BACKGROUND:Keloids are the result of abnormal post-traumatic skin restoration, which are characterized with overgrowth and progressive enlargement, invasion of adjacent normal skin tissue, extension beyond the scope of the original wound. Given the high recurrence, treatment with surgery alone is meaningless and, therefore, comprehensive treatment of surgery and other approaches is required. OBJECTIVE:To explore the clinical curative effect of local injection after timely removal of auricle keloid core. METHODS:Twenty patients with auricle keloid were enroled. After keloid core excision, the time interval within the incision scar tissue injection of fluorouracil or triamcinolone acetonide add lidocaine or monotherapy was gradualy lengthened, and if necessary the proper amount of compound betamethasone was added according to scar conditions. The injection dose was adjusted timely based on the regression of scar. The treatment effect was observed for 12 to 24 months. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Of 36 auricle keloids from 20 patients, the comprehensive treatment was effective in 1 keloid, and other 35 keloids were cured. The effective rate was 100%, the completely cured rate was 97.2% and the excelent rate was 2.8%. These findings indicate that minimaly invasive excision of keloid core and the epithelial flap coverage combined with 5-fluorouracil and corticosteroid injection is a safe and effective method to treat auricle keloids.

Objective To study the effect of mental intervention on pregnant result in patients undergoing IVF-ET treatment. Methods 206 patients undergoing IVF-ET treatment in the hospital from February 2012 to Jan-uary 2013 were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The experiment group (n=103) was followed by mental intervention after the patients enrolled the IVF-ET treatment, the control group (n=103) enrolled the IVF-ET treatment without mental intervention. Results The HAMA and HAMD quantity grades for anxious and depression of patients in the experiment group were significantly lower than those of control ( <0.01), and the pregnancy rate of experiment group (45.63%) was higher than that of control (30.10%) <0.05. Conclusion Mental intervention for patients undergoing IVF-ET treatment could alleviate their anxiety-depression and improve the pregnancy rate of IVF.

In June 2018, the hyaluronic acid chin augmentation was performed on a 24-year-old female patient in Xi′an Goose Pagoda Beauty Hospital. After surgery, the patient′s left half of the tongue became pale and turned to dark purple thereafter. The patient had pain and discomfort in tongue, accompanying with pharyngeal swallowing difficulty. It was speculated that the refluxed hyaluronic acid from submental artery to the left lingual artery. Hyaluronidase was immediately injected. The thrombolytic, vasodilatory, and prophylactic antibiotic treatment were assisted. After 8 days, the pain of tongue was significantly improved, and the color returned to normal.

Objective:
To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and trends of chronic disease mortality among children aged 0-14 in China during 2012-2021, so as to provide scientific basis for the formulation of prevention strategies for chronic diseases in children.
Methods:
The descriptive epidemiological analysis was conducted for chronic disease mortality among children aged 0-14 during 2012 to 2021 from China Cause of Death Surveillance Data Set, and the Joinpoint regression models were used to analyze the average annual percentage change (AAPC) of child chronic disease mortality.
Results:
From 2012 to 2021, the mortality rates of chronic diseases among children aged 0-14 years in China (23.33/100 000, 19.54/100 000, 19.27/100 000, 17.69/ 100 000 , 16.87/100 000, 16.44/100 000, 14.49/100 000, 13.79/100 000, 11.61/100 000, 9.43/100 000)showed a decreasing trend (AAPC=-7.94%, P <0.01). The overall mortality rates for boys and girls and for chronic diseases were decreasing in both urban and rural areas (AAPC=-8.44%, -7.05%, -8.42%, -6.77%, P <0.05). The average annual mortality rate of chronic diseases was higher in boys (16.81/100 000) than in girls (13.96/100 000) ( χ 2=526.44, P <0.01). The average annual mortality rate from chronic diseases among children was higher in urban (15.98/100 000) than in rural areas (13.46/100 000) in the central region, and higher in rural (19.75/100 000) than in urban areas (15.96/100 000) in the western region ( χ 2=117.63, 190.25, P < 0.01 ). Except for malignant tumors, the trend of overall mortality rates of congenital abnormalities, neurological and mental disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and digestive system diseases were all decreasing (AAPC=-11.48%, -2.92%, -7.82%, -12.51 %, P <0.05).
Conclusions
The overall mortality rate of chronic diseases in children in China shows a downward trend during 2012-2021, but the situation of chronic disease prevention and control is still severe. Targeted prevention strategies should be adopted, focusing on the prevention and health care of males, children under 5 years old.
