OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of drugs in hospital under the condition of the separation of drug and medical care. METHODS:The volumes of business,income from drug and income condition of medical staff were compared before and after implementation of separation of drug and medical care. The chance for pharmaceutical work under the condition of the separation of drug and medical care were analyzed to put forward advice for improvement of drug use in medical institutions. RESULTS & CONCLUSION:After conducting Wuhu model in 8 medical institutions,some achievement and experience have been obtained. It should be propelled to implement effective administration for rational use of drugs to resolve the problems on over expensive medical service.

Objective To investigate the influencing conditions of human epidermal stem cells(ESCs) differentiating into gland-like cells and to identify the induced tubular structure.Methods The ESCs were seeded onto compound polysaccharide shell dermal matrix and collagen gel,adding different concentrations of epidermal growth factor(EGF) and culturing by vertical shaking in vitro,the three dimensional culture and induced directional differentiation were performed.The means of HE staining,immunofluorescence and confocal laser scanning microscope were adopted to observe the conditions,morphology and phenotype change of ESCs directionally differentiating into glandular epithelium-like cells.Results 15-20 ng/mL EGF could induce ESCs in tissue-engineering dermis to grow into dermis and appear the gland-like structure.The HE staining in this structure showed its profile as a single layer with lacune in the middle compartment,eosinophilic cytoplasm,lightly stained.Under CLSM,by CK19 staining,the luminal structure in the middle of the cell mass was observed,while CK18 and CEA were expressed in this structure.Conclusion Under the induction of particular concentration of EGF,the in vitro cultured human ESCs seeded on the tissues engineering dermis could form into the tubular structure,which is similar to the in vivo sweat gland secretory cells in morphology and histology.

Objective:To compare the time domain and the frequency domain of speech-evoked auditory brainstem response measured by stimulation of left and right ears, and to explore the difference and possible reasons of neural coding for speech from different ears in auditory brainstem.Method:Speech-ABRs to syllable /da/ of 31 healthy adults were recorded. Statistical analysis was performed on time-domain parameters, such as latencies and amplitudes of featured peaks, and frequency-domain ones, such as amplitudes of the fundamental frequency and the first formant of speech-ABRs ranging from 20-50 ms. A scoring criterion to grade the appearance of featured waves was proposed for waveform evaluation.Result:There were no significant difference for the latencies of binaural featured peaks and amplitudes of feature peaks(except peaks A and O). The waveform scores of right ear were greater than that of left ear. The amplitudes of fundamental frequency of binaural waves were both greater than that of the first formant. There was no significant difference of amplitudes of fundamental frequency and the first formant between two ears.Conclusion:The origins and distributions of speech-ABR are essentially symmetrical in brainstem in contrast with the hemisphere asymmetry of speech.

Objective To investigate the effective methods for detecting the susceptibility of Staphylococcus aureus to Vancomycin. Methods An isolate of h-VRSA (heterogeneous Vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) isolated from clinical specimen was inoculated on the increasing concentration of vancomycin agars. Varied degree of vancomycin of resistant S. aureus were obtained. The susceptibilities of these S. aureus to vancomycin were tested by agar screening test, broth microdilution method, E-test, disk diffusion method and automated methods. Results Agar screening test, broth microdilution method and E-test are effective for detection of vancomycin-intermediate S. aureus VISA, but disk diffusion and automated methods could not detect VISA. Conclusion Broth microdilution method and E-test are acceptable methods for susceptibility testing of S. aureus to vancomycin. The laboratories using automated methods and disk diffusion method as routine susceptibility test should consider adding a vancomycin agar screen plate to enhance detection of VRSA and VISA.

Objective:To investigate the speech-evoked brainstem response (speech-ABR) of normal young people under different recording periods,which can provide the experimental evidences for researches on the stability of speech-ABR and promote its applications in clinical researches.Methods:40 healthy young people were randomly divided into two groups,which were tested following the same protocol at different time of two months interval.Latencies and amplitudes of the feature peaks in these groups were compared and the rates of appearance (detection rate) of the feature peaks were analyzed statistically.Results:Speech-ABRs were recorded successfully in two groups.The latencies and amplitudes of feature peaks in these groups were not different statistically,and the detection rates of V,A,C and F peaks were higher than others.Conclusion:The speech-ABRs of the two groups are stable,and the V,A,C and F peaks can be used as important indicators of clinical observation,showing that Speech-ABR is a promising tool in the study of Speech perception mechanism.

OBJECTIVE To explore the latency characteristics of speech evoked auditory brainstem response(speech-ABR)from healthy Chinese adults by different stimulation intensities and its significance in neural encoding of speech in the brainstem. METHODS ABRs to speech syllables of 32 subjects were recorded in four stimulus intensities varied from 20 to 80 dB SPL by 20 dB steps, under 11.1/s stimulus rate. A set of featured waves were determined under these intensities, and then the characteristics of their latencies were analyzed. RESULTS A series of featured waves were observed starting from onset response(including V and A waves), transitional C wave, then following frequency-following responses(FFRs), and the offset O wave. Marine actinomyces LYG-1 was isolated from marine mud flats in Lianyungang,China.Strain LYG-1 was identified using the methods of morphology,physiological and ehemotaxonomic characterization and 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis.The results showed that strain LYG-1 was a marine variable species of Streptomyces roseosporus.The fermentation broth of strain LYG-1 exhibited conspicuous antitumor activity against HepG2,MCF-7,HCT116 and MDA-MB-231 cell lines,and the IC50 values were defined by MTT method respectively.

Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics and risk factors of alcoholic liver disease (ALD) combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods:The clinical data of 70 patients with ALD combined with T2DM (ALD + T2DM group) who received treatment from March 2015 to March 2020 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical data of 69 patients with ALD (ALD group) and 69 patients with T2DM (T2DM group) who concurrently received treatment were also analyzed. Sex, age, body mass index, drinking habits and other basic information in the three groups were collected. The risk factors of ALD combined with T2DM were evaluated by logistic regression analysis.Results:The daily alcohol intake and years of drinking in the ALD + T2DM group were (110.97 ± 79.78) g/d and (25.17 ± 10.05) years, respectively, which were significantly higher than (91.48 ± 64.26) g/d and (21.78 ± 8.91) years respectively in the ALD group ( t = 1.699, 2.102, both P < 0.05). The incidence of metabolic syndrome in the ALD + T2DM group was 34.3% (24/70), which was significantly higher than 15.9% (11/69) in the ALD group ( χ2 = 6.210, P < 0.05). The activity ratio of aspartate aminotransferase/alanine aminotransferase, total bilirubin level, gamma glutamyl transpeptidase activity in the ALD + T2DM group were 1.59 ± 0.93, (64.73 ± 39.90) μmol/L, (522.93 ± 353.66) U/L, respectively, which were significantly higher than (1.04 ± 0.53), (10.37 ± 4.51) μmol/L, (35.73 ± 23.99) U/L, respectively in the T2DM group ( t = 4.280, 3.780, 5.045, all P < 0.05). Triacylglycerol level in the ALD + T2DM group was significantly higher than that in the ALD group [(1.69 ± 1.04) mmol/L vs. (1.28 ± 0.87) mmol/L, t = 2.523, P < 0.05). Prothrombin time and lactate dehydrogenase activity in the ALD + T2DM group were (13.13 ± 2.79) s and (226.17 ± 79.93) U/L, respectively, which were significantly higher than (10.41 ± 0.84) s, (172.63 ± 39.34) U/L, respectively in the T2DM group ( t = 7.715, 4.969, both P < 0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that prothrombin time, triacylglycerol level, years of drinking, gamma glutamyl transpeptidase activity, and amount of drinking were the main risk factors for ALD combined with T2DM ( OR = 2.010, 3.270, 1.230, 1.060, 1.006, all P < 0.05). Conclusion:Patients with ALD combined with T2DM are prone to metabolic syndrome and lipid disorders, which may aggravate the disease. Prothrombin time, triacylglycerol level, years of drinking play an important role in the development of ALD combined with T2DM.

AIM: To design a simple and effective auxiliary device for detection of the compound action poten-tial (CAP) and the force on the isolated sciatic nerve and gastrocnemius in toads, and to investigate its practicability. METHODS: A simple “L” shape device (L tube), which was composed of a nerve chamber and an organ bath, was made for fixing the isolated sciatic nerve and gastrocnemius.After fixing, the sciatic CAP and the gastrocnemius force were detected by BL-420S data acquisition and analysis system.The specimens were radomly divided into control group, and the lidocaine nerve and muscle groups.The sciatic nerve or gastrocnemius of each lidocaine group was firstly treated with the corresponding concentration of lidocaine, and then washed out with Ringer’s solution, and its reversible anesthetic action on nerve conduction and muscle force was analyzed to verify the practicability of the L tube device.RESULTS: The CAP and the force of the sciatic-gastrocnemius specimens were detected concurrently by fixing the specimens in the L tube, and the liquid in the nerve chamber and organ bath was changed easily.Compared with the control, lidocaine at 0.05 and 0.2 g/L significantly increased the sciatic threshold stimulus voltage and maximal stimulus voltage (P <0.05), prolonged the absolute refractory period (P <0.01), and slowed down the conduction velocity (P <0.01).Lidocaine at 1 g/L complete-
ly blocked the sciatic conduction.The rest tension of the gastrocnemius was increased, and the maximal twitch force was decreased significantly by 1 g/L lidocaine (P <0.01), but the threshold and maximal stimulus voltage did not show statis-tic difference.The parameters of the sicatic nerve and gastrocnemius completely or partially recovered to the control level after washing out.CONCLUSION: As an auxiliary device, L tube makes the detection of CAP and force on the isolated sciatic nerve and gastrocnemius in toads more conveniently.
