2.Effective scoring function for protein structure prediction

Objective To design a good scoring function for predicting the tertiary structures of proteins. Methods A scoring function,which was composed of simple sum of pairwise distance-dependent potentials of C?-C?,N-N,C′-C′ and backbone dihedral angle-dependent potentials,was proposed in this paper. Results The performance of the scoring function was verified with experiment to be improved. Conclusion The proposed scoring function is effective and valid in predicting the tertiary structures of proteins.
3.Enhancing Effects of Intraperitoneal Injection with IL-2 Recombinant Adenovirus and IL-3 Recombinant Adenovirus on the Anti-Leukemia Activity of Chemotherapy

The Ad-IL-2 and/or Ad-IL-3 were i. p. injected into experimental leukemic mice after high dose chemotherapy. When Ad - LacZ was i. p. injected into leukemic mice, there were leukemic cells in bone marrow, vessal, liver and spleen. After i. p. injection of Ad-IL-2 and/or Ad-IL-3, the leukemia - bearing mice showed significant inhibition of tumor growth. As i.p. injection of Ad-IL-2, the splenic NK, CTL activity increased; as i. p. injection of Ad - IL - 3, the number and cytotoxicity of peritoneal macrophages were significantly higher than that of the control groups. After i. p. injection of Ad - IL - 2 and Ad - IL - 3 at the same time, the anti - leukemia activity was the best. Though there were less leukemic cells in the bone marrow, there were no leukemic cells in the liver and spleen. Our results suggested that i. p. injection of Ad - IL - 2 and Ad - IL - 3 could significantly enhance the anti - leukemia activity of chemotherapy.
4.Changes of AQP2 expression in the kidney of rat sepsis model

Objective To investigate the expression and the significance of AQP2 in the kidneys of septic rats. Methods Sixty-four Wistar rats of 6 weeks were randomly divided into two groups: sham group and the septic model group. Septic models were made by cecum ligation perforation (CLP). Fach group was divided into 3-hour,6-hour,12-hour and 24-hour subgroups,with 8 rats in each. The urine,blood and kidney sampies were collected. The urine volume ,urine osmotic pressure and renal function were observed. The expressions of AQP2 protein in rats' kidneys were determined by using immunohistochemical method and the expressions of AQP2 mRNA with real-time PCR. The pathological changes of the kidneys were observed under light microscopy. Results After CLP,urea volume of Wistar rats in septic model group decreased and urine osmotic pressure increased at 3 hours; urea volume gradually increased and urine osmotic pressure decreased at 6 hours; Serum Cr and urea nitrogen began to increase at 6 hours and reached the peak at 24 hours. The longer the time lasted after CLP,the more serious the injury of kidney became,which was mainly manifested as that the space between the epithelial cells of the tubular wall disappeared,nucleus disappeared,glomerular loops fused,and cell structure was unclear. Renal mesenchymal was infiltrated with inflammatory cells. AQP2 mRNA expression increased at 3 hours,decreased at 12 hours and 24 hours ,AQP2 protein expression decreased at 12 hours,with the lowest at 24 hours,which were significantly different from those of the sham groups(P<0.05). Conclusion AQP2 may regulate the water metabolism of septic rats' kidney. The decreased AQP2 protein expression is one of the main pathological mechanisms that results in dysfunction of urine concentration in sepsis.

Objeclive To investigate the relationship between carotid atheroselemtic(CAS)plaque and homocysteine(HCY),C-reactive protein(CRP)and ischemie eerebrovasclar desease(ICVD).Methods 468 patients with ICVD and 456 patients without eerebrovaseular disease(control group)were detected by carotid color duplex in IMI,number,size and character of carotid atherosclerosis(CAS) plaque and thelevels of HCY and CRP were evaluated,and compared with normal control group.Results(1)Compare with control group,the IMT,prevalence of CAS plaque,the rates of soft plaque in ICVD group were significantly higher(all P<0.05).(2)The levels of HCY and CRP in ICVD were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05),and in ICVD with plaque subgroup were significantly higher than those in ICVD without plaque subgroup(P<0.05).(3)The prevalence of CAS plaque and IMT were positively correlated with the levels of HCY and CRP(r=0.32,0.30 repectively,P<0.05).Condusion ICVD patients show increased IMT and hJish prevalence of CAS plaque.CAS plaque and hyperhomocystoinemia is an independent risk factor for ICVD.The level of CRP is an important biological marker to evaluate the severity and prognosis of ICVD.
9.The efficacy in aromatase inhibitors and tamoxifen on Luminal postmenopausal breast neoplasms:a systematic review

Objective To evaluate the efficacy in aromatase inhibitors and tamoxifen on Luminal postmenopausal breast neoplasms.Methods PubMED,Science Direct,EBSCO Host,EMbase,The Cochrane Library,CNKI,CECDB and CQVIP were retrieved,the evaluation methodology included.The quality of the included studies and extracted data should be researched rigorously.Review Manager 5.0 software was used to evaluate the quality standards of randomized clinical trial (RCT).Results Twelve RCT were selected,included 2634 patients,1354 cases of treatment group (use aromatase inhibitors),1280cases of control group (use tamoxifen).The results of the evaluation of the system:compared to control group,treatment group significantly improved disease-free survival in 1 year (RR =1.10,95% CI 1.01-1.19),disease-free survival in 3 years (RR =1.09,95% CI 1.05-1.13),the overall efficiency in 1 year (RR =1.21,95% CI 1.12-1.30),furthermore treatment group significantly reduced the incidence of cardiovascular diseases in 3 years (RR =0.47,95% CI 0.27-0.83),but there was no significant difference in the incidence of bone and joint disease in 3 years between the 2 groups (RR =0.99,95% CI 0.61-1.61).Conclusion Compared to tamoxifen,the efficacy of aromatase inhibitors is excellent in treatment of Luminal postmenopausal breast neoplasms,it is worth promoting.
