AIM: To observe the mechanism of intracellu la r signal transduction that fraction F of naja naja atra venom inhibits plate let aggregation. METHODS: Tests were divided into six groups: (1) blank group; (2 ) control group and (3)-(6) ADP plus fraction F group (doses of fraction F were 100, 30, 10, 3 mg/L, respectively). Protein tyrosine phosphorylation in platelet s was assayed by Western blotting and platelet aggregation was assayed by nephel omete r. Aim Tostudytheantidepressanteffectand mechanism of Gross saponins of Tribulus terrestris. Methods Themodelofdepressionwasestablishedby unpredictable chronic mild stress(UCMS),then open filed test (OFT)and tail suspension test (TST)were used to evaluate the behavioral changes.LC-MS/MS method was employed to measure blood neurotransmit-ters.mRNA expressions of IDO,IL-10 and IL-1βwere detected by quantitative PCR method.Hippocampus protein expression was detected by Western blot.Re-sults Comparedwithcontrolgroup,modelgroup's total distance,number of standing and tail suspension fixed time increased significantly (P <0. 05 ),Neuro-transmitter level of 5-HT in the blood was significantly decreased(P<0. 05 ).mRNA expression of IDO and IL-1βwas increased in hippocampus.Protein expres-sion of IDO was significantly increased in hippocampus (P <0. 05 ).Compared with model group,the treat-ment group was significantly decreased in total distance,number of standing and tail suspension fixedtime(P<0. 05).Neurotransmitter level of 5-HT in the blood and mRNA expression of IL-10 in hippocampus were significantly increased after treatment (P <0. 05 ).mRNA and protein expression of IDO were ob-viously down-regulated in hippocampus (P <0. 05 ). Conclusions GrosssaponinsofTribulusterrestriscan obviously improve rat behavior and show antidepressanteffect,which can increase neurotransmitter level of 5-HT in the blood,down-regulate mRNA expression of IDO and IL-1β,and obviously increase protein expres-sion levels of IDO in hippocampus(P<0. 05 ).
3.Relationship between carotid atherosclerotic plaque and its related factors and ischemic cerebrovascular disease

Objeclive To investigate the relationship between carotid atheroselemtic(CAS)plaque and homocysteine(HCY),C-reactive protein(CRP)and ischemie eerebrovasclar desease(ICVD).Methods 468 patients with ICVD and 456 patients without eerebrovaseular disease(control group)were detected by carotid color duplex in IMI,number,size and character of carotid atherosclerosis(CAS) plaque and thelevels of HCY and CRP were evaluated,and compared with normal control group.Results(1)Compare with control group,the IMT,prevalence of CAS plaque,the rates of soft plaque in ICVD group were significantly higher(all P<0.05).(2)The levels of HCY and CRP in ICVD were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05),and in ICVD with plaque subgroup were significantly higher than those in ICVD without plaque subgroup(P<0.05).(3)The prevalence of CAS plaque and IMT were positively correlated with the levels of HCY and CRP(r=0.32,0.30 repectively,P<0.05).Condusion ICVD patients show increased IMT and hJish prevalence of CAS plaque.CAS plaque and hyperhomocystoinemia is an independent risk factor for ICVD.The level of CRP is an important biological marker to evaluate the severity and prognosis of ICVD.
4.Change and clinical significance of serum myocardial zymogram in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage

Objective To explore the changes and the clinical signficance in serum myocardial zymogram of patients with intracerebral be hemorrhage(ICH).Methods To estimate the serum myocardial zymogram.Serum aspartate aminotrasferase(AST),lactate dehychogenase (LDH),creatine kinas (CK) in patients with ICH were measured in 3 days,then to make comparison with control group.Results The serum myocardial zymogram in ICH group were higher than that of control group(P <0.05).There were different changes in serum myocardial zymogram of various parts.The serum myocardial zymogram in group with temporal lobe damage was higher than that of group without temporal lobe damage (P < 0.05).The serum myocardial zymogram of group with colliculus brain damage was higher than that of group without colliculus brain damage(P <0.05) ,the serum myocardial zymogram of group with disorder of consciousness was higher than that of group wakefulness(P < 0.05).Conclusion There are significant changes in the serum myocardial zymogram of patients with ICH.The incidence of the serum myocardial zymogram in ICH was close]y correlated to the severity area and part of ICH,consciousness disorder.To estimate serum zymogram is helpful to judge patients' state and prognosis.

Objective To compare the applicability between ARF special severity scoring systems and intensive care unit (ICU) general severity scoring systems on predicting the hospital mortality of critical acute renal failure (ARF) patients. Methods The data of 29 patients with critical ARF were retrospectively analyzed. Two ARF special severity scoring models, acute tubular necrosis individual severity index (ATN-ISI) and Stuivenberg hospital acute renal failure scores (SHARF), and 3 ICU general severity scoring models, Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ), APACHE Ⅲ, Mortality Prediction Model Ⅱ (MPM Ⅱ), were used in the analysis. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were drawn up to assess the ability of these models in hospital mortality discrimination. Results All severity scores of the patients in survivor group (n=9) were lower than those of the patients in non-survivor group (n=20). 7.Significance of Detection of Level of Serum Sex Hormone in Healthy Children

Objective To build a normal value of serum sex hormone in the healthy children in favour of the diagnosis of children precocious puberty and the evaluation of the growth of the children.Method Serum of 462 healthy children(aged from 1 month to 14 years;205 females,257 males)was collected,and the level of testosterone(T) and 17-estradiol(E2).Results There were no significant deviation in the levels of E2 of deferent genders between 1-12 months,but the level of T in boys and girls were obviously different.The puberty of boys was la-ter than girls.There was no significant deviation in the level of E2 of the boys in different periods,but the levels of T in boys at different ages were obviously different.Conclusions With the improvement the detection methods,the normal values of the serum sex hormone in healthy children have been changing.It is helpful for diagnosis of children precocious puberty by rebuilding normal values of T and E2 .

The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is overexpressed in many epithelial cancers,and is commonly caused by EGFR gene amplification and gene mutations. The most frequently occurring variant,the type III mutation (EGFRvIII) ,is characterized by an inframe deletion of exons 2-7 of the coding sequence. It is expressed only in tumors and not found in normal tissues, and therefore represents an attractive therapeutic target. The tumor therapy methods targeted for EGFRvIII include immu-notherapy, ribozyme, RNA interference, etc.

Objective To assess the value of color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) in indicating the recurrence and prognosis of liver cancer.Methods Two hundred and eighty-seven patients with primary liver cancer were enrolled,thirty-seven cases received operations ( 12.9% ).The size,profile,margin,echogen,blood supply of the tumors were observed preoperatively by CDFI. 10.Preliminary study of energy loss in left ventricle obtained by vector flow mapping in patients with hypertension

Objective To quantitatively analyze the energy loss (EL) in left ventricle with vector flow mapping (VFM) in hypertensive patients,and try to reveal the correlation of EL with cardiac structure and function.Methods Hypertension group:52 hypertensive individuals were enrolled in our study,divided into 4 subgroups:①14 patients with normal geometry(NG);②20 patients with concentric remodeling(CR);③15 patients with concentric hypertrophy(CH);④3 patients with eccentric hypertrophy(EH)(not enrolled in subgroup analysis).Health control group were composed of 32 healthy volunteers.LVEF,LVMI and E/e′ were measured.And the EL in left ventricle was measured at different phases and different segments based on VFM images.Results ①EL comparison:in the phrase of late diastole(DL),isovolumic contraction(IVC) and rapid ejection(RE),compared with the control group,EL in entirety and each segment of left ventricle in hypertension group increased (P<0.05);Compared with the control group,EL in entirety and each segment of left ventricle in each subgroup of hypertension increased (P<0.05);EL among different subgroups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);②Correlation analysis:in the phrase of DL,IVC and RE,EL in entirety and each segment of left ventricle showed significant positive correlations with LVMI and with E/e′ (P<0.05).In the phrase of DL,EL in entirety and each segment of left ventricle showed significant negative correlations with LVEF(P<0.05).Conclusions EL measured quantitatively by VFM is more sensitive to reflect the changes of hemodynamic in hypertensive individuals.EL is closely correlated with cardiac structure and function.
