It was shown that in the stricture on abdominal aorta (SAA) rat myocardiac hypertrophy model,the caudal blood pressure was increased,the wall of left ventricle was thichened, the proliferation of T cell in thymus and spleen was decreased and the content of IL-2 was less than normal. Acanthopanax giroldii polysaccharide (AGPS10mg/kg.d, sc) could harmonize the heightened blood pressure and increase the level of immunity in the body. It was suggested by the result, that AGPS could be used to strengthen the heart function as well as immunity.

Objective:To investigate the changes and significances of serum cystatin C and transforming growth factor-β1 levels for the neonatal asphyxia.Methods:Forty-six asphyxia newborns were chosen as the asphyxia group,and thirty healthy newborns were selected as the control group.The TGF-β1,CysC,BUN,Scr,and GFR levels of both groups were detected on the 1st,3rd,7th day after hospitalization.According to the renal injury,the 46 newborns were divided into normal group and asphyxia group,and the serum indexes were detected and analyzed.Results:On the 1st,3rd,7th day after hospitalization,the TGF-β1,GFR of asphyxia group was obviously increased and was lower than those of the control group (P＜0.05);the level of CysC,BUN,Scr in both groups were decreased,and the change degree in asphyxia group were higher than that of the control group (P＜0.05);the CysC,BUN,Scr in renal injured group were higher than those of normal group,and TGF-β1,GFR were much lower (P＜0.05).Additionally,TGF-β1 level of renal injured group was negatively correlated to the BUN and Scr,and positively correlated with the GFR (P＜0.05).The level of serum CysC in renal injured group was positively correlated to BUN and Scr and negatively correlated to GFR (P＜0.05).Conclusion:The serum TGF-β1,CysC in asphyxia newborns had significant changes compared with the healthy newborns and was correlated to the renal injured indexes,which had clinical directive significance on the early diagnosis,condition judgment,and prognosis of neonatal asphyxia with renal injury.

Objective To correlate the expression levels of interferon inducible genes (IFIGs) with disease activity and clinical features in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patiems,.Methods Peripheral blood cells obtained from 67 SLE patients and 23 healthy donors (HDs) were subjected to real-time PCR to measure the transcriptional levels of five IFIGs (OAS-1,Mx-1,Ly6e,IFIT1 and IFIT4).Interferon scores were calculated and were compared between various groups of SLE patients as well as between patients and controls;ISRE lucife:rase reporter gene activity was measured in 17 of 67 patients and correlated with interferon score.Results Interferon scores were strongly correlated with ISRIE reporter gene aetivity,which represented for the type Ⅰ interferon activity in serum.The expression.levels of IFIGs and jinterferon scores were significantly elevated in SLE patients compared with HDs (P＜0.0001).Interferon scores were correlated positively with SLEDAI-2K(P=0.0006) and negatively with C3 levels(P=0.0162).Interferon scores were also significantly elevated in SLE patients with a positive anti-Sm or anti-RNP autoantibodies.Clonclusion The interferon score may be regarded as a good indicator for serum type I interferon activity in SLE and serves as a new hiomarker for disease activity in SLE patients.

Objective:To summarize the midterm to long-term outcomes and experiences of endovascular treatment (ET) of spontaneous isolated superior mesenteric artery dissection (SISMAD).Methods:The clinical data of 31 SISMAD patients from Jan 2011 to Dec 2019 treated with ET was retrospectively analyzed.Results:Successful ET was achieved in 29 patients with a technical success rate of 93.5%. A total of 36 self-expandable bare stents were planted in 28 patients and plain old balloon angioplastry (POBA) was performed in 1 patient. Abdominal pain disappeared within 24 hours in 89.3% of the patients after stenting. The rate of perioperative complication was 3.2%. There was no SMA dissection rupture bleeding, nor perioperative death occurred. The mean follow-up time was 53.5 (range, 6 to 110) months. There was no dissecting aneurysm formation, no SMA rupture and bleeding, and no stent rupture during the follow-up. The post ET 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year free from reintervention rate were 100%, 100%, and 91.7%, respectively.Conclusions:ET for SISMAD is safe and effective with satisfactory perioperative and midterm to long-term outcomes.

Objective To investigate the imaging manifestations of os odontoideum and to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of this disease.Methods Imaging data of 22 patients with os odontoideum were analyzed retrospectively.Results Os odontoideum was divided into round,oval,conical and irregular shapes,with intact cortex and hypertrophy of anterior arch of atlas.Two cases of orthotopic and 20 cases of dystopic os odontoideum were included.There was no displacement of the base of the odontoid process in 7 cases,with anterior displacement in 6 cases and posterior displacement in 9 cases.A widening of anterior atlanto-axial joint space with varying degrees was observed in 14 cases.Thickening of the soft tissue posterior to the odontoid process was showed in 18 cases,spinal canal stenosis in 21 cases,spinal cord degeneration in 11 cases and craniocervical junction malformation in 9 cases.Conclusion Os odontoideum is a well-corticated bone mass,with other related changes,such as hypertrophy of anterior arch of atlas,small posterior arch of atlas,atlantoaxial instablity, spinal stenosis and so on.The imaging features can provide important reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Objective To explore the relationship between job resources and anxiety on nurses,and investigate the moderating and mediating effects of resilience on job resources and anxiety. Methods Chi-nese nurses ( n＝560) from some departments of four hospitals in tangshan city were recruited by random sampling method and interviewed by job resources questionnaire,Connor-Davidson resilience scale and self-rating anxiety scale. Results The scores of nurses'anxiety,resilience and job resources were 40.82±9.63, 9.45±1.82,and 93.24±16.61 respectively.The resilience,job resources and its dimensions were negatively correlated to nurses'anxiety (P＜0.05).Resilience played moderating role in the relationship between nurses'anxiety and work autonomy(β＝0.168,P＜0.01).Resilience served to mediate the relationship between nurses'anxiety and performance feedback,career development opportunities (P＜0.05). The mediating effect value of performance feedback and career development opportunities on nurses' anxiety were －0.115881 and－0.068052 respectively ,which were 41.26% and 32.71% of the total effect respectively. Conclusion Job resources and resilience are closely related to nurses'anxiety.Resilience plays partially moderating and medi-ating role in the relationship between nurses'anxiety and job resources.

Objective:To summarize the anesthesia management of living small bowel transplantation.Methods:Severn patients undergoing living and allogeneic small bowel transplantation for the first time were selected.The intraoperative hemodynamics, indexes of blood gas analysis, body temperature and blood transfusion and volume of liquid infused were analyzed.Postoperative outcomes were tracked.Results:Six cases survived and were successfully discharged from hospital successfully, and one patient died.In the operation room, 71% patients were successfully extubated after surgery.Compared with the values during anatomical separation period, Hb during vascular anastomosis and intestinal reconstruction periods and concentration of Ca 2+ during intestinal reconstruction period were significantly decreased, and the blood glucose concentration during vascular anastomosis period were increased ( P<0.05 or 0.01). Compared with the values during vascular anastomosis period, the blood glucose concentration was increased significantly during intestinal reconstruction period ( P<0.05). Crystalloid solution (57±30) ml/kg and colloid solution which mainly containing 20% albumin (15±13) ml/kg were infused mainly during anatomical separation and vascular anastomosis periods in all the patients. Conclusion:The condition of successful living small bowel transplantation is fully evaluation and preparation before surgery.Intravenous-inhalational anesthesia combined with transverses abdominis plane block and rational infusion of colloid solution with vasoactive drugs to maintain hemodynamics stability and monitor blood gas, body temperature, active adjustment of electrolytes and internal environment and stable body temperature can be helpful in maintaining perioperative stable vital signs during the perioperative period, removing the tracheal tube early at the end of surgery, and reducing the development of postoperative complications in patients undergoing living small bowel transplantation.

BACKGROUND:Gold nanoparticles are of great significance in the development of multifunctional transdermal drug delivery systems.Smaller gold nanoparticles can penetrate the dermis through the intercellular pathway,but are limited to their easy agglomeration and colloidal morphology,which makes it difficult to exert effects on low delivery efficiency. OBJECTIVE:To develop an ultrasound-optimized hydrogel delivery system by combining phase change nanodroplets with bio-adhesive hydrogel for percutaneous delivery of gold nanoparticles. METHODS:The ultrasound-responsive nanodroplets loaded with gold nanoparticles were prepared by the emulsion solvent evaporation method and loaded into the polydopamine-modified methylacryloyl gelatin hydrogel to prepare a composite hydrogel scaffold.The structure and chemical composition of the ultrasound-responsive nanogold carrier were characterized.The microstructure,porosity,permeability,rheology,in vitro hemostasis,and antibacterial properties of the composite hydrogel were characterized.The cell compatibility of the hydrogel scaffold was evaluated by live/dead staining,and the optimization effects of low-intensity pulsed ultrasound on the permeability,porosity,and mechanical properties of hydrogel were evaluated. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Transmission electron microscopy and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy proved the successful construction of nanogold carriers.The particle size and potential results demonstrated that the synthesized nanoscaled ultrasonic responsive carrier had good stability.(2)Live/dead cell staining proved that the prepared composite hydrogel scaffold had certain biocompatibility.(3)Scanning electron microscopy exhibited that the prepared composite hydrogel scaffold had a porous network structure,and numerous pores of about 2 μm appeared inside the macropores after the addition of nanodroplets and ultrasonic irradiation.The permeability experiment displayed that low-intensity pulsed ultrasound could optimize the porosity and permeability of hydrogel materials.The hemostatic performance of the composite hydrogel scaffold was better than that of the hemostatic sponge and polydopamine@methylacrylylated gelatin hydrogel scaffold.Under the irradiation of low-intensity pulsed ultrasound,the composite hydrogel scaffolds had good antioxidant effects and antibacterial properties.(4)Thermal imaging results manifested that gold nanoparticles were encapsulated in ultrasound-responsive nanobubbles,and more uniform dispersion could be obtained under ultrasonic excitation.(5)The results of the mechanical property test demonstrated that the storage modulus of the hydrogel increased before and after loading gold nanoparticles-nanodroplets,which showed stronger mechanical properties.The elongation at break was 122%,and the ductility was better than that without gold nanoparticles-nanodroplets(P<0.05).(6)These findings indicate that the composite hydrogel scaffold has good biocompatibility,antibacterial property,oxidation resistance,and hemostatic effect.

Objective:To improve the aqueous solubility, biocompatibility, fluorescence, and sonosensitivity of curcumin, this study aims to transform curcumin into curcumin-derived carbon dots (Cur-CDs) to enhance the efficacy of sonodynamic therapy (SDT) of atherosclerosis (AS).Methods:Cur-CDs were synthesized via a hydrothermal method. The morphology was characterized by transmission electron microscopy, while Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were applied to analyze the chemical composition and surface functional groups. Optical properties were examined by UV-visible spectrophotometry and fluorescence spectroscopy. Cell proliferation and viability assay and a hemolysis experiment were performed to assess biocompatibility. The sonosensitivity of Cur-CDs was determined by the measurement of reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced by Cur-CDs.To verify the effect of Cur-CDs-mediated SDT on macrophage phenotype, the M1 and M2 macrophage marker genes were detected via real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The ability of Cur-CDs in plaque detection was assessed through in vivo fluorescence imaging and ex vivo aortic fluorescence imaging. Atherosclerotic plaque mice were divided into five groups: control group, curcumin group, Cur-CDs group, curcumin + low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) group, and Cur-CDs+ LPIUS group. Aortic Oil red O staining and blood lipid level measurements were conducted to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of SDT on the plaques.Results:Cur-CDs exhibited a spherical morphology and a distinct lattice structure with the diameter of (1.87±0.35)nm. The aqueous solubility of Cur-CDs was about 10 5 times that of curcumin because of their abundant oxygen-containing hydrophilic functional groups.Cur-CDs at concentrations up to 500 mg/L had no significant impact on cell proliferation and viability, with a negligible hemolysis rate of <1%, indicating good biocompatibility of Cur-CDs. Cur-CDs exhibited a stable and excellent fluorescence with the maximum excitation and emission wavelengths of 420 nm and 530 nm, respectively. Cur-CDs had the potential to be used for plaque fluorescence imaging, with the fluorescence intensity at the plaque being significantly greater than that of curcumin( P<0.01). It was observed that Cur-CDs activated by LIPUS were capable of producing ROS, including 1O 2, ·OH, and ·O 2-, with the total amount of ROS exceeding that of curcumin( P<0.05). Cur-CDs-mediated SDT facilitated the transformation of macrophage phenotype from M1 to M2, with a more pronounced effect than that observed with curcumin-mediated SDT. Oil red O staining revealed the most significant reduction in plaque area and lipid content in the Cur-CDs+ LIPUS group, which was about three times greater than that in the curcumin+ LIPUS group, confirming the excellent efficacy of Cur-CDs-mediated SDT on plaques. Conclusions:The successfully prepared Cur-CDs exhibit superior aqueous solubility, biocompatibility, fluorescence, and sonosensitivity than curcumin, contributing to the significant improvement in sonodynamic efficacy on plaques.

OBJECTIVE To design paclitaxel prodrug nanoparticles with dual reactive oxygen species/glutathione response (ProPTX-SS-NPs), providing new ideas and methods for the application of paclitaxel. METHODS The optimal preparation method and process of prodrug nanoparticles was investigated by using particle size and PDI as indicators; the morphology of prodrug nanoparticles was observed through electron microscopy and their particle size, potential, encapsulation efficiency, drug loading capacity, etc were investigated; the in vitro release characteristics of nanoparticles in reactive oxygen species and glutathione environments were investigated; the in vitro cytotoxicity and cellular uptake of prodrug nanoparticles were investigated through cell experiments. RESULTS The nano particle size prepared by the optimal process was (130.20±2.18)nm, with the PDI of 0.12±0.01, the Zeta potential of (-8.45±0.01)mV, the drug load of (10.27±1.36)%, and the encapsulation rate of (93.22±2.20)%. The prodrug nanoparticles showed reactive oxygen species and glutathione dual responsive release ability, and could significantly inhibit the proliferation of MCF-7, HepG2, and MDA-MB-231. Its inhibitory effect on MDA-MB-231 cells was the most significant. The IC50 of prodrug nanoparticles on MDA-MB-231 cells was (0.71±0.11)μmol·L, while the IC50of PTX was (22.38±3.27)μmol·L. CONCLUSION ProPTX-SS-NPs have excellent tumor microenvironment response performance and significant anti-tumor activity, which is a highly potential and promising anti-tumor nanosystem.
