BACKGROUND:Anesthesia is a protective measure to animals in animal experiments, but the use of the corresponding anesthetic drugs wil have different effects on the experimental results.
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the differences of various indexes and the therapeutic effect ofmyocardial ischemia canine model of coronary stenosis under the condition of consciousness and anesthesia.
METHODS:Twenty Beagle canine myocardial ischemia models were equaly assigned to five groups, and prepared according to the complete orthogonal Latin square arrangement for the experiment. Intervention procedures included the normal observation (normal control for 10 minutes, observation for 30 minues), conscious model (after normal control, coronary artery stenosis for 10 minutes, and observation for 30 minutes), conscious treatment (after normal control, coronary artery stenosis for 10 minutes, 50 μg/kg nitroglycerin sublingualy buccal, and observation for 30 minutes), anesthesia model (animals received anesthesia; after normal control, coronary artery stenosis for 10 minutes, and observation for 30 minutes), anesthesia treatment (animals received anesthesia; after normal control, coronary artery stenosis for 10 minutes, 50 μg/kg nitroglycerin sublingualy buccal, and observation for 30 minutes). Werecorded canine electrocardiogram, blood pressure, heart rate and body temperature level when animals were conscious after coronary artery stenosis, and mean arterial blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, electrocardiogram ST segment changes in conscious and anesthetic states in myocardial ischemia dogs, and observed the therapeutic effect of nitroglycerin on conscious and anesthetic states in myocardial ischemia dogs.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The electrocardiogram, blood pressure, heart rate and body temperature were changed after the coronary artery stenosis in conscious dogs, and the ST segment of electrocardiogram was significantly increased. The blood pressure and heart rate were significantly higher than that in the conscious state (P< 0.05),and the ST segment of electrocardiogram in dogs was significantly increased in conscious and anesthetic states. After the treatment of nitroglycerin, the effect was obvious in the myocardial ischemia model in conscious state. The results showed that the model of myocardial ischemia and the clinical fitting degree were higher, which could reduce the effect of anesthesia on the experimental results.

Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine 2011;50(7):568-571
Objective To investigate the risk factors of worsening renal function (WRF) in patients with chronic heart failure ( CHF) and WRF influence on prognosis. Methods A case-control study were undertaken to analyze independent risk factor statistically related to incidence of WRF, and to assess the influence of WRF on prognosis. Results The independent predictors of WRF were creatinine level at admission (OR 2.248,95% CI 1.088-4.647, P = 0.029) and NYHA class on admission ( OR 2.485, 95% CI 1.3854. 459, P = 0.002). The mortality of patient with WRF was obviously higher than that of control group during hospitalization( OR 3. 824,95% CI 2. 452-5. 637 ,P <0.015). Conclusions WRF is a common complication among patients hospitalized for CHF, and is obviously associated with mortality during hospitalization. Higher creatinine level and weak heart function are independent risk factors for incidence of WRF of patients with CHF.

Objective To detect the features of MRI of children leukodystriphies and to provide a heplful method for clinical diagnosis. Methods The MRI examination was performed in 50 children with leukodystrophies and the cerebral lobes and cerebral special structures involved by lesions were analyzed. Results 1.There were dominant signs of involving parietal and occipital lobes in ALD,besides the two lobes, the frontal lobe was also involved easily in MLD.All lobes were involved in CD and PMD,and frontal lobe was involved in AD early. The central white matter was involved mainly in ALD,but the central white matter was involed only in MLD and the periphery white matter was spared. The central and periphery white matter were all involved in CD,PMD and AD.Furthermore, the cerebellar white matter is also easily involved in ALD and CD.2.The splenium of corpus callosum was mainly involved in ALD,and the splenium, body and knee of corpus callosum were all involved in MLD.But in CD,PMD and AD,the corpus callosum was spared. The back of the posterior limb of internal capsule was involved in ALD,but the all posterior limb of internal capsule was involved in MLD,and the all internal capsule was involved in CD and PMD.On external capsule,ALD involves its posterior part, but CD and PMD involve its all section.A prominet feature of ALD was involving the corticospinal tract of stem and other leukodystrophies don′t involve the corticospinal tract of stem beside one case later-onset GLD.In addition, the lateral lemmiscus was involved easily in ALD,and thalamus was also involved in ALD,MLD and PMD.Conclusion As a noninvasive, safe and sensitive method,MRI can be used to find the leukodystrophies early. There are relatively characteristic features in different leokodystrophies, which is useful to clinical diagnosis.
10.Pneumoconiosis: high-resolution CT characteristics and patho-physiology.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2010;27(1):219-221
Long-term exposure of the human body to powder-dust environment commonly results in pneumoconiosis, such as silicosis, coal worker's pneumoconiosis and asbestosis. The pathological features of pneumoconiosis include lung's nodules and fibrosis. Plain film and computed tomography (CT) are the main imaging modalities for detecting pneumoconiosis, especially the high-resolution CT (HRCT), multi-detector row CT (MDCT) and related post-processing techniques are helpful in detecting the tiny pathological manifestations of pneumoconiosis so as to make early diagnosis. Furthermore, the functional MDCT could comprehensively assess the pulmonary physiological functions of the patient with pneumoconiosis.
