Objective To develop a medical assets management system involving in early warning information platform, barcoding technology and whole-life management. Methods The system was developed based on requirement analysis as well as the technologies of Web,mobile communication, mobile application and etc.Real-time monitoring of the flows of assets and funds were realized by information flow so as to master dynamic information on medical assets. Results Real-time and dynamic management of hospital fixed and circulatory assets were executed with a department,a system and a set of reports, and the problems were solved resulting from over-centralized authority for purchase, warehousing, reporting and etc. Conclusion The system gains advantages in cost control, assets utilization efficiency and etc.

Objective To apply color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) and transcranial Doppler (TCD) to the follow-up observation of the changes of cervical vessel, intracranial hemodynamics and cerebrovascular reserve capacity (CVR) of the patients after carotid artery stent implantation. Methods Totally 96 patients with carotid artery stent implantation underwent CDFI and TCD examinations, and the changes of hemodynamics were compared before and 1 month,6 months,1 a and 2 a after implantation. Results The values of peak systolic velocity (PSV) and resistance index (RI) at the areas of carotid stenosis were lower significantly than those before implantation, while the values of PSV,pulsatility index (PI) and CVR of the middle cerebral artery were obviously higher than those before implantation (P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the cervical and intracranial hemodynamics indexes 1 month,6 months,1 a and 2 a after treatment.Two-year follow-up found 4 cases of restenoses after implantation, and the rate for restenosis was 4.2%.Conclusion Carotid artery stent implantation improves significantly cervical and intracranial blood supply as well as CVR of the carotid stenosis patient, and CDFI combined with TCD can be used for the accurate evaluation of the efficacy and postoperative follow-up of carotid artery stent implantation.

Objective To summarize the experience of integrative palliative care at Peking Union Medi-cal College Hospital and provide a reference for promoting the integrative palliative care model. Methods Twenty cases receiving integrative palliative care at Peking Union Medical College Hospital were collected. The clinical characteristics, reasons for initiating integrative palliative care, the process of integrative palliative care, and feedback from these cases were summarized. Results Insomnia(11 cases,55%)and pain(9 cases,45%)were the most common symptoms requiring control in the 20 cases. The integrative palliative care team assisted in medical decision-making for 17 cases(85%),prepared end-of-life for 9 cases(45%),assisted in the transfer for 3 cases(15%),and provided comfort care for all the 20 cases(100%).Conclusions The integrative palliative care model can help alleviate suffering in end-of-life patients and provide support to patients'families and the original medical teams. This model is worth further promotion within class A tertiary hospitals.
