Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of different operative methods for nasal septal spur/ridge elevated deviation. Methods A total of 134 patients with nasal septal spur/ridge elevated deviation were randomly divided into endoscopic surgery group and control group. Patients in the endoscopic group were treated with nasal septoplasty under intranasal endoscopy, while those in the control group were treated with traditional submucous correction of nasal septum. Therapeutic effects and causes of operative success were analyzed. Results The therapeutic efficacy in endoscopic surgery group was significantly superior to that in the control group ( P

Objective To compare the treatment effect of laparoscopic appendectomy(LA) and open appendectomy (OA). Methods One hundred and forty-five cases of LA performed from May 2003 to May 2005, and 142 cases of OA performed from June 2001 to March 2003 were studied retrospectively. Results There was no difference in operative time between group LA and group OA. In the procedure of LA, some occult disease could be discovered and treated, while OA was not. The administration of analgesic, activity time, incidence of incision infection and hospital stay in group LA were better than those of OA group. While the cost of hospitalization in LA was higher than that of OA. Conclusion LA has significant advantages in treating appendicitis and it should be promoted.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of ITGAV and the radiosensitivity of NSCLC cells. Methods The expression of ITGAV in NSCLC and its relationship to the prognosis of patients who received radiotherapy were analyzed using bioinformatics methods. Differences in radiosensitivity between radio-resistant cells and parent cells were verified by clone formation experiment, and the protein expression of ITGAV was detected by Western blot. The transfection efficiency of si-ITGAV was determined by Western blot and qRT-PCR analyses. The best ITGAV interference sequence was selected to transfect A549R and H1299R cells. Clone formation experiment and flow cytometry were used to detect clone formation, apoptosis and cell cycle of A549R and H1299R cells. Results The expression of ITGAV in NSCLC tissues was significantly higher than that in normal tissues (

Diabetic cardiomyopathy is one of the leading causes of heart failure and death in diabetic patients. There is classic evidence of ferroptosis in the development of diabetic cardiomyopathy, which proves that ferroptosis is correlated with the diabetic cardiomyopathy.Oxidative stress caused by excessive production of reactive oxygen species and loss of antioxidant capacity is considered to be the main mechanism leading to diabetic cardiomyopathy. As one of the key regulatory factors of oxi-dative stress, nuclear factor E2-related factor 2(NRF2)and its target gene play an important role in the prevention and treat-ment of diabetic cardiomyopathy. This article summarizes the mechanism of ferroptosis and the pathogenesis of diabetes cardio-myopathy,and expounds the relationship between them, and focuses on the molecular mechanism of NRF2 in the development of diabetic cardiomyopathy and its targeted treatment effect.

Objective This paper summarizes the research progress of biosynthesis and pharmacological effects of podophyllotoxin drugs,in order to provide reference for the wide application of these drugs. Methods The plant source, chemical structure, action mechanism and synthesis pathway of podophyllotoxin drugs were summarized. The pharmacological and toxicological characteristics and mechanisms of these drugs were discussed, and the research progress of new dosage forms of podophyllotoxin drugs was reviewed. Results Podophyllotoxin and its derivatives are important chemical constituents in the plants of the podophyllum, such as Dysosma versipellis,Diphylleia sinensis,Sinopodophyllum hexandrum. This kind of drug has few natural sources and can be artificially produced through chemical and biosynthetic pathways.Podophyllotoxin drugs have pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor and anti-virus,but their toxic effects need to be paid attention to.Drugs can be transported by carriers to reduce toxicity and increase effect. Conclusion Podophyllotoxin drugs have broad clinical application prospects, and will be further studied and applied in the fields of anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor and anti-virus in the future.

With the wide application of artemisinin and its derivatives, its safety has become particularly important.Previous studies have shown that artemisinin and its derivatives have adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea in clinical use,but they are all within the controllable range. In animal experiments,it has toxic effects on kidney, liver, heart, nerve, blood, embryo and DNA at a high dose.Toxicity and adverse reactions can be alleviated or eliminated by combining medication or changing the drug administration mode, solvent and preparation type. This article mainly discusses the drug safety, toxicity mechanism and attenuation countermeasures of artemisinin and its derivatives,in order to improve the understanding of the potential toxicity of artemisinin and its derivatives and provide reference for the safe use of the drug in clinic.

Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation can be attributed to the category of xinji (palpitations) and zhangchong (severe palpitations) in traditional Chinese medicine, and its onset has the characteristics of urgency, change, and movement, which is similar to the characteristics of diseases induced by wind pathogen. It is believed that the internal movement of wind pathogen runs through the whole course of this disease, and palpitations due to wind as the direct pathogenesis. Palpitations caused by wind pathogen showed different characteristics of deficiency and excess pattern. In the acute exacerbation period, excess wind is the main cause of disease. For excessive heat generating wind, the treatment is to clear the liver and extinguish wind by self-modified Lingxia Qinggan Decoction (羚夏清肝汤); for blood stasis generating wind, the treatment is to remove blood stasis and stop wind by self-modified Yandan Limai Decoction (延丹理脉汤); for phlegm-heat accumulation with wind, the treatment is to dissolve phlegm and eliminate wind by self-modified Lianlou Danxing Decoction (连蒌胆星汤). In the prolonged recovery period, deficiency wind is more common. For stirring of wind due to yin deficiency, the treatment is to nourish yin and extinguish wind by self-modified Zaoshao Zhenzhu Deoction (枣芍珍珠汤); for spleen deficiency generating wind, the treatment is to strengthen spleen and nourish wind by self-modified Shenying Dingji Deoction (参英定悸汤). Clinical prescriptions closely follow the characteristics of wind, weigh the changes of deficiency and excess, tailor with the patterns, and regulate qi and blood of the zang-fu organs, in order to extinguish wind and arrest convulsion.
