Epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) targeted treatment has been a standard therapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but it is not tolerated well by all patients. In China, some studies have reported that traditional Chinese medicinal herbs (TCMHs) may increase efficacy and reduce toxicity when combined with EGFR-TKI, but outside of China few studies of this kind have been attempted.

Objective: To prove the clinical therapeutic effect of acute and chronic bronchial asthma with Chuankezhi(CKZ) Injection. Methods: 40 cases of bronchial asthma, including inpatients and outpatients were selected, divided into the attack period group (20) and the relief period group (20). The former was intramuscularly injected CKZ injection 4mL, twice a day, 14 days being a course of treatment. The latter was intramuscularly injected CKZ injection 4mL, twice a day for 15~30 days and 2mL, every other day for 31~90 days; 90 days being a course of treatment. The symptoms and signs, such as asthma, cough, expectroation, pulmonary wheeze were observed. and pulmonary function, absolute eosinophilic granulocyte count and immunogobulin E were measured before and after treatment. Result: By the use of CKZ injection to treat bronchial asthma, the total effective rate amounted to 85% and obvious difference before and after treatment in the two groups ( P

BACKGROUND:Studies have shown that low-intensity and short-time vibration with a certain frequency can reduce the absorption of bone tissue and increase the quantity and quality of bone through promoting the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of different frequencies of vibration strains on cycle, proliferation and differentiation potency of RAW264.7 cel s cultured in vitro.
METHODS:Passage 6 RAW264.7 cel s in good conditions were randomly divided into six groups, and each group was induced cultured with Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium containing receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B ligand. The final concentration of receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B ligand was adjusted to 50μg/L, and then kept without changes. The non-loading group did not loaded with vibration strain, and the other five groups were loaded with 3-10 Hz, 15-35 Hz, 35-45 Hz, 50-70 Hz and 70-90 Hz vibration strains on the RAW264.7 cel s respectively. The other vibration parameters were consistent;the vibration time was 15 min/time with the vibration intensity of 0.3 g, twice per day. The cel cycle and cel proliferation were detected at 3 and 6 days after loading of vibration strains.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After composite vibration loading for 6 days, the cel cycle phase in the vibration groups was changed to some extent when compared with the non-loading group. Compared with non-loading group, the cel number in the G 1 phase of the vibration group was significantly increased (P<0.01);the cel number in the S phase and G 2+M phase of the vibration group was significantly decreased (P<0.01);the vibration parameters in the vibration group were significantly decreased (P<0.01). The results indicate that different frequencies of vibration strains can affect the cel cycle and proliferation, and can inhibit the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts.

Objective To explore the efficacy ofTiaogan-Bushen-Xiaoji recipe (TGBSXJ Recipe) on overall survival and progression free survival (PFS) in patients with advanced breast cancer. Methods A total of 105 patients with advanced breast cancer, who received the first-line treatment, were divided into two groups, 56 cases in the control group and 49 in the experimental group. The control group received standard therapy according to guidelines, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, endocrine therapy and treatment of bisphosphonates. The experimental group received the treatment of TGBSXJ Recipe besides the standard therapy. The overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS) and Karnofsky (KPS) of the patients in two groups were observed and compared. The treatment ended with the sighs of the observation ending, the second progress for the disease or death. Results The overall survival of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group [OS: 58.2(50.7-65.8)/monthsvs. 43.8(30.6-51.6)/months,P=0.040]. The PFS of the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group [PFS: 30.7(23.8-37.7)/monthsvs. 15.2(11.3-19.1)/months,P=0.001]. The KPS of the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group (88.6 ± 10.0vs. 80.5 ± 19.0,t=2.654). The PFS of the triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) in the experimental group was significantly higher than control group [(25.1(12.1-38.0)/monthsvs. 9.9(4.7-15.0)/months,P=0.038].Conclusions The TGBSXJ recipe could extend the OS and PFS and improve the life quality of the patients with advanced breast cancer. In this study, no severe adverse effects had been found in the experimental group.

Objective Broth dilution method was used as a reference method to observe the capability of Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion assay(K-B)for correcting automated ampicillin susceptibility detection of He-mophilus influenzae(HI).Methods A total of 228 HI strains isolated were collected, broth dilution assay,K-B and automated microdilution broth test(ATB)were used to determine the susceptibility of HI to ampicillin. Analyze the essential agreements of the three methods and the correction of K-B to the errors of A TB. Results The essential agreement of K-B or ATB with broth dilution method were 77.19%,70.18% respec-tively,combination of K-B and ATB could make the essential agreement increase up to 86.0%,which was sig-nificantly higher than ATB(χ2=16.600,P=0.000).Major error of ATB(42.0%)was higher than that of K-B(10.0%)(χ2=13.306,P=0.001),but very major error and minor error showed no significant difference be-tween the two methods(χ2=1.208,P=0.272;χ2=1.182,P=0.227),meanwhile,76.19% of major error of ATB could be corrected by K-B.For the very major error of ATB,53.57% could be corrected by K-B.Howev-er,the corrective capability of K-B to minor error of ATB was relative low. Conclusion K-B test could correct some errors generated by ATB.For the β-lactamase negative strains which were judged as ampicillin resistance by A TB,K-B test should be used to correct the errors by ATB.Moreover,it is necessary to apply K-B to confirm am-picillin sensitivity of the β-lactamase positive strains which were judged as ampicillin susceptible by ATB.

【Objective】 To compare the degree, efficacy and safety of testicular catch-up growth after inguinal and subinguinal surgery for adolescent varicocele. 【Methods】 Clinical data of 121 adolescent varicocele patients with secondary testicular atrophy treated during Sep.2014 and Jun.2021 at Huili People’s Hospital were retrospectively analyzed, including 40 cases treated with the inguinal incision approach, and 81 with the subinguinal approach. The characteristics of intraoperative, efficacy, surgical complications and prognosis were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 The inguinal group had significantly shorter microscope usage time (P=0.006), fewer number of preserved internal spermatic arteries (P<0.001), and significantly larger diameter of preserved internal spermatic arteries than the subinguinal group (P=0.005). The subinguinal group required ligation of more internal spermatic veins, and there were significantly more internal spermatic veins with a diameter of 4 mm or more (P<0.001). No recurrence occurred, and the incidences of scrotal edema and hydrocele were very low (P>0.05). Two years after surgery, the bilateral testicular volume of both groups was significantly larger than that before surgery (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in the testicles (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 In the treatment of adolescent varicocele patients with secondary testicular atrophy, the subinguinal approach significantly reduces the difficulty of microsurgical varicocele ligation, and has good efficacy and safety, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
