China Pharmacist 2014;(11):1935-1936
Objective: To discuss the curative effect of trace hormone combined with antibacterial drugs on bacterial keratitis. Methods:Totally 80 cases of patients with bacterial keratitis were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group at random. The patients in the two groups were given medical treatment with sensitive antibiotics, while the patients in the observation group were additionally given trace cortisol. The clinical curative effect and vision recovery time in the two groups after the 3-week treatment were observed, and the occurrence of complications in the 2-month following-up after the medical treatment was compared as well. Results:After the 3-week medical treatment, the clinical effective rate and vision recovery effective rate in the observation group were much higher than those in the control group (P<0. 05). In the 2-month following-up after the medical treatment, the occurrence of complications in the observation group was much lower than that in the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion:Trace hormone com-bined with antibacterial drugs has favorable curative effect on bacterial keratitis, which can effectively enhance the healing of helcoma, improve the vision recovery and reduce the occurrence of complications.
2.Feminism and Women Bioethics: Exampled by Resolving the Tensions between Beauty and Life
Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(05):-
Together with Chinese mainstream ideology of equality between men and women, feminism has been profoundly impacted on women's bioethical attitudes and behaviors in contemporary Chinese society. The tension between women's pursuing for physical beauty and survival lasting shows that, under the influence of feminism, women have been out of attachment to men and gained equality with men and the independence, autonomy of life, but there will still be potential crisis of Bioethics. Therefore, referring to female bioethical issues, close attention must be paid to making use of the positive impact to feminist consciousness of feminism, and meanwhile prevent the distortion of feminist consciousness and crisis on Bioethics.

5.Prevention and Treatment of Atherosclerosis by Three Different Chinese Medical Compounds: a Mechanism Study.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2015;35(10):1244-1248
OBJECTIVETo study the effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BHD), Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction (XZD), and Sijunzi Decoction (SD) contained serums on expressions of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/nuclear factor (NF)-κB signals, lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor-1 (LOX-1), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), and to explore possible anti-atherosclerotic mechanisms.
METHODSTwenty New Zealand rabbits were divided into 4 groups at random, i.e., the normal control group, the BHD group (6.7 g/kg), the XZD group (3.6 g/kg), and the SD group (1.6 g/kg), 5 in each group. All medication lasted for 7 successive days. Two h after the final medication, about 50 mL blood was withdrawn from rabbit heart for preparing serums. Human umbilical vein endothelial cell ECV304 were cultured in vitro for 18 h and randomly divided into the blank control group, the model group, the Western medicine (WM) control group, the BHD group, the XZD group, and the SD group at random. ECV304, except in the blank control group, were stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) for 2 h. Those in the WM control group and CM groups were treated respectively with corresponding CM contained serum for 24 h. Finally gene and protein expressions of TLR4, myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88), tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor-6 (TRAF-6), NF-κB, LOX-1, TNF-α, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 were detected by fluorescent quantitative PCR and Western blot.
RESULTSCompared with the blank control group, mRNA expressions of TLR4, MyD88, TRAF-6, NF-KB, LOX-1 , TNF-cx, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 increased significantly; protein expressions of TLR4, NF-κB, LOX-1, TNF-α, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 also increased significantly in the model group (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, mRNA and protein expressions of each index could be significantly inhibited in the BHD group, the XZD group, and the WM control group (P < 0.05). Besides, mRNA and protein expressions of each index could be significantly elevated more in the BHD group and the XZD group than in the WM control group (P < 0.05). No statistical difference existed in each index between the SD group and the rest groups (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSThe mechanism of BHD and XZD for fighting against atherosclerosis might be associated with inhibiting TLR4/NF-κB signal transduction pathway and expressions of its downstream inflammatory factors such as LOX-1, TNF-α, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1. But SD showed no associated effect on atherosclerosis.

6.Pathogenesis and targeted therapy of Burkitt's lymphoma
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(10):786-789
Burkitt's lymphoma is a highly aggressive and proliferative type of mature B cell nonHodgkin's lymphoma. Therapeutic strategies for Burkitt's lymphoma remain a challenge because of significant toxicities and poor prognosis. Further studies investigating the underlying molecular mechanisms of the carcinogenesis, chemotherapy and drug resistance are needed to improve the treatment of Burkitt's lymphoma.
8.Soft tissue release processing in knee flexion contracture during knee replacement
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(48):8319-8324
BACKGROUND:Soft tissue releasing is a major means of correcting knee flexion contracture, and the soft tissue releasing methods are different for different knee joint diseases and degrees of deformity. Ideal soft tissue balance can gain a clear functional recovery and deformity correction from severe knee flexion contracture after total knee arthroplasty.
OBJECTIVE:To study the proper handling of knee flexion contracture and soft tissue releasing in total knee arthroplasty.
METHODS:Twenty-six cases of knee deformity in 20 ° to 60 ° receiving primary total knee arthroplasty were retrospectively studies. Steps of soft tissue releasing and residue deformity after each step were recorded. Postoperative fol ow-up was 12 months on average.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The 26 cases were recovered from knee flexion deformity after soft tissue release. Posterior capsular release was carried out in al cases to different extents, and the flexion deformity and postoperative range were corrected and greatly improved, respectively. These indicate that the posterior capsular release and lateral col ateral ligament release can correct most of the flexion deformity, but increasing the distal femoral osteotomy is not necessary.
9.Road traffic injuries in urban Beijing: a single hospital investigation
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2009;11(3):230-232
Objective To explore regional characteristics of road traffic injury in urban Beijing through analysis of the investigation by a single hospital. Methods Using Emergent Road Traffic Injury Questionnaire we designed, we performed a survey for 2 weeks on all the patients with road traffic injury who had sought medical care in the emergency department of our hospital. A comparison was made between them and other patients at the emergency department at the same period. Results From 8:00 on 25 April 2006 to 8:00 on 8 May 2006, 18 emergent cases of road traffic injury were treated. They accounted for 0.54% of all the emergency patients and 4.5% of all the trauma patients. They were 7 males and 11 females, with an average age of 48.3±14. 3 years. The average time to hospital was (26.8±14.4) rain. Seventeen cases of injury happened in the street, 1 in the highway;15 in Xicheng District, 1 in Haidian District, and 2 in the suburbs. They included 8 pedestrians, 9 riders, and 1 passenger. They were injured by 12 light vehicles, 2 heavy vehicles, 2 special vehicles, and 2 bicycles. Twelve patients had injury at extremity, 3 at spine, and 3 at multiple sites, They received treatment only in Emergency Department. No one was dead or hospitalized. Conclusions Contrary to common belief, road traffic injury patients seem to account for a small part of trauma patients and the injury tends to be moderate. Females and extremities may be more likely to get injured.
