1.Analysis of 302 ADR Cases Caused by Danshen Injection
China Pharmacy 2007;0(32):-
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the types and the potential causes of Danshen injection inducing ADR cases. METHODS: 302 ADR cases induced by Danshen injection were collected from ADR cases reported in Jiangsu province from 2003 to 2008 according to reported primarily susceptive drug and the description of the ADR. All cases were analyzed statistically to find out possible reason that ADR was induced by active components of Danshen injection. RESULTS: Of total 302 ADR cases, 0.66% was likely to be caused by the active components of Danshen injection; 96.36% allergic reaction were not possibly related to active components; 2.32% was caused by the drug preparation; 0.66% was caused by unclear reason. CONCLUSION: More than 90% ADR cases induced by Danshen injection manifests as allergic reaction, which isn’t possibly related to main active components. The active components could induce the hemorrhage.

3.Proteomics and its application in medicine of reproduction
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
With the development of proteomics, the application of proteomics in the research for the medicine of reproduction becomes more and more widely, especially in physiology, pathology, toxicology of re- production and drug discovery. Significant performance has been achieved for instance, PHGPx is identified in mitoehondrial capsule by proteomies approach. 53 proteins involved in the spermatogenesis of rat are identified. The toxicological effect of TCDD on placenta of rat has also been conducted. As a kind of tools of molecular biology, proteomies approach brings into full play.

Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) can promote the invasion and metastasis of breast cancer through various mechanisms. The expressions of MMP-9 in the patients with breast cancer are correlated with the prognosis. The higher expression of MMP-9 indicates poorer prognosis. It is suggested that the level change of MMP-9 pre and post treatment can be used as a reference standard for judging the prognosis and clinical effect.

Aim: To evaluate the effects of bioactive extracts from Fructus Jujubae in attenuating the inflammation induced by Radix Kansui. Methods: Exoteric splenic lymphocyte ( SPL) of mouse and peritoneal macrophage ( PMψ) of rat were used as cell model to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effects of fractions from Fructus Jujubae. MTT method was used to assay SPL proliferation, and Griess method was used in NO release of PMψ. Firstly, Radix Kansui fraction was applied to induce inflammatory effects of the cells, and then, the anti-inflammatory effects of five extracts of Fructus Jujubae were investigated to determine the active fractions in Fructus Jujubae, which probably contribute to the attenuation of Radix Kansui. The effects of Fructus Jujubae extract in interfering the gastrointestinal acute damages caused by the extract of Radix Kansui were observed according to the pathological sections of mice. Results: The extract RK-3 ( diterpenes) exhibited the most significant pro-inflammatory effect. The bioactive extracts B (micromolecule saccharides and amino acids), D(flavonoid glycosides), and E (triterpenes) of Fructus Jujubae could attenuate the action of RK-3. The effective extract of Fructus Jujubae protected stomach and duodenum of mouse from acute damages caused by the extract of Radix Kansui. Conclusion: Fraction RK-3 (diterpenes) of Radix Kansui had pro-inflammatory effects, and some extracts of Fructus Jujubae could attenuate this effect of Radix Kansui. The results helped to clarify that Fructus Jujubae attenuates the toxic effect of Radix Kansui in certain cases, and the bioactive extracts of Fructus Jujubae discovered in the experiments offer the basis for further research to the active components of Fructus Jujubae.

OBJECTIVETo observe the changes of NYGGF4 gene expression during human preadipocyte differentiation and to explore the regulative role of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFalpha) on NYGGF4 gene expression in matured human adipocytes.
METHODSHuman preadipocytes-visceral (HPA-v) were cultured in vitro and differentiated into the matured adipocytes. Fully differentiated adipocytes were treated with TNFalpha in different concentrations for 16 hours or at 10 ng/mL for various times. Levels of the NYGGF4 mRNA were evaluated by real-time reverse transcription-PCR(RT-PCR).
RESULTS(1) After induction of differentiation, more than 90% of the HPAs-v exhibited typical adipocyte morphology on the 17th day. (2) In human preadipocytes, the level of NYGGF4 mRNA expression remained low. The NYGGF4 mRNA level was gradually increased with the preadipocytes being differentiated into the matured adipocytes, and reached the highest level in the fully differentiated adipocytes. (3) Treatment of the human matured adipocytes with TNFalpha resulted in a significant increase in the level of NYGGF4 mRNA. The up-regulatory effect of TNFalpha on the NYGGF4 gene expression tended to be enhanced with the increasing concentrations and elongation of time.
CONCLUSIONDuring human preadipocytes differentiation, the level of NYGGF4 gene mRNA expression increases gradually. TNFalpha could upregulate the expression of NYGGF4 mRNA in human matured adipocytes. The regulatory effect of TNFalpha on the NYGGF4 gene expression is of dose-dependent and time-correlated.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of capecitabine in the treatment of colorectal cancer. Methods Totally 160 elderly patients with stageⅣcolorectal cancer were enrolled in this study. After first-line combined chemotherapy,80 patients were treated with capecitabine monotherapy(maintenance group)and another 80 cases were not(control group). The survival rate was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier curve and the efficiency and incidence of adverse events were compared. Results (1) The Kaplan-Meier curve suggested that the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The response rate of maintenance group was significantly higher than that of control group (P < 0.05). (3)The incidence of adverse events during capecitabine monotherapy was lower than that during combined chemotherapy(P < 0.05).(4)The incidence of adverse reactions during capecitabine monotherapy was similar to that of control group(P > 0.05). Conclusion Capecitabine monotherapy in patients with stage Ⅳ colorectal cancer after combined chemotherapy has a longer median PFS than those without maintenance but similar adverse reactions ,which was worthy of clinical promotion.

Objective:To investigate the safety of inter-hospital referral and the prognosis of neonatal with critical congenital heart disease. Methods:The criticality score, transit distance and time, and the prognosis of 237 newborns with critical congenital heart disease in Guangdong Provincial People′s Hospital from July 2016 to July 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Results:A total of 237 children were included (162 male and 75 female) with the median age of 6 days and the median body weight of 2.98 kg.The median transit distance was 90 km.The average value of neonatal critical illness score (NCIS) was (86.54±9.05) scores before transport; 136 cases were greater than 90 scores, 84 cases between 70 and 90 scores, 17 cases less than 70 scores; while the average NCIS was (87.05±8.19) scores when arrived at neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), 138 cases were greater than 90 scores, 82 cases between 70 and 90 scores, 17 cases less than 70 scores. There were no significant differences in the scores of critical cases before and after transfer according to the transfer time and distance ( t=0.346, P>0.05). There was no one death occurred during the transfer process. All over, 222 cases were cured and discharged from the hospital after surgery and or medical interventional treatments, 15 cases died after giving up treatment or losing the opportunity for surgery. Conclusions:It is safe and effective of the inter-hospital transport for the rescue of infants with critical congenital heart disease when followed the principles and transport rules and regulations, with trained workers and special equipments.
