1.Clinical study on acupuncture for primary insomnia

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Acupuncture at Baihui (GV 20), Sishencong (EX-HN 1) and Anmian [Extra, locates at the midpoint between Yiming (EX-HN 14) and Fengchi (GB 20)] for primary insomnia. Methods: A total of 112 patients with primary insomnia were randomized into an acupuncture group and a medication group according to the visiting sequence, 56 cases in each group. The acupuncture group was intervened by acupuncture at Baihui (GV 20), Sishencong (EX-HN 1) and Anmian [Extra, locates at the midpoint between Yiming (EX-HN 14) and Fengchi (GB 20)], and points selected based on syndrome differentiation, while the medication group was by oral intake of zopiclone tablet. The Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) was measured before and after treatment, and the clinical efficacy was compared after 1 month of treatment. Results: After treatment, subscales of PSQI and global score in the acupuncture group were improved, and intra-group comparisons showed statistical differences (all P<0.05); subscales of sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration and global score of PSQI in the medication group were improved, showing statistical differences (all P<0.05). Inter-group comparison of global and subscales scores of PSQI showed statistical differences (all P<0.05). The total effective rate in the acupuncture group was 92.9%, higher than 67.9% in the medication group, and between-group comparison showed a statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion: Acupuncture at Baihui (GV 20), Sishencong (EX-HN 1) and Anmian [Extra, locates at the midpoint between Yiming (EX-HN 14) and Fengchi (GB 20)] as the main treatment method can produce a better effect than oral intake of zopiclone tablet.

Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) comprises a heterogeneous group of malignant disorders.The diagnosis of MDS has always been the focus of attention of hematologists all over the world.From the FAB classification to 2008 WHO classification,the diagnosis of MDS has changed from completely morphological diagnosis to multi-parameter diagnosis.Nowadays,the diagnosis of MDS should involve multiple parameters concerning morphology,histochemistry,cytogenetics and immunology.
3.A Study on Hemorheoiogy,Platelet-Activating and Hemostasis in Severe Asphyxiated Newborns

Objective To study the hemorheology,platelet-activating and hemostasis of severe asphyxiated newborns. Methods Erythrocyte filtration index(IF) ,granule membrane glycoprotein (GMP-140),D-dimer(DD) and yon Willebrand factor(vWF) were measured in 60 severe asphyxiated term newborns and 20 healthy term newborns. The effect of platelet-activating-factor (PAF) antagonist-EGb761 were also obserred. 60 term newborns with severe asphyxia were divided into two groups :treatment group(n= 30) and control group(n = 30). Results During the first day of life the IF,GMP-140,vWF and DD of the severe asphyxiated newborns increased significantly compared with those of healthy newborns(P0.05). Conclusion 1. Severe asphyx iated newborns vary in hemorheology,platelet-activating and hemostasis,which leads to disturbance of microcirculation and organ injury. 2. PAF plays a role in the pathophysiologic process, and PAF antagonist can improve the microcirculation of severe asphyxiated newborns.

9.Clinical study of laparoscopic renal cyst decortication in polycystic kidney

ObjectiveToevaluatetheclinicalvalueoflaparoscopicrenalcystdecorticationandopencyst decortication surgery in the treatment of polycystic kidney disease.Methods Various clinical parameters were retro-spectively analyzed in 108 patients with polycystic kidney,include laparoscopic 60cases and open surgery 48cases.The observation indexes include operative time,operative bleeding,restoration time of bowel functions,postoperative drain-age volume,hospital time,postoperative complications,kidney function,blood pressure,and the clinical effects were estimated.Results In the laparoscopic group,the average operation time was (57.7 ±13.2) min,the average blood was (35.9 ±17.3)mL,the average time of exsufflation was (1.6 ±0.7)d,the average postoperative drainage volume was (23.2 ±4.3)mL,the average hospital time was (5.1 ±0.8)d.As compared with the open surgery group,the op-eration time,hospital stay,operative bleeding,postoperative drainage and hospital time of the laparoscopic group short-ened significantly(all P<0.05).The complication rate of the laparoscopic group and open surgery group were 5.0%and 16.7%separately.The complication incidence was significantly lower in the laparoscopic group than that in the open surgery group(P<0.05).At 3 months postoperative,the levels of serum creatinine(Cr),urea nitrogen(UN)and systolic blood pressure were obviously decreased compared with preoperative.There were no significant difference be-tween the two groups(P>0.05).The follow-up data showed that the cure rate and effective rate of the open surgery group were 81.2%and 18.8%,and the cure rate and effective rate of the laparoscopic group were 85.0% and15. 0%respectively.There were no significant difference of the clinical effects between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion The laparoscopic was superior to the open surgery in the operation time,hospital time,operative bleed-ing,postoperative drainage and hospital time.Laparoscopic renal cyst decortication in polycystic kidney is open surgery safer,little injury,quick recovery.Laparoscopic renal cyst decortication is safe and effective therapy,which can be used as primary surgical treatment for patients with polycystic kidney.
10.Effects of downregulation of CD147 in the mobility of thyroid cancer cell SW579 and its mechanisms

Objective To detect the effects and mechanisms of CD147 in thyroid cancer cell SW579. Methods RT-PCR and Western-blot were used to determine the levels of CD147 mRNA and protein in SW579 cells after treated with CD147 specific small interference RNA (siRNA). The proliferative ratio of SW579 cells after treated with CD147 siRNA was detected by CCK-8 assay. We detected the changes of cellular mobility after treated with CD147 siRNA by transwell assay. Mobility related proteins were analyzed by western-blot. Results The proliferative ratio and the mobility of SW579 cells were inhibited significantly by down-regulation of CD147. The levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were lower in treated cells than untreated ones. Expression of Wave 2 and a mobility related protein were decreased in accompany with down-regulation of CD147. Conclusion Down-regulation of CD147 inhibits mobility of SW579 by suppressing MMP-2, MMP-9 and WAVE 2.
