Objective To investigate an accurate and applicable localizing method of puncture point for neuroendoscopic third ventriculostomy in neurosurgery so as to ensure that the neuroendoscope is led to the anterior membrane of mammillary body on the base of third ventricle directly. Methods Based on the MR characteristics including multiple directions and angles and high soft tissue resolution, the coordinate of puncture point was measured and calculated for neuroendoscopic third ventriculostomy in MRI. Results~The position of puncture point for neuroendoscopic third ventriculostomy was (127.2?9.9)mm to nasal root, or (17.1?5.6)mm in front of coronal suture and (20.3?4.7)mm to sagittal suture. The angle between the puncturing line and the cerebral falx was (12.3?1.9)?, and the depth from scalp to anterior membrane of mammillary body was (89.3?10.4)mm. Conclusion MRI-guided localization for neuroendoscopic third ventriculostomy is an accurate, simple, safe, painless, and applicable method.

In this study, the relationship between mycelium morphology and laccase production was studied. The results indicated that the morphology of P. ferulae pellets was changed when glass beads were added. Laccase production showed higher with spherical mycelium than with filamentous or flocculent mycelium. In addition, the spherical mycelium with a diameter of 0.2-0.4 mm highly affected laccase production. Effect of the composition of culture medium on pellets was investigated and results indicated that various concentrations of glucose, corn meal and wheat bran were important to the formation of pellets in diameter of 0.2-0.4 mm. Besides nutrients, the addition of non-nutritional substrates influenced the distribution of P. ferulae pellets. However, the production of laccase was not promoted by non-nutritional substrates.

Objective:To observe the effects of acupuncture and moxibustion on phosphatase and PTEN-induced putative kinase 1(PINK1)/Parkin signaling pathway in the midbrain substantia nigra of Thy1-α synuclein(αSyn)transgenic model mice with Parkinson disease(PD). Methods:Twenty-four Thy1-αSyn transgenic mice were randomly divided into a model group,an acupuncture group,an acupuncture + moxibustion group, and a Western medicine group.Six wild-type mice in the same litter were used as the wild-type group. In the acupuncture group,Baihui(GV20)and Yanglingquan(GB34)were selected for acupuncture. In the acupuncture + moxibustion group,Guanyuan(CV4)was added on the basis of the acupuncture group. The Western medicine group was given rapamycin intraperitoneal injection at a dose of 10 mg/(kg·bw).The wild-type group and the model group were fixed without intervention. The overall rod performance(ORP)score of mice was observed in each group. The immunohistochemical method was used to detect the tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)positive neurons in the substantia nigra of mice in each group. The αSyn was detected by the immunofluorescence chemical method. The expression levels of αSyn,microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3(LC3)-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ,autophagy protein sequestosome-1/protein 62(SQSTM-1/p62),PINK1,Parkin,and ubiquitin-specific protease 30(USP30)proteins were detected by Western blotting assay. The expression levels of LC3B,p62,PINK1,Parkin,and USP30 mRNAs were detected by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Results:Compared with the wild-type group, the ORP score, the p62,PINK1,and Parkin protein expression levels decreased significantly(P<0.01),the PINK1 mRNA expression level decreased(P<0.05),while the protein and mRNA expression levels of USP30 increased(P<0.05)in the model group.Compared with the model group, the ORP score in the acupuncture group and the acupuncture + moxibustion group increased(P<0.05);the expression level of LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ protein in the acupuncture + moxibustion group and the Western medicine group increased(P<0.05);the protein expression levels of p62,PINK1,and Parkin increased(P<0.05),while the USP30 protein expression level decreased significantly(P<0.01)in the acupuncture group, the acupuncture + moxibustion group, and the Western medicine group;the Parkin mRNA expression level in the acupuncture group and the acupuncture + moxibustion group increased(P<0.05);the USP30 mRNA expression level in the acupuncture + moxibustion group decreased(P<0.05). Conclusion:Acupuncture and moxibustion regulate the related molecule expression levels of PINK1/Parkin signaling pathway in the Thy1-αSyn transgenic PD model mice and promote the autophagy degradation of αSyn to exert the protective effect of dopaminergic neurons.

Objective:To investigate the effects of surgery with the Yeung endoscopic spine system (YESS) technique on lumbar range of motion and limb function in patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods:A total of 148 patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation admitted to Liaocheng Second Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University from April 2018 to April 2021 were included in this study. They were randomly divided into control and observation groups ( n = 74/group). The control group was treated with laminectomy, and the observation group was treated with an intervertebral foramen mirror YESS. The lumbar range of motion, Oswestry disability index score, and incidence of surgical complications were compared between the two groups. Results:At postoperative 7 days, ranges of motion in lumbar flexion, lumbar extension, left lumbar lateral flexion, and right lumbar lateral flexion in the observation group were (87.45 ± 7.38)°, (26.87 ± 3.41)°, (28.58 ± 3.41)°, (28.39 ± 3.41)°, which were significantly higher than (68.98 ± 6.51)°, (15.69 ± 3.23)°, (18.69 ± 2.32)°, (14.56 ± 2.96)° in the control group ( t = 16.15, 20.48, 20.63, 26.35, all P < 0.001). At postoperative 7 days, the Oswestry Disability Index in each group was significantly decreased compared with before treatment (both P < 0.05). At postoperative 7 days, the score of each dimension of the Oswestry Disability Index in the observation group was significantly lower compared with the control group ( t = 49.13, 50.20, 54.78, 37.79, 32.04, 36.68, 43.69, 28.92, 39.31, 64.12, all P < 0.001). There were no significant differences in the incidences of perioperative incision infection, nerve injury, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, lumbar spondylolisthesis, and foot drop between the two groups (all P > 0.05). Conclusion:Treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation with the YESS technique is helpful to improve lumbar mobility and reduce lumbar dysfunction and is highly safe.
