1.Quality of life and its influencing factors in elderly patients with advanced cancer
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2017;16(2):118-121
Objective To assess the quality of life and its influencing factors in ellerly patients with advanced cancer. Methods The quality of life was evaluated with EORTC QLQ-C30 scale Chinese version in 103 elderly patients with advanced cancer in a hospital outpatient clinic of Beijing from July 2013 to July 2014.The overall health, physical function, role function, cognitive function, emotional function, social function and individual symptoms score were assessed. The general information and clinical data of patients were analyzed. Results The general score of quality of life in elderly advanced cancer patients was (35.77 ± 21.98).In the domain of function the role functional score was the lowest (36.60 ± 27.97);in the domain of symptoms the tired score was the highest(50.82 ± 30.16),the score of appetite loss was the highest in individual symptoms (39.78 ± 24.32).Educational level, marital status, living condition, medical insurance and the number of comorbidities were correlated with overall health in elderly patients with advanced cancer (P < 0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the educational level (t =2.447,P < 0.05),marital status (t =2.118,P < 0.05),medical insurance (t =3.770,P < 0.05) and overall health status were positively correlated with the quality of life scores;and number of eomorbidities (t =-7.157,P < 0.05) was negatively associated with the overall quality of life. Conclusion The quality of life was generally poor in elderly patients with advanced cancer;and educational level, marital status, medical insurance, comorbidities are important influencing factors.
2.Effective scoring function for protein structure prediction
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(01):-
Objective To design a good scoring function for predicting the tertiary structures of proteins. Methods A scoring function, which was composed of simple sum of pairwise distance-dependent potentials of C?-C?,N-N,C′-C′ and backbone dihedral angle-dependent potentials, was proposed in this paper. Results The performance of the scoring function was verified with experiment to be improved. Conclusion The proposed scoring function is effective and valid in predicting the tertiary structures of proteins.

In the research field of quality control in Chinese medicinal materials, variation in active ingredients of medicinal plant is always the key and hot issues. With the development of high-throughput sequencing technologies and reducing cost, a large numbers of genes from medicinal plant were cloning and provide a solid foundation for further research of gene structure and its biological function, and also provides conditions for explore active ingredient variation and its quality control from the perspective of molecular pharmacognosy. This paper introduces the concept of homologous gene, gene duplication and classification. We prospect the function of duplicated genes in the role of molecular mechanism research about variation in active ingredients, aiming at providing a new way for medicinal materials quality control.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(23):4693-4702
As an indispensable part of minority traditional medicine, mineral medicine has used with less dosage and reliable efficacy for the last thousand years. Based on the unearthed relics and medical literatures of past dynasties, the history of Han nationality ap- years, which had been recorded in main literature. But there is less comprehensive report of its usage in the other 55-minority nationality. This article was based on the analysis of ethnic minority literature of thousands of years, and conducted a comprehensive collation and analysis of mineral medicine. It was mostly determined that there was 20 minority groups using mineral medicine, with a total of 163 species (limited our references), and the most used is the Tibetan, accounting for 141. The most serious problems of mineral medicine are that species should be further investigated and researched, and then become the legal commercial medicine, and the classification principles of mineral medicine should be established. Through the traditional processing and experimental studies, the problems of attenuation and detoxification should be solved.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(09):-
Aim To investigate the protective effects of polysaccharides from the rhizomorph of Armillaria mella(AMP-1) on alloxan injured INS-1 cells. Methods Graded concentrations of AMP-1(2,10,50,100,500,1 000 mg?L-1) were added into the culture medium of alloxan injured INS-1 cells. The survival rate was measured by MTT assay. The amount of glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in different concentrations of AMP-1 was determined by radioimmunoassay(RIA).SOD and NOS activity,NO,MDA and GSH production were assayed colorimetrically. Results AMP-1 could reduce oxidative injuries induced by alloxan in INS-1 cells. The survival rate of cells treated with AMP-1 increased significantly. In the presence of 5.6 mmol?L-1 or 16.7 mmol?L-1 glucose,AMP-1(50,100,500,1 000 mg?L-1)increased glucose-induced insulin secretion in INS-1 cells in a dose-dependent manner.NOS levels and the production of NO and MDA decreased significantly by AMP-1,while SOD levels and the production of GSH increased. Conclusions AMP-1 promoted glucose-induced insulin secretion in INS-1 cells by increasing the abilities of scavenging the free radicals induced by alloxan.

Objective To study the T cells lineage polymorphism of TCR BV CDR3 in the peripheral blood of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients,in order to provide experimental basis for the immunological patho-genesis study of AS.Methods Twenty-six subfamilies of CDR3 T cells of TCR BV in the PBMC of AS patients were amplified by RT-PCR method, then TCR BV CDR3 lineages polymorphism were analyzed by immunization scanning spectrum. Results TCR BV CDR3 scanning spectrum of 20 active AS patients showed abnormal distribution peak, including monoclonal,oligoclonal/oligoclonal trend, skewing peak and irregular abnormal peak.Among them, some subfamilies of 18 patients showed oligoclonal/oligoclonal trend expansion,BV16 and BV18 two subfamilies of one case showed monoclonal expansion. Most spectral type of PBMC TCR BV CDR3 in five normal controls showed Gauss distribution. Conclusion TCR BV CDR3 lineage have significant characteristic polymorphism and spectrum drift characteristics in the peripheral blood of AS patients, which further indicate that T cells has plaied an important role in the immunological pathogenesis of AS.Monoclonal/oligoclonal expansion of T cells may be autoreactive T cells in nature and they may be involved in the pathogenesis of AS.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(03):-
This project studied the historical and the present situation about the personnel training model in medical education and its structure. It reestablished the objectives of the medical education and the standards of the training, modified the training program, and the curriculum system, and set up the new teaching plan and syllabus. Through three years of research and implementation, the training model of widening the basic science, breaking into three stages, integrating the courses, optimizing three phases, activating teaching methods and total adaptability had been constructed. And the project had been studied, applied and spread cooperatively with 16 Chinese medical schools.
