Journal of Clinical Medicine in Practice 2024;28(23):20-26
Objective To investigate the regulatory effect and molecular mechanism of solute carrier family 1 member 5 (SLC1A5) -tetraspanin superfamily member 1 (TM4SF1) complex on cisplatin resistance in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cells. Methods SLC1A5-overexpressing Eca109 cells were constructed using lentiviral vectors, and the effect of SLC1A5 on cisplatin sensitivity was assessed through cell viability assays. Western blotting (WB) was employed to detect SLC1A5 expression in Eca109 cells and cisplatin-resistant Eca109 cells (Eca109-R). SLC1A5 expression was knocked down in Eca109-R cells using lentiviral vectors, and cisplatin sensitivity was examined thereafter. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was utilized to analyze the influence of SLC1A5 knockdown on the expression of key genes involved in DNA damage repair in Eca109-R cells. In SLC1A5-knockdown Eca109-R cells, cell viability assays were performed to evaluate the sensitivity to cisplatin after RAD50 overexpression. Additionally, Eca109 cells were separately or co-overexpressed with SLC1A5 and TM4SF1 using lentiviral vectors, and the effect of the SLC1A5-TM4SF1complex on RAD50 expression and cisplatin resistance was examined through cell viability assays. Results Compared with control cells, Eca109 cells overexpressing SLC1A5 exhibited enhanced cisplatin resistance (

Objective:To investigate the current status of primiparas′ postpartum fatigue and paternal involvement, and to explore the relationship between primiparas′ postpartum fatigue and paternal involvement, and to provide reference basis for developing targeted intervention measures to alleviate postpartum fatigue of primiparas. Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 347 primiparas from Affiliated Hospital of Yangzhou University, Yangzhou Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from September to December 2020 by convenience sampling. The survey instruments included the general information questionnaire, the Parenting Alliance Inventory (PAI), and the Postpartum Fatigue Scale (PFS).Results:The total score of PAI was (86.51 ± 12.07) points, and the level of paternal involvement was high. The total score of PFS was (16.68 ± 4.12) points. 95.97% (333/347) of primiparas had varying degrees of postpartum fatigue. There was a significant negative correlation between paternal involvement and primiparas′ postpartum fatigue ( r=-0.327, P<0.01). The results of multiple stratified regression analysis showed that paternal involvement was included in the influencing factor model of primiparas′ postpartum fatigue, which could independently explain 9.7% variation of primiparas′ postpartum fatigue. Conclusions:The higher level of paternal involvement could predict the lower level of primiparas′ postpartum fatigue. Medical staff should pay attention to the participation level of the spouses of primiparas in childcare, and improve the participation level of the spouses of primiparas in scientific ways to alleviate the postpartum fatigue of primiparas.

Methods:
A total of 1 589 students in grades 7-9 from two middle schools in Yangzhou City were selected using the cluster sampling method and were administered with sleep time, bedtime, social jetlag difference, and sleep habits.
Results:
Totally 64.38% were sleep deprived during the school days, 86.78% went to bed too late, 46.51% had a social jetlag of ≥1 h, and 37.44% took a nap every day(Incluldes holidays and school days). Social jetlag length was statistically different between grades( F =6.97, P < 0.01 ). Girls[(0.95±0.65)h] shown significantly higher social jetlag than the boys[(0.76±0.59)h]( t=6.19, P <0.01). Later bedtime on weekends, later wake up time on weekends and poor sleep behavior were risk factors for overweight and obesity in junior high school students( OR=1.20, 1.14, 1.04, P <0.05).
Conclusion
Junior high school students had less sleep and later bedtimes with the increase of grade, and weekend bedtimes, wake up times and poor sleep behavior were independently associated with the risk of overweight and obesity in junior high school students. Parents and schools should be instructed to pay attention to their sleep health and carry out adolescent sleep health guidance.

Objective:
To investigate the subclinical eating disorders among college students and to analyze associated factors, so as to provide a basis for the prevention and treatment of eating disorders among adolescents.
Methods:
From November to December 2023, a total of 5 201 college students were selected by stratified random cluster sampling from one undergraduate college and one specialized college in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Data on general information, subclinical eating disorders, body image perception, depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms, and mental health literacy were collected using questionnaires. The Chisquare test was used to compare the detection rates of subclinical eating disorders between groups, and binary Logistic regression was employed to analyze associated factors.
Results:
The detection rate of subclinical eating disorders among college students was 16.0%. Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that the prevalence of subclinical eating disorders among college students was higher in the following categories:being in a relationship (OR=1.22, 95%CI=1.04-1.44), being overweight and obese (OR=2.75, 3.82, 95%CI=2.24-3.38, 2.89-5.06), overestimation of body shape (OR=2.04, 95%CI=1.68-2.49), being in a depressive state (OR=2.53, 95%CI=1.99-3.21), experiencing anxiety (OR=2.63, 95%CI=2.16-3.20), and having substandard mental health literacy (OR=1.37, 95%CI=1.11-1.70). Conversely, low body weight (OR=0.15, 95%CI=0.10-0.22) and underestimation of body shape (OR=0.37, 95%CI=0.27-0.51) were associated with a lower risk (P<0.05).
Conclusions
The detection rate of subclinical eating disorders among college students is high, and it is associated with relationship status, body mass index classification, body shape perception, depressive and anxiety symptoms, and mental health literacy. Comprehensive interventions should be implemented to improve the subclinical eating disorders and promote the physical and mental health of college students.

OBJECTIVETo compare the effect differences between auricular intradermal needling combined with erjian (HX) bloodletting and oral administration of western medicine, and to explore the efficacy of neuroendocrine level in patients with perimenopausal insomnia.
METHODSNinety patients were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 45 cases in each one. In the observation group, auricular intradermal needling combined with erjian (HX) bloodletting were adopted alternately in the two ears. The auricular points were shen (CO), xin (CO), gan (CO), shenmen (TF), jiaogan (AH), neifenmi (CO) and erjian (HX). The treatment was required once 3 days on the auricular points of one side alternatively. Oral administration of estazolam (1mg each day) was applied in the control group for 2 courses, 4 weeks as 1 course, once a day. The scores of Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), the levels of serum estrogen (E), 5-hydroxy tryptamine (5-HT) and norepinephrine (NE) were valuated in the two groups before and after treatment.
RESULTSAfter treatment, the total scores of PSQI reduced in the two groups (both <0.05), and the improvements of sleeping quality, sleeping time, sleeping difficulty, daytime dysfunction and the total PSQI score in the observation group were superior to those in the control group (all <0.05). There was no significant difference in serum E before and after treatment in the two groups, and between the two groups after treatment (all >0.05). After treatment, 5-HT contents increased and NE levels decreased in the two groups (all <0.05), with better results in the observation group (both <0.05). The total effective rate was 95.6% (43/45) in the observation group, which was higher than 82.2% (37/45) in the control group (<0.05).
CONCLUSIONAuricular intradermal needling combined with erjian (HX) bloodletting can improve the sleep quality of patients with perimenopausal insomnia, and adjust the neurotransmitter level, which achieves better effect than western medication.
