put through the course,which means to emphasize function,practice,effect in optimizing teaching content and methods,and construct stereo platform including information system,online course,laboratory equipments,research activities and teacher training program.The results showed a significant improvement of the students' knowledge mastering and utilizing capability.And the teaching situation was well re-created.Furthermore,the teaching team was much more powerful than ever.It suggests that ‘three-highlight and stereo' teaching style is a successful explore and practice of teaching reform of laboratory diagnostics on adapting for internationalization of education tendency.

Some researchers focus on research of the nature of syndromes. The methods of combining traditional Chinese medicine syndrome and diseases and the correspondence between formulas and syndromes may be used in research of the nature of syndromes. According to combined theories of zang-organ state and seven emotions in traditional Chinese medicine with stress theory in modern medicine, the authors applied the methods of chronic immobilization stress to induce liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome in rats based on the thinking of relativity on formula and syndrome. The research showed that the central neurobiology mechanism of liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome closely correlates to the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, brain-gut axis, myriad central neurotrophic factors, neurotransmitters, neuropeptides and hormones and their receptors, involving in many encephalic regions such as the hypothalamus, hippocampus, cortex, amygdale, etc. The authors will combine their previous work with multi-disciplinary research, such as genomics, proteomics, metabolomics and bioinformatics in future studies, to reveal the scientific connotations of liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome.

Xiang-thinking is the main way of thinking in the form of traditional Chinese culture, which included Xiang and thinking. In viscera theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) formation, Xiang-thinking has run through and played a role in pushing forward on the formation of manifestation theories. Among five internal organs, take liver as an example. The formation of the liver manifestation is through the description of the liver and intuitive form and structure of the object, which were on the basis of the extract of abstract thinking, and the summarization on rules of the process. In this paper, the formation of liver manifestation theory was taken as an example to discuss the application of Xiang-thinking in formation of liver manifestation theory.

ObjectiveTo screen out the two-component system associated with drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis by detecting the differential expression of two-component system regulator genes between multidrug resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains and drug sensitive strains. MethodsTotal RNA of MTB was extracted from cultured MTB during the logarithmic phase in the 7H9 brook medium, and then its purity was identified. Reverse transcription was further completed. The expressing levels of TCS response regulators were quantified using SYBR Green I qRT-PCR, which aimed at finding the differential expressions between multidrug resistant strains and sensitive strains. Finally, all of differentially expressed TCS were screened out under the stress of INH, SM and LFA. Results Compared with sensitive strains,multidrug resistant strains of Rv0491, Rv3133c, Rv3143 and Rv3246c were up-regulated 1. 03, 7.11,3.48and 1.37 folds, respectively (t/t' =5. 623, -4. 196, -3. 559 and -3. 016, respectively, P ＜0. 01 ). The expressing level of other regulators had no statistical significance between muhidrug resistant strains and drug sensitive strains. Under the antibiotic pressure, the expression of Rv1027c, Rv3246c and Rv3143 showed significant changes compared with no antibiotic group. ConclusionRv3246c and Rv3143 may be associated with MTB drug resistance and the differentially expressed genes in multi-drug resistant strains may be used as potential drug targets against drug resistant tuberculosis.

Objective To express recombinant HBHAΔC and HBHAΔN protein,and compare the HBHA series protein activity with each other.It will be provide a experimental basis for the research on clinical diagnostic of HBHA.Methods The HBHAΔC and HBHAΔN gene fragments were cloned and expressed by transforming E.coli BL-21.Test the protein heparin binding ability by CL-6B column.And then added protein to the BCG 7H9 culture medium,to observe the induced BCG aggregation.Results nHB-HA,rHBHA and HBHAΔN protein have heparin binding ability.Meanwhile nHBHA,rHBHA and HBHA Δ C protein have in-duced BCG aggregation effect.Conclusion The HBHAΔC and HBHAΔN protein were successfully obtained.It was proved that the HBHA C-terminal could be combined with heparin and the N-terminal involved could induce the aggregation of BCG.This results provide a basis for further study on molecular mechanism of TB infection and clinical application.

AIM: To observe the antiproliferative effect of c-myc antisense oligonucleotide in rat thymus lymphocytes. METHODS: Rat thymus lymphocytes were separated by Ficoll-Urografin density gradient centrifugation. Lipofectin was used to introduce antisense, sense and mismatched oligonucleotides for c-myc to rat thymus lymphocytes. AIM: To observe the inhibitory effect of antisense eukaryotic expression vectors for c-myc on rat airway smooth muscle cells. METHODS: Antisense and sense eukaryotic expression vectors for c-myc pcDNA3-myc-antisense and pcDNA3-myc-sense were constructed. Lipofectin was used to introduce antisense and sense eukaryotic expression vectors for c-myc into rat. The inhibitory effect was assayed by MTT cell proliferation assay. Cell cycles were detected by flow cytometry technology. The expression of c-Myc was detected by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: The results showed that antisense eukaryotic expression vector for c-myc inhibited rat airway smooth muscle cells proliferation. Rat airway smooth muscle cells were prohibited in S phase and the expression of c-Myc was decreased after antisense eukaryotic expression vectors for c-myc were transfected into cells. CONCLUSION: Antisense eukaryotic expression vectors for c-myc inhibit rat airway smooth muscle cell proliferation. [

Objective To study the characteristics of antimicrobial resistance and molecular epidemiology of Staphylococcus aureus (S .aureus)in the intensive care units(ICUs)of a hospital.Methods Clinical isolates of S .aureus collected from ICUs between January and December 2014 were identified and performed antimicrobial susceptibility testing,then typed by staphylococcal protein A (spa)typing and multilocus sequence typing (MLST) methods.Results Of 160 isolates of S .aureus ,120 (75.00%)were methicillin-resistant S .aureus (MRSA). Resistance rates of MRSA to erythromycin,clindamycin,and levofloxacin were all > 80%;methicillin-sensitive S .aureus (MSSA)were sensitive to cefazolin,resistance rates to erythromycin,clindamycin,and levofloxacin were 62.50%,35.00%,and 10.00% respectively.spa typing and MLST results showed that the main types of 120 isolates of MRSA were ST239-t030,ST239-t037,and ST5-t2460,the major epidemic strains were ST239-t030 (n=105,87.50%),and were isolated from 8 ICUs;MSSA had more types,ST59-t437 were detected only from depart-ment of neurology(n =8)and department of digestive diseases(n =2),ST6-t701 ,ST398-t3625,ST398-t1793,and ST121-t2092 were isolated from departments of neurology(n=7),anesthesiology(n=5),neurosurgery(n=4),and cardiac surgery(n=4)respectively.Conclusion Isolation rate of MRSA in ICUs in this hospital is high,ST239-t030 is the main type,which prevailed in hospital;different types of MSSA have epidemic trends in various departments.

OBJECTIVE: To develop a rapid detection method for microalbuminuria with size-exclusion high performance liquid chromatography. METHODS: With a new mobile phase, samples were injected onto an Agilent Zorbax GF-250 size exclusion chromatographic column. The method was evaluated and urine albumin of 56 diabetic patients was analyzed. RESULTS: The mobile phase containing 0.1% formic acid and acetonitrile, with 20 μL sample size, 1 mL/min flow rate, 205 nm detection wavelength. The retention time of albumin both in human serum and urine was 1.7 min. The linear range was 5-2000 mg/L. The lower limit of measurement was 2 mg/L. The intra-assay coefficient of variation and the inter-assay coefficient of variation were 3.98% and 4.05% (20 mg/L), 3.55% and 3.60% (200 mg/L), 4.65% and 4.74% (2000 mg/L), respectively. Recovery rates were 95.3%, 98.1%, and 97.2%. Microalbuminuria was detected in 30 samples by high performance liquid chromatography and 15 samples by immunoturbidimetry from 56 patients with diabetic mellitus. CONCLUSION A fast and high sensitivity method, namely size-exclusion high performance liquid chromatography, with mobile phase containing 0.1% formic acid and acetonitrile has been established to analyze microalbuminuria, which can detect more microalbuminuria than other methods and is suitable for clinical routine measurement.
