Objective To compare the effects of different spleen-strengthening recipes on water-electrolyte metabolism and water transport in rat model of spleen-deficiency syndrome. Methods The male Wistar rats were randomly assigned into the normal group and spleen-deficiency model group. The rat model of spleen-deficiency was established by overstrain plus disordered diet method. On the 15th modeling day, the model rats were randomly assigned into model group , Buzhong Yiqi Tang(BYT) group, Si Junzi Tang(SJT) group, Shenling Baizhu San(SBS) group, and the rats except for the model group were treated with gastric gavage of the corresponding medicine in the dosage of 4.05 g·kg-1·d-1. Rats of normal group and model group were given equal volume of normal saline. The medication lasted for 14 days. On the 29th experimental day, we detected serum Na+ and K+, plasma antidiuretic hormone(ADH) and aldosterone(ALD), aquaporin 3(AQP3) in the small intestine and colon, and renal AQP2. Results Compared with the normal group, plasma ADH and ALD levels, serum Na+ level, renal AQP2 content in the model rats were increased significantly, serum K+ and AQP3 content of small intestine and colon mucosa was decreased significantly(P<0.01). Compared with the model group, plasma ADH and ALD levels, serum Na+ level, renal AQP2 content in the three medication groups were decreased significantly, serum K+level and AQP3 in the small intestine and descending colon mucosa was increased significantly(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Of the three medication groups, SBS group had lower ADH, ALD, Na+levels, and higher serum K+level and AQP3 in the small intestine and descending colon mucosa than BYT group and SJT group(P<0.01); SBS group and BYT group had lower renal AQP2 than SJT group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion Rat model with spleen-deficiency syndrome has disordered water-electrolyte metabolism and abnormal water transport. The spleen-strengthening recipes, which have the actions of strengthening spleen, strengthening spleen to drain dampness, strengthening spleen to elevate yang, can improve the disorder of water metabolism to some degrees, and SBS has the best effect.

Objective To observe the effect of fluoxetine on the single prolonged stress model which mimic the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Methods Rats receiving single prolonged stress (SPS) (2 h restraint + 20 min FST + anaesthesized to lose consciousness with ethylether) or not were given fluoxetine or tap water for 15 days. Elevated plus maze(EPM),open-field test(OF) and morris water maze(MWM) tests were used to evaluate rats' fear response to environment, high alertness, anxiety & depression behavior, and learning and memory ability. Results In open field test, group of fluoxetine(F1 (8895. 85 ± 599. 78) mm, (40. 23 ±4. 32) s;F2 (8654.07 ±866.05)mm,(41.57 ±4.34)s, P<0.05) showed significant increase in activity times and horizontal motion distance compared with group of SPS (4678.85 ±495.33)mm, (22.15 ±3.43)s, P<0.05). In EPM experiment, group of fluoxetine(F1 (32. 62 ± 4. 57)% , (17. 58 ± 3. 23)% ; F2 (39. 75 ± 4. 46)% , (19. 74 ± 4.44) %) showed significant increase in percentage of the open-arm into the maze and percentage of the open arm pause compared with group of SPS ((23.67 ±2. 87)% ,(12.46 ±2.55)% , P<0.05). In MWM experiment, the escape latency of the SPS group increased significantly in comparison to that in sham group (P<0.01) and fluoxetine group. Fluoxetine significantly reversed the SPS-induced decrease in time spent in the target quadrant (P< 0.05). Conclusion Added fluoxetine can obviously improve rats' fear response to environment ,high alertness ,anxiety & depression behavior as well as learning and memory ability.

Objective:To summarize the characteristics of neuralgia in Fabry disease and explore the effects of genders and alpha-galactosidase A (GLA) gene mutation types on neuralgia. Methods:Questionnaires and Brief Pain Inventory evaluations were conducted on the recruited patients diagnosed as Fabry disease in Department of Neurology, Peking University First Hospital from January 2001 to April 2020. The characteristics of the neuralgia were summarized, and the portrait of neuralgia between male and female patients, and the patient groups carrying truncated mutations and non-truncated mutations of GLA gene was compared. Results:A total of 93 patients with Fabry disease were enrolled. The incidence of neuralgia was 91.4% (85/93),and the average onset age of pain was 9 years. The average remission age was 20 years with the remission incidence of 22.8% (18/79). Pain attack on extremities [96.5%(82/85)] was the most common form. The neuralgia relieving rate of male patients [17.5%(11/63)] was lower than that of females (7/16, χ2=5.01, P=0.025).Brief Pain Inventory scores showed that the degree of most severe pain attack within 24 hours of male patients (4.16±3.20) was higher than that of females (2.07±2.02, t=3.03, P=0.004),and the impact of pain on daily life [male 4 (7) vs female 0 (4), Z=-2.33, P=0.020], walking ability [male 5 (8) vs female 0 (2), Z=-2.87, P=0.004], daily work [male 5 (8) vs female 0 (2), Z=-3.10, P=0.002], relationship [male 2 (6) vs female 0 (3), Z=-2.67, P=0.008] and interests [male 4 (8) vs female 0 (3), Z=-2.81, P=0.005] of male patients was also higher than female patients. The truncated mutation group [1 (2)] only showed higher score on the current pain level than the non-truncated mutation group [0(0), Z=-2.89, P=0.003]. Conclusions:The neuralgia in Chinese patients with Fabry disease showed high incidence and early onset. Male patients presented more severe pain than female which led to a greater impact on life, while the type of GLA gene mutation had less impact on neuralgia.
