Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2005;11(2):143-144
ObjectiveTo explore the clinical characteristics and prevention of asymptomatic bacteriuria in women patients with type 2 diabetes.MethodsThe data of 300 type 2 diabetes patients (75 with asymptomatic bacteriuria and 225 without asymptomatic bacteriuria), and 100 non diabetic controls were analyzed.ResultsThe incidence of asymptomatic bacteriuria in women patients with type 2 diabetes was 25%, and related risk factors included age, diabetes duration, level of serum glucose, hyperlipidia, diabetic neuropathy and macrovascular disease. The most frequent pathogenic agent was E. Coli.ConclusionAsymptomatic bacteriuria has a higher incidence rate in women patients with type 2 diabetes, and it maybe a part of chronic complication of diabetes.

6. Feasibility of replacing cholesterol by β-sitosterol to prepare quercetin liposomes
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2013;44(23):3303-3308
Objective: To study the feasibility of preparing quercetin liposomes with β-sitosterol instead of cholesterol and optimize the prescription and preparation of quercetin liposomes. Methods: Quercetin liposomes were prepared by film dispersion method with lecithin and β-sitosterol, encapsulation efficiency (EE) was determined by centrifugal precipitation method. EE and drug loading were adopted to evaluate and optimize preparation process as response in orthogonal design. Quercetin liposomes were characterized by particle size, potential, atomic force microscope (AFM) and in vitro release. Results: Film dispersion method was the best method to prepare quercetin liposomes with lecithin and β-sitosterol. The optimum preparation process determined by orthogonal design was as follow: the ratio of quercetin to lecithin was 1:5, the ratio of lecithin to β-sitosterol was 6:1, pH value of PBS buffer solution was 6.0, the hydration time was 2 h, the EE was (82.55 ± 1.10)%, drug loading was (11.40 ± 1.14)%, particle size was (194.60 ± 4.38) nm, Zeta potential was (-30.45 ± 0.42) mV, and the prepared quercetin liposomes were verified by AFM with round shape and homogenious particle size. There was no difference between new type liposome and ordinary liposome. Conclusion: Quercetin liposomes prepared with lecithin and β-sitosterol are practicable. The quercetin liposomes prepared by optimum preparation process have a high EE, good morphology, and reproducibility, and it can be used in industry.
7. Preparation and characterization of gypenosides liposomes consisted by lecithin and stigmasterol
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2013;44(18):2526-2530
Objective: To study the feasibility of preparing gypenoside liposomes (GLs) with stigmasterol instead of cholesterol, and to optimize the prescription and preparation of GLs. Methods: GLs without cholesterol were prepared by ethanol injection method with lecithin and stigmasterol, and the encapsulation efficiency was determined by protamine precipitation method. The encapsulation efficiency was adopted to evaluate and optimize the preparation process as response in orthogonal design assay. GLs were characterized by Dynamic Light Scattering and Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) using particle size and electric potential as indexes. Results: Ethanol injection was the best method to prepare GLs with lecithin and stigmasterol. The optimal preparation process determined by orthogonal design assay was as follows: the ratio of gypenosides to lecithin was 1:10, the ratio of lecithin to stigmasterol was 4:1, the pH value of PBS buffer solution was 7.0, and the hydration temperature was 35°C. The entrapment efficiency was (77.00 ± 1.17)%, the particle size was (202.6 ± 3.9) nm, the PDI was 0.108 ± 0.003, the zeta potential was (-28.66 ± 0.86) mV, and the morphology was round observed by AFM. Conclusion: The preparation of GLs with lecithin and stigmasterol was feasible. The GLs prepared by optimum preparation process have high encapsulation efficiency, good morphology, and reproducibility.
8.Isokinetic principle and its clinical application in orthopaedic rehabilitation
Ke YU ; Jianzhong FAN ;
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2002;0(02):-
Isokinetic training, as a technique of orthopaedic rehabilitation, is a new and valuable method in evaluation of muscle function and in training muscle strength. It has higher accuracy and reproducibility in evaluation of muscle function. When isokinetic training of muscle strength is done, kinetic velocity is fixed beforehand in the dynamic instrument so that the resistance matches the actual force applied by the individual. The resistance maintains the maximum throughout the range of motion and produces the greatest muscle strength. As a result, the isokinetic muscle strength is effective and safe in the orthopaedic rehabilitation.
9.Progress on obesity mediated by vagus nerve simulation and vagal blocking
International Journal of Surgery 2010;37(12):847-850
The optimal bariatric surgery is still not acquired although the obesity epidemic has become a worldwide problem. The recentness studies on obesity focused on mass balance regulated by central nervous system, in which an important circuit is vagus nerve. This review provides progress on obesity mediated by vagus nerve simulation and vagal blocking.
10.Expression of IMD, CRLR, RAMP1, RAMP2 and RAMP3 in cancer tissues of patients with non-small cell lung cancer and their clinical significance
Cancer Research and Clinic 2012;24(9):593-596
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of intermedin (IMD) and its.receptors CRLR,RAMP1,RAMP2 and RAMP3 in cancer tissues of patients with non-small cell lung cancer.Methods The mRNA gene expressions of IMD,CRLR,RAMP1,RAMP2 and RAMP3 were detected by realtime quantitative RT-PCR in cancerous and para-cancerous tissues from 27 patients with lung cancer.Results Real-time quantitative PCR detection results showed that the expression of IMD,CRLR,RAMP1,RAMP2 and RAMP3 in cancer tissues were [(59±7.9)×10-8,(96±2.7)×10-6,(29±3.9)×10-9,(14±2.6)×10-6,(65±1.1)×10-6]which were higher than those in adjacent tissues[(40±4.7)×10-10,(21 ±3.9)×10-6,(53±7.8)×10-10,(64±1.9)×10-8,(36±1.3)×10-9] to some extent (all P < 0.05); the higher expression of RAMP3 was found is higher expressions than RAMP1 and RAMP2 in cancer tissues (all P < 0.05).Conclusion The expressions of IMD and its receptors in cancer tissues are higher than those in paracancerous tissues.IMD may play an important role in the development of cancer by activate RAMP3 which is the most high expressed receptor in cancer tissues.Therefore,it might be helpful for the investigation of new gene thereapy in non-small cell lung cancer.
