The pharmacologic effects of verapamil (Ver) and phenylephrine(PE)on the smooth muscle of the human fallopian tube in vitro and their relationship to the stages of menstrul cycle were observed respectively. The results demonstrated that both the ampulla and isthmus of the human fallopian tube produced a contractive response to PE, which was antagonized by phentolamine. The PD_2 and PA_2 valucs were larger during the proliferative phase than during the secretory phase in the circular and longitudinal muscle of the isthmus. But there was no difference between the circular and longitudinal muscle. Ver supressed the activity of the human fallopian tuba smooth muscle and antagonized the effects of PE.The PD_2~' values were larger during the secretory phase than during the prolifertive phase. These pharmacologic characte risties of the tube indicated that d-adrenoceptor of the longitudinal muscle of the is thmus may be important, like the circular muscle in the regulation of ovum transport.

The effects of DL-tetrahydropalmatine andsinomemine on the activity of oviduct smooth mus-cle and ovum transport in rabbits are reported inthis paper. The results indicate that the two a-gents apparently inhibit the contractile activity ofoviduct isthmic smooth muscle of rabbit in vitroand decrease the frequency, amplitude, tensionand curve areas of the contraction. The contractileffect induced by noradrenaline is also inhibited re-markbly by them. In addition, DL-THP and Sino.can delay ovum transport in rabbit oviduct after ivHCG 48 h. It is suggested that the inhibition ofactivity of oviduct smooth muscle may be one ofthe important causes of delaying egg transportcaused by the two agents.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
Calcium blockers verapamil ( VER ) and nifedipine ( NIF ) appa-rentely inhibited the spontaneous activity of isolated rat oviduct. The 5 min contractile curve aera determined by integrator, after eithet VER or NIF effected, was smaller than that before, with dose dependence. In rats pregnanant for 3d VER and NIF accelerated ovum transport through oviduct. The number of ovum recovered from uterus in test group was more than that in control group. Paired experiments showed VER and NIF having no anti-implantation action.

Objective To establish the HPLC fingerprint for the quality control of Yanhuanglian Injections. Methods HPLC Chromatography method was used. The conditions included a Shim-pack CLC-ODS column(250 mm?6.0 mm,5 ?m),the gredient elution was adopted with acetonitrile-buffer solution(1∶1),the detection wavelength was at 285 nm,and the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min.The Operating Standard of Similarty Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprint of Chinese Materia Medica(Version 2004A)was used to calculate. Results Similarity of 13 batches of injections was over 0.95,the fingerprint of Yanhuanglian Injections was established, and 12 common peaks were indicated. Conclusion This method can be applied to the quality control of Yanhuanglian Injections.
